Trouble With Getting A Suboxone Prescrption! (Page 3)

Hi All, My name is Amy. I was addicted to oxy's for seven years and then herion for 2 years. I live in Pa. I got on methadone and it really helped. I was on methadone for 7 years. I got off of it in Dec. 2008. I decreased very slowly from 80mgs to one mg. I thought i was gonna be fine, my counselor led me to believe I wouldnt have bad withdrawls, well 2 days after I felt HORRIBLE! I was in bad withdrawl. I bought suboxone from a friend. It worked a miracle! See I dont think a suboxone doctor will see me, first because I am not using oxys or heroin, second I suffer from P.T.S.D, depression, aniexty and severe panic attacks. I see a psyciatrist and thereapist. I am on klonopin, xanax, and effexor. I was told that I can not go to a suboxone doctor because I am on these medications. So I am in a hard spot. Because I do not have a sub. doctor and have trouble finding them I relapsed on herion on May 2, 2009. I actually Over dossed and almost died. I just dont know what to do, I definately do not want to get back on the methadone. Does anyone have any advice or live in Pennsylvania and know the laws about being on suboxone and anxiety meds.? I do not get high from the suboxone, it gives me some energy and lets me be normal, no cravings,I feel great. It just really sucks that I can not get a prescription for suboxone. Does anyone have a similar problem or does anyone know of anything I can do so I can get a prescription for suboxone. I see all this online stuff, but can i trust it? it says u can buy suboxone online. Is this true? Sorry this is so long, I am just confused and worried. I do not want to ever relapse again. I am detoxing from vicadin 10 or 12 a day. My Dr wasn't qualified to give anything but clonidine. I'm not craving bit the detox is killing me I need such oxen

If you get an answer please please please let me know. I was on it for a little while then they put me on methadone which is 10 times more horrible than what I was doing when I went to the clinic. I dropped one of the pills so they said I was trying to sneak them out. The short time I was on suboxone it was a miracle but there is not a doctor in a hundred mile radius that will see me. Well there was one, he charges $600 cash only and will not fill out the pre authorization forms for insurance. I am a millimeter away from suicide, I know there is a medication that would be wonderful and I can't get it.

This all depends on who the person is. Ive taken opiets with Sub before and never got the withdrawal feeling. Shouldn't be mixing them up at all but my doctor had given me a small dosage for pain for a short time while I was on my sub. I had no problems with any Detox symptoms. Now I have a friend who it actually does get the withdrawal feeling. So it all depends.

So did your sub doc "dump" you because you overdosed? It is not one or the other, per say, it's called a doctors discretion. Meaning one doctor may be fine with prescribing Xanax and suboxone and another doctor may be against it. My sub doctor prescribes me adderall for my adhd, which I don't even think I have but it does help me with attention to detail and concentration, but have you tried to try any other prescriptions like Xanax? All I can really say is your best bet is to find a sub doctor that is not against Xanax being prescribed with sub. I'm thinking your sub doc ran a program where they were under a zero tolerance policy - if u relapse, have a dirty UA or come up short on a pill / strip count your out of the program regardless of reason no matter how legit it is. I disagree with these so called help programs when CLEARLY relapse is part of recovery! But it is what they are... usually under the direction of the FDA who are as crooked as fed agencies come. Call around to local hospitals and ask for any and all local semi local sub doctors. GOOD LUCK!

They will take you no matter what call dr. Gooberman He's right by where you live and tell him what's going on you don't actively have that be doing anything and just have to have the cravings of relapsing

I have a friend, we live in Wisconsin, we both are in Suboxone program, I take sub and adderoll for my adhd , she however has severe anxiety like you, panic attacks, we have the same doctor, and our doctor prescribes all our meds. So I don't think it's the Xanax that is the problem. I see no reason you can not see a sub doc. Perhaps there is an interaction that is the only thing or way I can see a sub doc not prescribing something. Look at it this way, u already relapsed, take an icy the day before your sub appt. I did that. I was under the impression I had to be clean, found out I needed to be in withdrawl, I took 5 Percocet 5mg the day before and had no problem. I have been on sub 5+ years and yes it truly is a miracle , as I now am a great dad, boyfriend, friend, and back as a part of my family. Everybody is amazed at the changes I've made. Don't let anything stop u girl!! Relapse one more time to potentially save your life / change your life for the better in every way! Maybe it's the Effexor ? You could make an appt, or even let them know before, and maybe your other meds can be switched to something that does not have a bad interaction with the sub. I hope this helps!

The site won't allow our info on here. Hate it too I'm needing all the help can get. I have script for suboxone but waiting still on prior authorization again. I'm so stressed and can't get my meds till approved cause can't afford them. Waiting four days now. Still pending was hell doctor office kept missing information they requested so it's taking this long and been out of my meds

I am having the EXACT same problem as you. I have been on Xanax for my anxiety disorder (diagnosed at 11....32 now). I also am treated with an anti-depressant for my depression. I was an idiot and got hooked on heroin a few years ago. I was able to somehow get a sub doctor without him knowing I was being treated with a controlled substance...and the same way the other side. Subs worked like a miracle. I was clean within a week, and that week became over a year, after only taking one sub strip once a day for 2 months. Well I relapsed recently and overdosed, almost dying. The ER I was taken to sent the incident report to my main doctor who basically dumped me as a patient. I have BRUTAL anxiety and he will no longer prescribe me my normal medications. I have not ONCE abused my medication. Now I am forced to try to buy medication off the street to be able to function...and I no longer have a sub doctor...which I really really need. It's one or the other I guess. I'll never understand it. This is what it's like up here around Albany, NY! I have neither of the medications I need to get by, and literally feel my life falling apart. I was so desperate I was looking online for somewhere that might sell either. Both to no avail.
