Trouble With Getting A Suboxone Prescrption! (Page 4)

Hi All, My name is Amy. I was addicted to oxy's for seven years and then herion for 2 years. I live in Pa. I got on methadone and it really helped. I was on methadone for 7 years. I got off of it in Dec. 2008. I decreased very slowly from 80mgs to one mg. I thought i was gonna be fine, my counselor led me to believe I wouldnt have bad withdrawls, well 2 days after I felt HORRIBLE! I was in bad withdrawl. I bought suboxone from a friend. It worked a miracle! See I dont think a suboxone doctor will see me, first because I am not using oxys or heroin, second I suffer from P.T.S.D, depression, aniexty and severe panic attacks. I see a psyciatrist and thereapist. I am on klonopin, xanax, and effexor. I was told that I can not go to a suboxone doctor because I am on these medications. So I am in a hard spot. Because I do not have a sub. doctor and have trouble finding them I relapsed on herion on May 2, 2009. I actually Over dossed and almost died. I just dont know what to do, I definately do not want to get back on the methadone. Does anyone have any advice or live in Pennsylvania and know the laws about being on suboxone and anxiety meds.? I do not get high from the suboxone, it gives me some energy and lets me be normal, no cravings,I feel great. It just really sucks that I can not get a prescription for suboxone. Does anyone have a similar problem or does anyone know of anything I can do so I can get a prescription for suboxone. I see all this online stuff, but can i trust it? it says u can buy suboxone online. Is this true? Sorry this is so long, I am just confused and worried. I do not want to ever relapse again. I have been on suboxone for about 10 years now and they are still working for me so it is a great drug I call it a miracle drug actually. I have had some sub doctors even prescribe benzoes with my suboxone! Really it depends on the doctor some will allow you to take them and some won't. Most of the ones that do want you too get it from a psychiatrist. A lot don't like to mix it with xanax most prefer Valium again it just depends on the doctor? So please just research sub doctors and see what the agree too for your own well- being! Sorry for your relapse and overdose I pray it won't happen again life is too short as it is now! Hi I have a similar problem I was on the script and there was a change in my insurance the insurance will pay but the doctor wants me to pay up front they won't Bill them so they won't even write me a scout until I can get what is called a f s a card which takes about a week the place is called harvest view concealing in Milwaukee. I am on suboxone. You are correct. MIRACLE! I live in WI so not sure on laws and differences between my state and your own but I have a very close friend who is on 2 of the other drugs you listed, not on the Effexor though. They are being prescribed Xanax, klonipin, and sub all from one doc. Klonipin is actually used at times to come off of sub ( with 2 other meds as well) so I do not see why that one would matter. I am prescribed adderoll for my adhd, and suboxone. Honestly I had a friend try the "Canada meds " online thing and an undercover police officer dressed as a FedEx man deliver them and arrested him. It is illegal, they will take your money and ship it, they won't be charged, but you will. Good luck! Suboxone saved my life and I am thankful for it each and every day.

recently moved to odessa, texas. i have been on suboxone for about 4 years and now i cant find a doctor anywhere around here to prescribe them for me. i am desperate. if anyone can help please do.

Hello mistas and sistas, i took the suboxone and made me not take s*** fir two months when i went to da docta he say no good caused me to lose libido, now my wifey left me. i wanna die. im back on the H now.

Ok. I'm feeling so great. I started my suboxone over two weeks ago. I went on Facebook and the group there helped me ASAP. I'm so blessed. No more cravings nor withdrawals. I have a doctor now and finally getting the help I needed

Well Ive been on subs for 5 years and klonopin for the same amount of time because suboxone does not help panic disorder. I know xanax is a little stronger than klonopin but im at a 1mg dose a day when needed and I have never had a problem. My suboxone psychologist prescribes me both suboxone and klonopin as well as for my general anxiety (zoloft). They are safe to take together. So your doctor doesn't know what they are speaking of. Xanax and Klonopin are both benzos, and are safe to take with buprenorphine as long as you obviously arent abusing them! And all those getting on suboxone. I wish I knew this before I went on 5 years ago...do not start at anything higher then 8mgs ...even that is too high for the hardest long term opiate addicts. Suboxone is not a miracle drug. Im addicted to it now - the only good thing is that I dont buy it on the streets and dont crave or desire at all other opiates. Sometimes I think if I went cold turkey from painkillers instea of getting on suboxone - Idve been much better off. I was started on 8mgs of suboxone then increase to 16mgs then to 24mgs. Im down to 2-3mgs a day 5 years later and I struggle to take just 2-3mgs a day - even though I know i have to have enough until my next script. Withdrawals from this is so much worse than opiates (oxycontin, percocet, roxycodone etc) i know because Ive dealt with it. You need to properly taper down to at the most 0.5mgs for a couple of weeks before hopping off the drug or withdrawals will be hell. Not trying to worry anyone but its true Ive lived it. That is unless you want to stay on suboxone for the rest of your life then it is what it is. I wish I could but I want my family to know and I want to live a full opiate free life eventually. Not be controlled by the BIG PHARMA. And not have to deal with the red tape between doctors, insurances, and pharmacies - if I have a choixe no to. So before getting on suboxone, do what I didn't. And that is: research research research the heck out of the medicine. Too many doctors start patients on too high of a dose and they become addicted very easily. Im a walking example. In order of strength (even though suboxone is a partial opiate - think about this.) The Top 3 most powerful opiate type drugs: (notice oxycontin and roxys and even morphine dont even make the top 3). So here they are in order from strongest and down

1.) Fentanyl (100 times more powerful than Morphine.)
2.) Methadone
3.) ...Suboxone/Subetex

So please if you want this to help you get off opiates. Do extensive research and try to be on and off the subs within a 6 month period. Otherwise you get stuck on it like me. Even at 2mgs - suboxone is more powerful than 30mgs of morphine. Ok.

It is unfortunate that we have this addiction problem, and the simple solution is unreachable for the poorest of the poor. Why is it so hard to find a doctor to provide help to those who wants to be helped? My son, who had been on opiates for 6 years due to back problems (even surgery didn't help) went to a doctor who charges $250 for per visit. Had only one. The visit has to be monthly, to get the prescription. He does not have insurance, and looking for a job. But has restrictions, so job is not easy to find. What to do but quit cold turkey? Where can we find a doctor that will not charge that much? Medication is so expensive as well. We are in OH.
