How are you doing? If they are taking blood samples regularly to check your thyroid levels, it is completely normal for your doctor to adjust the dosage accordingly. There isn't one set dosage that you can be given, since the hormone levels fluctuate, the medication dosage must be changed to compensate. Is there anything else I can help with?

Recently diagnosed with underactive thyroid. Extremely low vitamin d levels suagar levels elevated and what ever level is elevated that should be an indication of gall stones or gall bladder issues. Dr put me on 50. Mcg of levothyroxine. I went back for blood work in a month. At about the same time I had severe itching. Doctor said all levels looked good and I didn't feel as sluggish. Dr left me on the same strength but changed to synthroid. My skin itches and burns like crazy. I haven't taken any synthroid for 2 days but I still itch. How long before the itching should subside? ## Hello, Julia! How are you? Sorry about the itching problem. This has been reported by many people with thyroid issues and it could be related to that, rather than the medication. Have you consulted yo...

doctor prescribed me ebexid tablets. i have cystic ovary. No thyroid problems.[TSH-2.8]. Is this a multivitamin tablet? ## Hello, Dona! How are you? This is a medication that combines desiccated thyroid with vitamins and nutrients. Many women with PCOS do have thyroid problems, but if you don't, I am not sure why he would prescribe this. Have you asked your doctor about it?

Do these two drugs mix well? I have been taking soboxins for a year and my dr. Said he has to remove my thyroid and take synthroid. He doesn't know I have been taking. the soboxins. ## Hello, Sue! How are you? Sorry about the thyroid issue. As to your doctor not knowing about you being on the Suboxone, you must tell them that, before the surgery. If they aren't informed, it could put you at great risk of serious complications and the inability to be properly anesthetized or to get adequate pain relief after surgery. Learn more Suboxone details here. This isn't a risk worth taking, you may need to switch to Subutex or to take a break from the Suboxone for a few days to have the surgery. Bought levothyroxine 75mcg at pharmacy in Costa Rica. Packaging says made by Merck in Mexico. White pill with 75 on one side and a cross on the other. No letters but everything I read says it should have an EM with the number. Anyone know if it's ok if in merck package that says levothyroxine 75 mcg? ## Hello, Lee! How are you? I'm sorry, I've tried searching for this, but haven't found anything yet, it's difficult to positively identify pills from foreign sources. I'll keep looking and post back, when I have information for you. Does anyone else recognize this tablet?

My life is my kids & wonderful husband. I'm so sorry, guys! Me-diagnosed w/ hypo-thyroidism '09. COULD NOT EVER-finish a sentence/thought/ or even a simple word like 'table' Slept 17-21 hrs/day. Dr put me in the Hosp. when my Husb. took me to the ER.Dr said I was extremely ill. In a "crisis stage/state" I was stabilized-out in 4dys. Started on 100mcgs of Levothyroxin. And I turned into a b**** from hell!²-(squared) So, I tried 50, 25,12.5, & even 6&¼! And I was still a polar opposite of my true personality. I take levothyroxine 200mg because i had thyroid cancer. blood test show that now my thyroid is very overactive is this dangerous ## Levothyroxine, a generic for Synthroid, is a hormone used to supplement when someone's Thyroid does not produce enough. There are medical conditions that can arise when you have too much of this hormone as well, however, only your doctor can decide what the appropriate treatment is for you in conjunction with those levels. Was there anything else I could help you with? ## Hi I've recently been diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia they put me on carbagen 100ml 2 a day , as its coming up to christmas and family will be round can I drink alchole ? .

I started on Levothyroxine about a month ago, 50 mg, but got severe headaches, so dropped the dose to 25 mg. I still feel exhausted but the headaches have nearly gone, but there is another very uncomfortable problem. I have severe itching in my nether regions, so bad that it is interfering with my life. I stopped taking the meds over the weekend, and the itching stopped. Now I am back on it, and the itching has returned, so it's definitely the Levo that's causing it. I have no transmitted diseases, no candida, no other reason for it. Will this fade in time, or do I have to accept that while I'm on thyroid meds, I will itch? It's awful... ## Hello, Cantsit! I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism about 5 years ago. I started taking Synthroid and lost 40 pounds within about a year (I was actually almost underweight - joy of joys, right?) Slowly, I gained weight, and couldn't diet or exercise it off. I was sick and hardly ate for 5 days and didn't lose an ounce. But, my weight still wasn't terribly. Flash forward to 3 months ago when my doctor upped my dosage. Within the past two months, I've gained 12 pounds - 5 of those pounds were gained between last night and this morning. I ate normally, so what gives? I'm putting on weight at an alarming weight and nothing seems to help. Any ideas out there? For now, I'm going back to my old dosage. ## Hello, Rose! How are you doing? I have a numbness / tingling of the jaw some really wierd feelings in the throat and neck. I have been on Levothyroxine for three months for an underactive thyroid Could this a side effect of the drug? ## This is not a known side effect of the drug, however, I would stop using it for a day or two to see if that changes anything. I have been on Levothyroxine for 20 years. three years ago I developed a very itchy rash been on steroids, changed detergents and used many creams recently went off a steroid cream which caused thinning of my skin with blood spots and tearing of my skin. Recently had more blood test and my TSH is .500 could the rash be from too much medication? ## Hello, Charlie! How are you doing? What dosage are you on? Have you seen an allergist/immunologist? It's very difficult to say why such a thing happens to anyone. It could be related to the medication, your thyroid condition, or not related to either one. What does your doctor think? My TSH levels were 4.5 so they raised my dose to 50mcg I am always so tired and suck all the time ## Hello, Beth! How are you feeling? Sorry about the issues that you're having. Being tired and sick are things that almost everyone with a thyroid issue goes through for awhile, it does play a major role in the proper regulation of our bodies. The medication being added also disrupts things for awhile and can add to the issues, until things start to balance out in your body. Learn more Levothyroxine details here. But things will start to improve, as your body gets used to the medication and things settle down. When will you be seeing your doctor, again?

I have been taking levothyroxine for 5wks now, i was borderline when diagnosed. I have had terrible side effects while taking this medication, palputations anxiety unable to sleep headaches and an increase in blood pressure. My gp said i could just stop taking the medication and has taken another blood test. Will i have any withdrawel symptoms. ## Hello, Andre! How are you doing? You may have some, but they shouldn't be too bad, since you were only on it for a few weeks. When will you get the results of the new blood work? If you were just borderline, it was probably a little soon to jump to a medication for treatment, especially with all the issues this one is known to cause. Learn more Levothyroxine details here.

I wanted to know if I can take mini thins while taking Synthroid. I have gained alot of weight since losing my throid and a nurse told me I could take the white ones with the cross on them. I just was wondering if it is something I should try being that she said it was safe to use and I can lose the weight with these. ## Hi, DeeDee! How are you doing? Mini Thins actually contain Ephedrine, which can be a very dangerous stimulant, if used improperly, mixed with some other medications or if taken with certain medical conditions.
