Suboxone 8mg/2mg And Roxicodone 30's (Page 6) (Top voted first)

I am currently taking Roxicodone 30's each day. I have suboxone 8mg/2mg to help get off of these. I know the suboxones are the best pill made to help with the withdrawals but I'm wondering if for the firsrt 3 to 5 days when I'm having trouble sleeping and feeling clammy, if i should take like half of a Roxicodone 30 (which i have done in the past), as it helps me to sleep and takes away the clammy feeling? Any other suggestions that you may have? Thanks to anyone answering this for me.

When I had experienced this I Was on pretty much the exact dose about. THEN got on Suboxone. The first time I took it I never felt that hi ever again....but after a few doses u get no feeling and it doesn't help pain. I.M A pain patient, directions on Suboxone say NOT FOR USE FOR PAIN PATIENT'S. So the first week I couldn't wait to take my next dose. After 2 months cold turkey just stopped it. I have never been so constipated . I drank adequate wAter, big bowls of shredded wheats. THAT WAS scary it was like 7 days one time with no bowel movement. Went to Er got it resolved. So just some pros and cons of Suboxone it does work for cravings, I had no withdrawal on Suboxone. SUBOXONE IS BEST TAKEN 2_-3 days after your last opiate dosing. Good luck it does work..

Hey Momma, please call me Grammy. It sounds as though you've been there and done that, and that it is a journey. Well, I've just considered the possibility of beginning to walk the road you're on as well. Please send me an email? Sounds as though you've got lots of stories to tell, and I'd appreciate it if you'd be willing to share them with me. I have many questions, and feel very alone and unable to talk about this mess I've gotten myself into to anyone.

I really need some questions answered, but i don't know who you are or what you really have to offer. I'm not shooting my d's but i sniff them to get a faster affect because i get the pain in my thighs that wakes me up due to disc condition that is bad n i can't afford the surgery. i'm perscribed three 8 mg dilada but find myself doing more some days due to pain or just needing them. guess i'm hooked. i did coke for about 20 yrs n then started smopking the s*** and it brought me to the bottom but i was able to kick that cold turkey, havn't touched it since 1998. :). I haqvbe a chance to try Suboxone 8/2mg but will it help my pain while getting me offf the opiads??? Scared and only have the one's with the blocker so i may be in a bad way for a while if they don't work. i got these from someone who was in a program for 8 mo. now he's offfing them ??? what am i to think.

Could you please give me your email so I can talk to u. I just found out my fiancé has been going to a methadone clinic for 6mths now and has been lying to me about it. We have talked about him going to a saboxone clinic but I have now idea what he needs to do. This is all new to me but I am trying to be supportive but really need some input on everything.

Suboxon saved my life!!!!! If i never put my self in detox i would be doing herion by now. i was addicted to 14 roxy 30s a day. i have nothing wrong with me. no pain just likd getting high.. i take 2 8mg subs a day one in 7the am anoter later. Been on them 52for 2 years. it doesn't help i feel like I'm trading drugs sometimes.. but I'm not. i wouldn't have my job or my children hhusband and s*** together if i was still in pill.. i know its a horrible drug and it is just as addicting.but when ur use to it it doesnt make u high any more.. so it just makea ya normal..

I'm tired and just want to stop Taking Roxicet cause its took my life away and for a few years but a year or so on higher ones and just recently I got sick from WD on roxi within a day,,so someone gave me sub cause I was so sick and got 3 small. Kids 2,5&8 and I just need to be here for them,,,I am tired but I had to take a few of the 2mg./0.05 @ time to stop and @ first I didn't and was still geeking for pills so I use as it said up to 3 and felt better.. this is day 5 from Wednesday and feel better but headaches and low energy but not as depressed but I'm also a very panicky person with anxiety attacks and I need a Dr here asap to help me and help me come down correctly plz only serious knowledge ppl help,,,no scary stuff plz..I am alone with my kids and this may be my only help,,plz help with kindness...

just starting what? the suboxon?? I think it is the best thing you can do for yourself it works great for me, I rarely have cravings.and im never sick anymore b/c I cant get my next 6 30s.. but im a mother now and I decided to do this for myself and my family.... at first you feel a little buzz off them, but that soon dies out rather fast.. but they will help keep you clean, A lot of people say oh you are just exchanging 1 drug for something else. ignore that b/c this is the best thing you could do for your self, I take 2 A day 1 when I wake up and the next around 5 or 6.. thank god for suboxone it saved me

DON'T U EVER FEEL BAD FOR DOING SOMETHING THAT HELPS YOU KEEP UR KIDS AND HUSBAND AND FAMILY TOGETHER. there is nothing at all wrong with that. Yes pain mgmt.,gives them to pain patients. don't be deceived, again I said earlier it is a mind thing, if you think they don't help with pain, then they won't. If you think ur trading drugs and u have ur mind set on it, then yes u will be becuz ur mind will play tricks on you, also the devil wants u to believe ur doing wrong. Your not. Just be okay and raise your kids. Everything will work out. I promise just keep it up girl. Ill be praying....Jonie

tough to say.. My addiction to oxys was really bad I was taking about 8 30s a day for a long time. ive been on subs for 2 years. I did try to wean my self off them last year. I was really sick,, some drs say you should only stay on subs for 5 to 6 days tops just to detox. which is what I should of done. but after my detox the first shot I had at some 30s I did them so I decided to stay on sub maintaince . it works miracles and I don't think about getting high and it helps me taking care of my family... so as my drs says. there is a big difference between addicted and dependent ...

