white, round pill, with 503 imprinted on one side and an X on the other ## This tablet is manufactured by Caraco Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 4mgs of Tizanidine, which is a muscle relaxant that is used to treat the pain associated with muscle sprains, strains, and spasms. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Will a round white pill with 503 on one side and a cross on other turn up on a U/A? I have only taken one 2 days ago and have a U/A on the 18th, about 3 days from now.
2 REPLIES UpdatedI was prescribed Tizanidine 4 mg and took 30 within a 4 week span. How long would this amount take to get out of my body? Any info appreciated! ## Hello, Beezer! How are you? The FDA classifies Tizanidine as a muscle relaxant, so there is no reason to worry about being on it. It is not addictive or habit forming. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Did you have a bad reaction to it? ## I had an awful reaction to this drug. Combined with my blood pressure medicine (Bystolic) I took one of the Tizandine in the evening - have fibromyalgia and restless leg syndrome. May husband found me passed out in the bathroom with blood flowing from my head. Evidently I passed out when I went into the bathroom during the night. I have a huge scar on m...
6 REPLIES UpdatedA round white pill. One side has a U at the top and underneath it is the number 158. The other side has a line separating the pill in half. ## Hello, Jane! How are you? The closest I can find to this tablet is one manufactured by Unichem Pharmaceuticals with the marking U 168, so can you please double check the markings and post back? They list it as containing 2mgs of Tizanidine, the FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. ## In one of my prescriptions, there were almost 20 of the U 158 pills mistakenly added. The U is on top and there is a line underneath it, then the numbers 158. I can’t find anything about it online and all I can find is U 168, which is not what my prescription was supposed to be either. Does anyone ...
3 REPLIES UpdatedWhat is this pill for? It's white and oval with the letters RlSO on one side and a cross on the back. ## Hi, Shortie! How are you? The markings on these are a bit hard to read, they tend to not imprint very well, but what I believe you're seeing is actually meant to be R180 and the tablet contains 4mgs of Tizanidine, which is a muscle relaxant, it's a generic for Zanaflex. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and headache. Can you please double check the people and see if that S is perhaps actually an 8? Thanks! ## What kind of a pill is riso with a cross on back of pill ## Yes it’s an "8": Rl80
3 REPLIES UpdatedAre u sick of looking for answers and never find them? I once was too. I was a pharmaceutical chemist then I got a job testing the samples provided for drug testing, this of course after I cleaned up my life. But I have been in you're shoes. Straight up tizanidine will not even be tested for unless the testing party has a reason, such as if you're on probation for tizanadine abuse or go to a pain clinic. Every drug has a cutoff for pass/fail and each person metabolizes differently. Tizanadine is only looked at in about 1% of the samples I test, typically in parole and pain managment cases. If you are still concerned it is a proven fact that flushing your body with water for 24 hours will skew the results and increase you're chances of passing exponentially. Even when I test ...
7 REPLIES UpdatedWas taking soma till my insurance put me on tizanadine 4mg once a day which does nothing is that a comparison choice? ## Hello, Annie! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. No, none of the others are really as good as the Soma. The closest might be Skelaxin, which contains the active ingredient Metaxalone, so you may want to ask your doctor about trying it. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I WAS TAKING SOMA 3 AT BEDTIME INSURANCE DOES NOT WANT TO PAY FOR SOMA NO MORE THEY GAVEME TIZANIDINE 4MG HOW MUCH TIZADINE I SHOULD TAKE AT BEDTIME ## Hi I saw your thead and if your ins does want to oay for your soma, be aware that soma is an inexpensive medication. I used to get 120 and woul...
35 REPLIES UpdatedPeople that take Tizanidine will test positive for opiates. It's considered a narcotic, because there's 1 ingredient that they use in this and its used in opiates like percocet. The reason I know? - I just got prescribed it and it is a muscle relaxer, but my doctor told me it is considered a narcotic and he gave me a urine stick to take home, so he knows I'm taking it. Just so you people know, it will show up positive. Editor's note: Tizanidine is not considered an opiate. It is classified as a muscle relaxer [1]. ## You are wrong. It absolutely is not a controlled substance therefore not a narcotic. There are no opiates in zanaflex. Please know what you are talking about before you respond. ## Actually Tizanidine will NOT test positive for opiates. I take Tizanidine 3 t...

