Noxidem 10mg or Dormonoct 2mg, which is stronger? ## Hello, Lynne! How are you? These are two different classes of medications, so they aren't really comparable. Noxidem contains the active ingredient Zolpidem, which is a sedative hypnotic that's used for the short-term treatment of insomnia. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, hallucinations, sleep actions and next-day hangover-like effects. However, Dormonoct, contains the active ingredient Loprazolam, which is a benzodiazepine that's used to treat insomnia. It carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Which has been recommend for you? ## Hi, I was on Noxidem but have gone over to Dormon...

I sufer insomnia. Have taken differents medicines, but after several days I find they don't work. My Dr. gave me some sample of Rozerem, but I don't anything about this medication. ## I accepted this perscription as ambien or its generic zolpidem is for short term use and was no longer effective and I had been on it for a long time. I read the ingredients in rozerem and was disturbed by "black shellac" as the 2nd to last ingredient listed, but took my first pill 30 minutes before bedtime as instructed. I woke in the middle of the night extremely nauseated and eventually returned to sleep, however upon waking in the morning, felt nauseated still. Took hours for the nausea to wear off and spent all yesterday in a sluggish state of being. Did not repeat taking the pill last...

I am 25 years old and I am taking Tryptomer 25mg from past few months but its not regular. I take it for some time period and then stop, along with some sleeping pill (forgot its name). I just want to know why Tryptomer is proscribed to a patient? I don't feel any change in me after taking this, yet my doctor advised me to take it. ## Tryptomer 25mg Tablet (Amitriptyline) is a tricyclic antidepressant. Different doses of this medicine help in treating and preventing different problems such as depression, neuropathic pain, and migraine.

sleep pill (for sure) white, round no imprint on either side. about a cm in diameter ## If there is no imprint, it will be difficult to narrow down what this tablet contains. It can be ruled out as a U.S. prescription medication, but could be any one of a large number of over the counter items, even among those claimed to help with sleep. How do you know it is a sleep aid? ## Yes, as I said before, it is a sleeping pill. I forget the name. That is why I want to know. ## not a drug, its natural. melatonin ## Quick dissolve cherry flavored to be exact on the melatonin 10 mg. See other post ## I receive Dizy-10 Tablets in blister packs with red on the back side saying 10mg Diazepam. They are in sealed blister packs, no box, They took 4 weeks to arrive (at high cost). I'm 36 year old female. I've always had insomnia since childhood. This summer it got to the point I was getting zero sleep. My doctor prescribed 3mg Lunesta every night. She said many of her patients tolerated it very well, so I should have no problem. Within the first five days, I lost my coordination and walked into furniture, making a giant bruise on my leg. I thought it was just a random accident. Then a few days later I got a staph infection in my inner thigh -- first time in my whole life. Dr put me on Keflex. Over the next week, my memory and concentration weakened. I felt like I was lost in fog. Then I got indigestion. I thought it was from the Keflex. The Keflex ended, infection gone (not without leaving a scar), and still the weird symptoms continued to escalate. My en...

There can be differences in generic medications. Under the U.S. FDA regulations, generic medications can differ from the name brand, in the amount of the active ingredient, by as much as plus or minus 20%. Additionally, generics only have to measure against the name brand and not against each other, which means that the amount of the active ingredient can differ from one generic to the next. Therefore, the news pill you received may not have as muc...

What is a round purple pill with an M and a 22 under it on one side and the other side is blank? ## What you have found is zolpidem. A prescription med under the brand name Ambien. The generic is purple with an M 22 imprinted on one side. Ambien is a sedative, also called a hypnotic. It affects chemicals in your brain that may become unbalanced and cause sleep problems (insomnia). It is used for the short-term treatment of insomnia. This medication may be habit-forming and should be used only by the person it was prescribed for. Ambien should never be shared with another person, especially someone who has a history of drug abuse or addiction. I received my prescription for zopiclone but it’s a brand I’ve never had before. The packaging says ZOPIC 7.5 and says it’s produced by Radicon Laboratories. It’s an Indian brand. Has anyone taken them? What was your experience with them? Too scared to take them but need them for insomnia and severe anxiety. The last prescription I received was also an Indian brand but different tablets with markings and they worked well. ## Not all countries, and regulatory agencies require tablets to have markings, but if you've obtained them from a legitimate source, such as a pharmacy, then it should be okay to take them, but feel free to double check with them, if you aren't sure. Zopiclone may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, next day hangove...

I received a prescription for seconal 100mg in 2006. It has not been opened and kept in the dark. What are the chances that it is still active? If it is not 100% active can you estimate it's activity? Could it be 50% active? Thank you. ## Hello, Jack! How are you? Is it in a bottle from your pharmacy, or the original factory sealed bottle? If it's in a pharmacy bottle, then that does count as being opened, since it was removed from the original container and it would have expired one year from the date of dispensing. And no, I can't even guess at the level of effectiveness that may remain, but I doubt its much, if any. It would be best to dispose of them and see your doctor for a new prescription. ## The seconal is in an official looking container from Ranbaxy Pharmaceutical...

My Dr says take Dayvigo and Ativan together while I wean off ativan. Has anybody else done this? ## Have not taken, but trying to wean off Ativan. Interested in results with Dayvigo. ## It is always best to follow your doctor's instructions in such matters. Weaning off Ativan does create a risk of your developing insomnia, as a withdrawal effect, as well as irritability, headache, and mood changes, according to FDA reports. The typical side effects of Dayvigo may include nausea, headache, fatigue, and abnormal dreaming. What process has your doctor set up with you to taper off the Ativan?

I take half of a 10 mg of Zolpidem to help me sleep. Lately I have been experiencing crawling and itching of the skin. I have been on Zolpidem for over a year under a doctors care. I can't get a straight answer from my doctor on the side effects and how do I come off of it ## Hello, Hector! How are you? No, those are not listed as known side effects of this medication and it would be very unusual to have them crop up, after you've already been taking it for a year. The common side effects usually include nausea, dizziness, diarrhea and visual disturbances. As to coming off it, as sudden withdrawal may cause some rebound effects, like severe insomnia and nervousness, so it is better to slowly taper it. The modern method usually involves starting to skip doses, such as taking it o...