yeah I would I go to a dr and I get 60 a month... 2 a day.. if you don't get a script for them you are just going to be going back and forth with subs and oxy.. so its best to keep your self on the subs. or just take them to detox yourself and be done with the pills period. only the strongest can do that. hope your one of them b/c im certainly not!

sandrea go to a suboxone dr.... they will put you on the right dose! do it asap. I have 2 small kids too. I know awful you feel I have been there. trust me going to a suboxone dr is the light at the end of the tunnel it will help you get out of bed and not think about drugs. I personally would stay on the subs until you feel you can manage with out them. I have been on them for 2 years it has changed my life, Ive said it a million times on here. b/c I cant even imangine being on pills anymore.. I don't even think about it anymore. is there anyway you can let maybe a grandmother or aunt watch your kids for 5 days so you can go to detox? detox will give you subs and then wean you off them before you go home, hopefully you can find a dr soon b/c there is usually a long waiting list... and what state do you live in???

Wow this seems like an incredible and supportive community!
I am a 25/female. I was addicted to opiates for about a yr, from a prescription i got for a back injury while skiing. Doc suggested i go on suboxone but never really gave me much info, or a 'stop-by' date. Like a trusting patient i just stayed on suboxone, he prescribed 16mg a day for a month, and since i only really needed 2mg a day the strips lasted me forever. I am now addicted to suboxone! I tried to stop but i cant, I start to feel all panicky my heart beats faster, i get very edgy and frustrated. Thats just when i miss ONE dose. If i try to miss 2 it gets worse and i know if i miss more it will be unbearable. I'm not strong enough to go cold turkey and just stop from one day to another. I was also never addicted to opiates for pleasure, so i dont need to be on suboxone and the doctor shouldve given me a plan of action not just 16mg a day (which is a huge amount, i've never taken more than 2mg a day!)
Basically, i'm asking for help, has anyone gone through suboxone detox, do any of you have any tips or info on how to get off, how to taper slowly so there's no crazy withdrawals? Please help. Thank u so much and i wish each and every one of u good luck on ur journeys!!

Advice needed for the past year I have been on any type of pain killer I can get my hands on mostly lortab or Percocet and Vicodin it started with one prescription from the dentist and at this point I'm up to 15 a day. I am sick of living like this my husband is always wondering why we don't have any money when we both have very good jobs. I have never tried any other drug in my life and have never taken any other type of pain killer other than the ones named above. I have been down this road one to many times get clean then fall off I'm so done with this I am not going to allow this to tear my family apart and the bad thing is my husband has no clue what's going on lately he has made comments that he knows I'm buying something but he doesn't know what. Long story short I took my last one 2 days ago yesterday I got a suboxone 8mg/2mg I have cut it into 6 pieces took one piece yesterday when I started to feel sick and started to feel better this morning when I woke up I took another piece for today because I was feeling bad. What scares me is that I am prescribed to take Xanax everyday (witch I have never abused) prob because it nt my drug of choice but I find when I take a half of one with the suboxone it helps to take the edge off. I do not feel like I am getting any type of high and that is a good thing. My plan is to take one small piece everyday for 6 days just to get though the withdrawls and then be done with it because I am not trying to become dependent on anything else. My question is does the way I am going about taking it sound correct? I alo want to know by taking the suboxone in the small amount that I am will I have withdrawls after stopping taking it? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I will say getting off any drug is horrible. unfortunatly you will expierence withdrawl even from 2. Mg. my best advice is talk with your dr and tell him you are ready to get off the subs and you want a plan.. don't rush do it when your ready and will havr a week to deal with thr detox a slow taper will help a ton.. make sure you drink lots of fluids and get anti diariah pills. lots of sleep and some good movies. it will be a couple weeks of being depressed or bummed. but i believe when ur ready you won't be afraid . the worst is the first week. if you get threw that ur good. now the next couple weeks you will be tired but think of it as a good step forward and in the right direction! Yea the opiate Percocet will get u high even if u take the suboxone, I was on all of that, now it does block it for a whole but I use to take the sub right before work and then after work 12 hours later I took some pain killers and got the buzz as usual, I don't know why u people say it blocks it completely bc it doesn't. I'm not recommending it i would rather everyone stay clean bc I know how easy it is to go back, but I'm not your daddy.. I've quit 4 times and for some dumb ass reason I go back and mostly bc of boredom!!! Well now I've hit the f'n bottom so ill see most of you here soon if U don't get ur s*** together, trust me "even you" it will happen to!!! It's hard I know it and the govt made our pills even more expensive and a pain to get and y does everyone do heroin?? Oh wait thank you USA

I've been a drug counselor specializing in suboxone maintenance for the past year. mind u i have only neen clean for 2 full years and some odd months but Helpi.g others helped me stay clean esp since i have a family and a small child.. i remember waking up with no pills and thinking how am i ever gpnna get threw the day and take care of my family. i did some online research just like this and that's when i decided subs were for me. there is also methadone which is easier to get on because there is no waiting lists like sub drs. very few drs prescribe it andthe ones that do already have their 100 pqtients so the sooner u call the sooner u can get started. Pills are expensive and so is suboxone but most state and private health insurance companys pay for the script and most for the drs visits. the dr i see does not take health insurance so i pay 70 a month but my scripts are free.. good luck girl

google this: "Here to Help" you can get Subs for free. your Dr. can only have 3 patients in the program at a time. This is real and I'm off pills now due to this. It's a great help.
