I've been taking 60 mg temazapam for years for sleep. Ran out 4 days ago and refill in 4 days. Am I in any danger? I know doctor won't go for emergency refill as I had one 2 months ago when I lost bottle (I really did). Will any OTC meds help? Thanks ## Hello, Rolf! How are you doing? While it has been approved, it was only done so last August, so it's really not been available for a long time, yet and it seems not many people have tried it. The main issue with its approval is that the FDA considers it to be addictive and has only approved it at dosage levels that the company found to be ineffective. Thus, they don't even know if it's going to work for or help anyone, at this time. They do, however, off a free 10 day trial for new patients. hypnotic sedative for insomnia, brand name is doriden. ## Does anyone know where one could obtain glutethimide or it's brand name Doriden (CIBA Company)? Am in Canada where Doriden was discontinued in late 1980s and I was told Doriden discontinuation was international. Perhaps there is now a generic form containing active ingredient glutethimide available now as I would assume CIBA trademark rights would have expired. As the benzodiazapine replacement meds for Doriden are more addictive and dangerous (especially if mixed with alcohol or other drugs) it sure would be great to be able to go back to Doriden or glutethimide which was more effective and safer. A shame that the public was switched over to benzodiazipines (i.e. lorazapam, diazapam) when a better/safer product was available...

Just received my prescription of Lypin 10 that's made in India. White bar shaped pills labeled JPEE labs. They aren't actually Ambien. They might have trace Ambien in them. They gave me an almost immediate feeling of half being asleep and very active bad dreams all night. I can take a 5 mg Ambien and it makes me fall asleep immediately. I had to take 2 of these labeled 10 mg to get a restless sleep. I'm about 180 pounds. ## Yeah, I just got mine today as well - Lypin 10 (zolpidem). I've been researching for 2 hours. The alleged manufacturer in India doesn't even make this product. And what they're putting in the pills will make you sick. ## @Jd, If you received these from an unlicensed pharmacy then in my opinion it's more than likely a scam product. I notice that some of the internet pharmacies based over in India make up random brand names for otherwise popular medications to maybe throw people off. Zolfed for example sounds like a knock-off name of Zoloft or Zolpidem. Unfortunately with false marketing at hand, there's no way to know for sure what these tablets contain unless you were to have the tablet analyzed by a lab. For many years Qualitest has furnished an excellent generic version of Ambien 10 mg. I have tried various other manufacturers ---Teva, Mylan and they do not work for me. I called Qualitest (now part of Endo and Par Pharma) --- customer service on 2/24/16 and they indicated that they are getting allot of inquiries and stopped producing it in Oct 2015, due to "inability to get certain ingredients." I find this bizarre. It was a great seller. Hi all!! I have a 19 yr old son who needed to sleep. His friends recommended melatonin. He took 5 mgs. About an hour after he took it, he said he woke up feeling bad - - "waves" like he was on the ocean, sweating, felt like "I was dying". He has major depression and stopped taking meds about 2 yrs ago bc they were making him feel worse. I know melatonin works on serotonin levels in some way and was wondering if anyone else had experienced anything similar? He said he was restless all night but every time he woke, he felt like he'd slept for 8 hrs. I was taking Lunesta but had to stop because of the price. I then began taking Teva brand and now I learn they are having production problems and might not be available for 2 - 3 months. On my sleeping pills it says "Apo-Zopiclone"... Then in brackets on the prescription label it says GLA. My question is, what does APO mean...and what does GLA mean? I recently changed pharmacy's. I usually take the yellow Mylan 30mg Temazepam dose which works fine. The new pharmacy's generic is from Activas. A white capsule with a logo (R with a line through it) and 077 imprinted on it. I do not get the same effect of what I am used to vs the yellow 30mg capsules. has anyone had the same issue? I also seem to have a slight withdrawal during the next day. Has anyone else switched Mfg? ## Although I don't have any personal experience with this medication, I am aware that the major differences in peoples reaction to the drug are largely due to different body chemistry and different inactive ingredients in each brand/generic. I've been taking sleepasil for quite a while now and have been experiencing several possible side effects that may contributed by the drug. My major concern is what is in the drug. Yes it is BFAD approved but i cannot find its make up. Thanks. ## Sleepasil is actually a supplement claimed to help with sleep issues. It contains: Melatonin, Chamomile, Wild JuJube Seed Extract, Valerian Root, Hops, Scullcap, Passion Flower, Calcium and Magnesium. Where can I buy this? Most pharmacies don't carry Teva. Is there an updated Q and A, most are from 2012, it is now 2020! ## I checked around to see if there were any reported shortages from Teva but could not find anything. On the Teva website it states that their generics are available in most, but not all pharmacies. And that if a pharmacy does not carry their generic they might be able to order it from Teva for you at no extra cost. Have you tried asking your pharmacy if they are able to specifically order Teva for your next refill? You might also consider a licensed mail order pharmacy, as they may simply dispense the Teva brand. What kind are you getting now and how do they work for you?

It is used to treat insomnia. It is not addictive, but if you take this medication for a long period of time your body will depend on it for sleep.
