I've been taking 60 mg temazapam for years for sleep. Ran out 4 days ago and refill in 4 days. Am I in any danger? I know doctor won't go for emergency refill as I had one 2 months ago when I lost bottle (I really did). Will any OTC meds help? Thanks ## Hello, Rolf! How are you doing? Have you experienced any issues? Stopping this medication abruptly can create the risk of seizures, so it you need to be very careful not to run out, as warned by the FDA. Other withdrawal effects may possible include nausea, dizziness, chills, diarrhea, anxiety, and insomnia. ## No real issues other that it took a few more glasses of wine and 100 mg benadryl to get to sleep. Face feels a little flushed and tender, oddly. I didn't think 60 mg/ day was that high of an amount anyway. I've got...

Has anyone had success? Did the 10 mg work or was 20 mg necessary? Were there any bad effects? Did it work first night or required build-up? ## Hello, zzzzhunt! How are you? While it has been approved, it was only done so last August, so it's really not been available for a long time, yet and it seems not many people have tried it. The main issue with its approval is that the FDA considers it to be addictive and has only approved it at dosage levels that the company found to be ineffective. Thus, they don't even know if it's going to work for or help anyone, at this time. They do, however, off a free 10 day trial for new patients. Its typical side effects may possibly include daytime sleepiness, acting strangely, sleep walking or other sleep actions. Has anyone taken this, y...

hypnotic sedative for insomnia, brand name is doriden. ## Does anyone know where one could obtain glutethimide or it's brand name Doriden (CIBA Company)? Am in Canada where Doriden was discontinued in late 1980s and I was told Doriden discontinuation was international. Perhaps there is now a generic form containing active ingredient glutethimide available now as I would assume CIBA trademark rights would have expired. As the benzodiazapine replacement meds for Doriden are more addictive and dangerous (especially if mixed with alcohol or other drugs) it sure would be great to be able to go back to Doriden or glutethimide which was more effective and safer. A shame that the public was switched over to benzodiazipines (i.e. lorazapam, diazapam) when a better/safer product was available...

Bausch health, as the sole supplier of this 80 year old insomnia CURE, (and 2 year testament of my success 1st hand with 200mgs a night) and the legions of agonizing deaths of terminal ill patients that have chosen physician assisted suicide have now have been suffering AGONIZING end of life treatments in the wake of this shortage. These agonizing deaths are on your hands due to your unwillingness to manufacture Seconal. Seconal, first line treatment and painless/peaceful exit of this world w/ their loved ones from their terminal illness. My insomnia has been barely curtailed minimally with heavy benzos to have bare minimum 4 hours a night. These terminally ill patients are the ones that have been suffering the most with their substitute for Seconal, a 3 med concoction which anecdotally...

Just received my prescription of Lypin 10 that's made in India. White bar shaped pills labeled JPEE labs. They aren't actually Ambien. They might have trace Ambien in them. They gave me an almost immediate feeling of half being asleep and very active bad dreams all night. I can take a 5 mg Ambien and it makes me fall asleep immediately. I had to take 2 of these labeled 10 mg to get a restless sleep. I'm about 180 pounds. ## Yeah, I just got mine today as well - Lypin 10 (zolpidem). Wondering if you can take them sublingually? ## I received the same Rx but I haven't tried them yet. Do they work for you? Are they safe? ## Tried one last night. Worked fine. I received mine on March 3, 2017 as well. I would be interested to know if others had any issues with them but as far ...

I've been researching for 2 hours. The alleged manufacturer in India doesn't even make this product. And what they're putting in the pills will make you sick. ## @Jd, If you received these from an unlicensed pharmacy then in my opinion it's more than likely a scam product. I notice that some of the internet pharmacies based over in India make up random brand names for otherwise popular medications to maybe throw people off. Zolfed for example sounds like a knock-off name of Zoloft or Zolpidem. Unfortunately with false marketing at hand, there's no way to know for sure what these tablets contain unless you were to have the tablet analyzed by a lab. What was the name of the company you went through? And did you file a complaint with your credit/debit card institution? ...

