Severe Itch

Recently diagnosed with underactive thyroid. Extremely low vitamin d levels suagar levels elevated and what ever level is elevated that should be an indication of gall stones or gall bladder issues. Dr put me on 50. Mcg of levothyroxine. I went back for blood work in a month. At about the same time I had severe itching. Doctor said all levels looked good and I didn't feel as sluggish. Dr left me on the same strength but changed to synthroid. My skin itches and burns like crazy. I haven't taken any synthroid for 2 days but I still itch. How long before the itching should subside?

Hello, Julia! How are you? Sorry about the itching problem.

This has been reported by many people with thyroid issues and it could be related to that, rather than the medication.

Have you consulted your doctor again, yet? They may be able to advise you on an antihistamine or something you can use to help calm it down.