2 REPLIES UpdatedI have a small round white pills with u158 on one side and when I searched for the type of pills they're it comes back saying no results and this can't be true and I'm looking at the imprint clearly, can you please tell me what it's used for. Thank you ## @Curiosity, I just had a few questions about your pill in order to help narrow down some prospects: *Could the letter "u" on your pill possibly be depicted as a logo of some sort? *How are numbers arranged on the pill relative to the "u"? (e.g. is the "u" sitting above a score line on one side with the "158" underneath it or are they pictured exactly as you described "u158"?) *Whereabouts did you get it from? I thought I should note that I also located a very similar looking pill ...

3 REPLIES Updatedwhite oval scored 4 ways on one side and p180 on the other ## I believe the imprint you were looking at was actually R 180, it matches this description. 1 REPLY UpdatedFound a bottle of tizanidine filled in 2015. Will it be safe to take? If so, will it still work? Also can you take seroquel with tizanidine? ## This medication does not become dangerous once expired, but it may start to lose efficacy, according to FDA reports. They can be taken together, if they have both been prescribed for you, but you may experience more severe side effects than usual, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, and confusion. When was it filled in 2015? Usually, the expiration date is a year from the date it was dispensed to you by your pharmacy. ## It was filled 4/2014 and it says expires on 4/2015. Sorry looked at the expiration instead date filled, so I guess that tells me its too old, right? Thanks for taking time to reply. So are they really bad? ## I have a bootle ...
3 REPLIES UpdatedI have had hallucinations and terrible, very realistic nightmares. I finally figured out that it was only after I took my tizanidine. I thought I was going crazy. I am not going to take it anymore and hope that I return to normal. My husband also complained about me acting and speaking unusually. ## Glad to hear you stopped taking it. Tizanidine does seem like a pretty dangerous medication when it comes down to possible side effects. MedlinePlus lists "changes in vision" as well as "seeing things or hearing voices that do not exist" to be common but serious side effects of Tizanidine. Learn More: Tizanidine Details Have you already started looking into other alternative treatment options? ## I have had hallucinations when taking this as well! They usually occur in the da...
11 REPLIES UpdatedI have been on tizanidine, for about two weeks give or take. I was wandering if anyone could tell me if the morning dose drowsiness and dizziness will lessen as I take it, sleeping a for two hours or so during the day isn't very productive. ## Tizanidine is a muscle relaxant it can cause such side effects, but yes, they should taper off after awhile, as your body adjusts to the medication, but that may take about a month. Learn more Tizanidine details here. Are you taking it regularly, rather than on an as needed basis? That's how these medications are usually prescribed. ## I've been taking it for about 3 months and it still makes me drowsy. I can't take my morning dose unless I have time to lay down and take a nap. My body gets used to most prescriptions fairly quickly...
3 REPLIES UpdatedRound, white, E44 on the front, cross on the back ## A child in my school is said to be using this medication for a mood disorder. Could this be correct? or did the mother give me the wrong medication? ## Sandoz Pharmaceuticals lists this tablet as containing 4mgs of Tizanidine, which is a muscle relaxant. So, while it may be calming, it i not usually used to treat mood disorders. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. 1 REPLY UpdatedI found a large white pill with M 324. What is this? My son found this, and gave it to me. I am very concerned. ## Hi Sussn, How would describe the imprint in so far as the way it's arranged on the pill? For example: Is the "M" sitting over top of the "324" or is the the "M" on one side and "324" on the other; etc? Based on your description, the closest match I'm finding is a round white pill (approx. 10.00 mm in size) with an "M" over top of "724" on one side and is cross-scored (+) on the back. This particular pill reportedly contains 4mgs of Tizanidine hydrochloride, which is used as a muscle relaxant. For verification, the pill itself carries a National Drug Code of 00378-0724 and is manufactured by Mylan. I hope this helps! ##...

2 REPLIES UpdatedI'm trying to identify a pill imprinted with U 153. There's also a cross score (X) on the back like you could cut into four pieces. Thanks for any help. ## Is it possible that the marking is actually U 159? Can you please double check and post back? There is tablet with that marking that is scored in a cross shape, it is manufactured by Unichem Pharmaceuticals, and they list it as containing 4mgs of Tizanidine, which is muscle relaxant that is used to the pain associated with sprains, strains, and spasms. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, and headache. It is a relatively mild one, not nearly as potent as some of the others that are available.