For many years Qualitest has furnished an excellent generic version of Ambien 10 mg. I have tried various other manufacturers ---Teva, Mylan and they do not work for me. I called Qualitest (now part of Endo and Par Pharma) --- customer service on 2/24/16 and they indicated that they are getting allot of inquiries and stopped producing it in Oct 2015, due to "inability to get certain ingredients." I find this bizarre. It was a great seller. My pharmacy also indicated that there is a posting that several other generic companies are also not shipping this product other than the 2 above. ## Hello, Chuck! How are you? Yes, that is correct, most manufactures have a shortage listed with no known date of availability. Shortages, such as this that say they can't get the relevant ingr...

Hi all!! I have a 19 yr old son who needed to sleep. His friends recommended melatonin. He took 5 mgs. About an hour after he took it, he said he woke up feeling bad - - "waves" like he was on the ocean, sweating, felt like "I was dying". He has major depression and stopped taking meds about 2 yrs ago bc they were making him feel worse. I know melatonin works on serotonin levels in some way and was wondering if anyone else had experienced anything similar? He said he was restless all night but every time he woke, he felt like he'd slept for 8 hrs. Idk whether he should ever take another one!! ## That is rather odd, Melatonin supplements usually only cause drowsiness, and occasionally some mild nausea, in people that take it. It is a substance that is naturally presen...

I was taking Lunesta but had to stop because of the price. I then began taking Teva brand and now I learn they are having production problems and might not be available for 2 - 3 months. Has anyone heard of or tried Mylan? And comments? ## Hello, Bob! How are you? Have you tried it, yet? The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including next day hangover-like symptoms, headache, unusual taste in your mouth and cold-like symptoms. Can anyone that's taken the one manufactured by Mylan chime in with their experiences, please? ## I have also taken Teva for yes. They gave me the Mylan last time and I can't sleep without taking a Benedryl with it. Mylan does not work for me. I have called Walgreens, CVS, Economy Compounding and now Walmart. No luck. ## Go to a smaller pharm...

On my sleeping pills it says "Apo-Zopiclone"... Then in brackets on the prescription label it says GLA. My question is, what does APO mean...and what does GLA mean? Thank you. ## What's APO 37.5/25 on my sleep medications stand for ## In Canada, and some other countries, medications are often listed according to manufacturer, and name of the actual chemical, so in this case, the APO stands for the manufacturer Apotex. The GLA stands for the distributor, since Apotex licenses their products to several companies for dissemination across the country. The 37.5/25 is the designated dosage of the substances in the relevant medication. Zopiclone may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, sleep actions, and next day hangover-like effects. I recently changed pharmacy's. I usually take the yellow Mylan 30mg Temazepam dose which works fine. The new pharmacy's generic is from Activas. A white capsule with a logo (R with a line through it) and 077 imprinted on it. I do not get the same effect of what I am used to vs the yellow 30mg capsules. has anyone had the same issue? I also seem to have a slight withdrawal during the next day. Has anyone else switched Mfg? ## Although I don't have any personal experience with this medication, I am aware that the major differences in peoples reaction to the drug are largely due to different body chemistry and different inactive ingredients in each brand/generic. Furthermore, the FDA permits generic formulas to vary by as much as 20% from the active ingredients in brand formula...

It contains: Melatonin, Chamomile, Wild JuJube Seed Extract, Valerian Root, Hops, Scullcap, Passion Flower, Calcium and Magnesium. Where can I buy this? Most pharmacies don't carry Teva. Is there an updated Q and A, most are from 2012, it is now 2020! ## I checked around to see if there were any reported shortages from Teva but could not find anything. On the Teva website it states that their generics are available in most, but not all pharmacies. And that if a pharmacy does not carry their generic they might be able to order it from Teva for you at no extra cost. Have you tried asking your pharmacy if they are able to specifically order Teva for your next refill? You might also consider a licensed mail order pharmacy, as they may simply dispense the Teva brand. What kind are you getting now and how do they work for you?

i had some melatonin pills in a bottle someone gave me. they're white, round, and blank. but also in the bottle were smaller thick white and off white colored pills with one side blank and the other just has a line across the center of it. no clue what the pill is. my friend said she doesnt know either. very strange! anybody have any ideas?? ## Hello, Since the pills you have don't have any markings, it most likely is an OTC or foreign medication. U.S. law requires that all prescription drugs have unique letters or numbers (sometimes in addition to a logo of some kind) imprinted on the tablets or capsules so the medication can be identified by manufacturer, substance and dosage. It could also be a different form of melatonin from a different manufacturer. I've seen melatonin...
