I'm trying to find someone {ins. or prescription discounts..} some kind of help for my son.. a doctor is treating him with suboxone.. but, my son can't afford the medicine.. the doctor 's cost is $180 every visit and the medicine is very expensive also... please tell me if you know how he can get help with this.. ## He is probably going to a pain clinic and they will only accept cash.If he has MRI's and is really in pain where a General Practitioner can see it on MRI's.They will take insurance for DR visit and are about 80 dollars cheaper a visit if no insurance.I also have a Prescription discount card that works everywhere not like the free ones they send in the mail.It only cost $50.00 a year! You will save more then $50.00 on ur 1st prescription. Google RXDrugCard....

What is the difference in taking the Saboxin strips as opposed to taking the pill? ## The reasons for choosing film over tablets can be different for each person, however from what I could gather, several patients said the film dissolved much faster and felt that they got better absorption or bioavailability with the film for that reason. If you have to take the medication several times per day (including while at work), then the disposable film packaging may not be as discrete as you'd like. You might have to be creative with the package disposal, so no one at work will see a discarded pouch and discover you're on Suboxone, if that is even a concern for you. Also some patients note that the films tasted better than the tablets. On the downside, "some" patients report th...

I am living in cincinnati and I have united health care insurance and I am in desperate need of finding a suboxone doctor who either takes either united healthcare or who has affordable prices for suboxone treatment I am tired and I need help. Please if anyone can give me any insight my email is . Thank you and god bless. ## You can use the search feature at the website Suboxone.com to see if there is anyone in your area that treats with it, but the only way to discover what coverage they accept is by calling them to check. And since the medication is still very new, most prices, for both office visits and the medication itself, are not cheap in any area. Does anyone else have any ideas or advice to add?

doctors who curently prescribe and treat opiods dependency how program works and what is required for clients who are currently taking or want to get clean from the opioids in there life ## My doctor issued a letter to all his subox patients this week saying that we have to up our usual monthly urine tests, to weekly!! And that its mandatory! PLUS, that we must go to either group or private therapy on a regular basis.Out of our own pockets of course. Is this true? He tried doing this a while back too. Same letter basically. It stated that if you don't comply, then you are kicked out of the program. It was never enforced & eventually never heard another word about it, until now that is. I have NEVER failed a single urine test & follow his instructions to the letter. I know it...

Suboxone was intended to be used to help with withdrawal in a detox setting. The fact that doctors are giving an addict who abuses highly addictive illegal opiates, a legal drug that is highly addictive, often abused just complicates the entire problem. So many addicts call it a miracle drug..really? I think thats taking it a bit too far!! No drug should be labeled that way. Whether your taking a medication for drug abuse or allergies no drug is good for you.Suboxone has many side effects. People on suboxone are so quick to say that it saved their lifes...could it be cause your living an illusion becasue your on the drug. It sounds ridiculus to me that addicts proclaim that an addictive drug saved their life to help battle their drug of choice. recovery comes with hard work, working thro...

I just recently went through the worst withdrawals from taking Subs too early. I only took a quarter of an 8mg sub after not snorting any H or OC for about 16 hours. I felt bad that's why I took the sub but it only made it 10 times worse. I had leg cramps, my mind was racing out of control, it was terrible. After abut 4 or 5 hours I took another quarter and it still just got worse with no relief. I felt relief only while it was under my tongue. It seemed like once it was all the way dissolved it kicked in the withdrawals worse. I ended up giving in and blowing some H. I'm trying to get on the subs so I'm going to give it a try again. I'm so worried about it being so bad again though. I don't know how much longer I have to wait and how much worse it has to be. I can&#...

My mom did a urine drug test on me at home. I currently take suboxone to get off of prescription pain killers which I have been addicted to for 12 years. I am also taking klonopin for anxiety but nothing else. The test showed that I was positive for opiates which I assumed I would be because of the suboxone, but I was also positive for methamphetamine's which I have never done in my lifetime. What would of caused that to be a positive result? ## Yes, the Buprenorphine in the Suboxone can cause a false positive for Oxycodone, which is probably why the opiates showed up. However, neither it nor the Klonopin are known to cause false positives for Methamphetamine. Have you taken anything else? Even over the counter products? ## I too am subscribed suboxone. Urinalysis every appointment....

I finally hit the ceiling and have no use, no cravings, nothing, just do not want to be a prisoner no longer to suboxone. I'm tapering down from 8 my a day. I plan on doing a 4-5 month taper, 2 my every 2 weeks, till i hit one, then. 50, then skipping days. Besides excercise, a healty diet, plus vitamin b, I'm looking into the natural supplement SAM-e or HTP 5. I do not want antidepressants, but need something to boost the serotonin levels & dopehine. Anyone ever taper to 0mg successfully? Anyone suggest any natural supplements or knowledge on how to deal w/ the low energy and depression? I'm already been feeling very depressed afyers years and no idea what a pure hell I was getting into!!! *Anyone tapering, we should start a taper thread UPDATE together! * ## Although I...

