Can this muscle relaxer be taken to help with anxiety? ## Yes, as it has some similar properties as anti anxiety medicine. However Soma can also cause anxiety too! ## @Laura, I just did some research and read that Soma (Carisoprodol) can be used for anxiety like Eddy mentioned, however, it's not often prescribed for that because since it's a muscle relaxer it can actually have strong sedation effects. Also, Soma is only meant to be used in the short-term, often less than three weeks. There is a natural muscle relaxer known as valerian root that I've tried for anxiety but it also works for insomnia, and well, it definitely made me calm but also very very sleepy just like the Soma might do. SM WHITE ROUND PILL WITH LETTERS BHI HORIZONTALLY AND UNDER THE H VERTICALLY ARE OM ## is a soma and the roun white pill with 832/bc20 on it the same meication? ## The tablet with the BHI OM marking is actually an over the counter supplement used to help with urinary issues, it's called Uri-Control and is manufactured by Boots Healthcare International, hence the BHI. However, I've been unable to find a list of the specific ingredients. The tablet with the 832 BC 20 marking is also not Soma, it contains 20mgs of Baclofen, which is a more mild muscle relaxant. soma compound which side is soma white or lavender ## For anyone still seeking an identification on this, the oblong, white tablet with the W on one side and 724 on the other contains 250mgs of Divalproex Sodium. So, it is not a Soma Compound tablet, nor is it any type of muscle relaxant. This medication is actually used to treat the manic episodes of bipolar disorder and epilepsy. As to tablets that may have one color on one side and a different one on the other, (this one does not!) you cannot separate out one drug constituent by color, that's not how it works. Have been told that Soma, or Meprobromate, is over-the-counter in Europe, and used mainly for anti-seizure med. Any info? ## I believe there was some confusion involved with this post. Soma contains the active ingredient Carisoprodol, it's a muscle relaxant. And Meprobamate is a minor tranquilizer and anti-anxiety medication. Out of my 45 year employment history, I have never had to take a drug screening before, so I know nothing about them. In the plain ol' urine drug screening, what are they looking for: pot, meth, crack, or are they testing more broadly for Soma, Oxycontin or Halcyon? Does it depend on the job as to what level of testing they do? My daughter had a urine drug test when she interviewed for a new job and she is on Adderal and Vyvance. The medication just called Soma, or its generics Carisoprodol do not contain Codeine, or any other narcotic. Carisoprodol is the only active ingredient in them. Thus, though it is a muscle relaxant that can help with muscle spasms that cause pain, it will not help with other types of pain, such as nerve pain or surgical pain as a narcotic would. It is solely used for muscle pain and spasms. I know these are new soma generic called rising pharmaceuticals but are they as effective as say wallace? I got sun pharm. Generic last 2 times, from local walgreens all these, and they are trash, please don't ever accept these sun brand, they have only 3 nos. On one side, can't recall but demand different one or you will be miserable. NOW can someone give me some insight on the one I got today from rising". Does m15 m blue pills cause you to have energy. Or is it like a soma just relaxes you? ## The pill you are describing is identified as Morphine sulfate extended release 15 mg. Interestingly enough, some people do get lots of energy from taking Morphine. But there are others who become more prone to its side effects, which can bring about a sense of tiredness. You may want to give it a trial run to see how well you respond to it.
