I was a pharmaceutical chemist then I got a job testing the samples provided for drug testing, this of course after I cleaned up my life. But I have been in you're shoes. Straight up tizanidine will not even be tested for unless the testing party has a reason, such as if you're on probation for tizanadine abuse or go to a pain clinic. Every drug has a cutoff for pass/fail and each person metabolizes differently. Tizanadine is only looked at in about 1% of the samples I test, typically in parole and pain managment cases. People that take Tizanidine will test positive for opiates. It's considered a narcotic, because there's 1 ingredient that they use in this and its used in opiates like percocet. The reason I know? - I just got prescribed it and it is a muscle relaxer, but my doctor told me it is considered a narcotic and he gave me a urine stick to take home, so he knows I'm taking it. I have had hallucinations and terrible, very realistic nightmares. I finally figured out that it was only after I took my tizanidine. I thought I was going crazy. I am not going to take it anymore and hope that I return to normal. My husband also complained about me acting and speaking unusually. ## Glad to hear you stopped taking it. I have been on tizanidine, for about two weeks give or take. I was wandering if anyone could tell me if the morning dose drowsiness and dizziness will lessen as I take it, sleeping a for two hours or so during the day isn't very productive. ## Tizanidine is a muscle relaxant it can cause such side effects, but yes, they should taper off after awhile, as your body adjusts to the medication, but that may take about a month. What is this pill? I found it in my son's room. It's white, round and small. One side has the markings APO TI-4 and the other side has no markings.