I have been on Suboxone for a couple of months now and it seriously has been a lifesaver. The issue is I split my prescription with my boyfriend because he doesn't have insurance and wants to get clean too. With some recent stress and lack of self control, we took more than we should have and fell short at the end of the month, thus causing us to relapse. I have been taking Morphine and Hydrocodones for the last week. The doctor that I go to drug tests me at each visit. I am afraid that if I test positive, he will discharge me. I have a quarter of a Suboxone tab. If I take this, will it mask the other drugs? Please help! ## if the others are out of your system a half of sub will make you test positive for it.

I just started taking suboxone to get off roxycodone, of which I was taking up to 10, 30mg pills a day, all day long. I am also on Adderral and Xanax. I felt really good for the first couple of weeks, but now I feel really anxious, and find myself constantly needing my xanax. However, since I'm only prescribed 3x 1mgs a day I am going to run out too soon. I am prescribed 2x8mg Suboxone a day. I was wondering is there a certain time schedule I should take it, b/c when I take a half of one before I leave work at 5, I can barely eat, don't want to talk to anyone, and severely anxious and nervous. I was wondering if I need to not take as much suboxone? I have read on here that sometimes, less is more. Has anyone ever been in this situation, and could offer some advise for what worke...

HOW LONG WILL SUBOXONE STAY IN YOUR SYSTEM. I HAVE A URINE DRUG TEST COMING UP AT MY PAIN MEDICATION DOCTORS. I PLAN ON START TAKING MY PRESCRIBED PAIN MEDS 6 DAYS PRIOR TO GOING. ALO I WILL STOP THE SUBOXONE 7 DAYS PRIOR TO GOING.V ## The Buprenorphine in Suboxone is usually detectable for approximately 4 to 5 days, after taking it in a standard urine test. However, there is no way to give a precise time frame, because individuating factors are always going to come into play, such as your own metabolism, overall health, activity levels and etc. How did the test turn out? ## I failed mine 2weeks after I took tiny piece of suboxone DISMISSED from pain clinic! ! Went to another one and i was tested every time 4 X's so I know pain Drs test for it ,and I'm not worried I want to foll...

How long does Suboxone stay in your system after your last dose? ## Sub has a half life of 36 hours. So if you are taking 4mgs per day and stop taking it, one half or 2mgs will still be present in your system 36 hours later. Then 1mg 36 hours after that, and 1/2mg 36 hours after that, and so forth and son on. ## Most narcotics can be detected in a urine test for 48 to 72 hours, after you last take it, but this can vary, depending on how long you have been taking it and how high of an amount. It will clear out faster for people who haven't been taking it regularly at high doses, than it will for those who have been using large amounts on a regular basis. If you have a prescription and are taking it under a doctor's supervision, all you have to do is inform them of this when you g...

I have very bad anxeity and panic attacks. i am currently on suboxone and want to ask my doc for a xanex scrip. benzos are really the only thing that help me.. I just am worried that my doc would not want to give me benzos for obvious reasons.. ## Your best bet, actually, is to see a general practitioner, or a mental health specialist. It is unlikely that a doctor who specializes in treating with Suboxone is going to be willing to prescribe anything else. Have you considered consulting a different doctor for this?

Saboxone by far is the best and safest treatment for opiate addiction I have ever tried. Why on earth, is it the hardest treatment to get on? Why cant you get help from the government or insurance to use it? Most opiate addicts I know, when they are knee deep in addiction aren't trying to use to get high, they are trying to use to stay straight so they can work, and live. Why is it more expensive than using Heroin Oxy`s or any other opiate? Why not make the treatment and cure the easier road to go down, rather than the addiction? ## The reason it is so hard to get into a Sub treatment program right now, is because it requires special study and training to use it, so a doctor that wishes to provide has to be willing to take these special classes and devote significant time and resour...

Hey guys. i just took like 1mg of suboxone (monday) and i have a urine test on thursday. i know that they will test me for buprenofrin. is there any chance it will get out in 3 days? if you got personal experiences of this, please tell me. ## Like most other narcotics, the Buprenorphine in Suboxone is usually detectable for approximately 4 to 5 days, after last dosing. There is, however, no precise time frame, because individuating factors are always going to play a role, such as your overall health, metabolism, activity levels and fluid intake. what can I do to get a 26 year old girl off of roxie cotton? and percosets ? ## To start, you are already on the right track to helping her, just by posting on here. There are many users within this forum that have the personal experience of tapering off these medications. Usually for drugs like this the safest way to stop taking them is to tapper off them, if possible. Some medications can be taken in fractions (actually cut into pieces) and these smaller pieces can be taken in place of the regular dose for a period of several weeks until the body is no longer dependent upon them. I think the thread below can provide some helpful advice on withdrawing from these medications (suboxone, norco, and methadone are also mentioned as being helpful in the case of very serious addicts): If this...

I was hoping someone has experience with the following or there is some expert that knows what he/she is talking about that can drop some advice. Thanks in advance. How long does suboxone stay in your system and how long do the effects of the drug hinder intake of other pain meds? Also, how long does suboxone show up in a drug test? This stuff is WAY TOO expensive and not covered by my insurance. My doc has me on suboxone since dbl knee replacements and low back pain. He said he would put me back on 5/500 or 10/500mg hydrocodone (what I had after surgery) once I was clean of suboxone. I have been taking suboxone for only about 2 weeks (over $215!!!!)but the script has refills for up to 3 months and I guess he doesnt want me filling both. Not that I would do that since it cost me $5 for ...
