sir, i am a regular consumer of alcohol (around 300 ml a day) for the last 20 years and my age is 50. i want to give it up but i cant sleep on days i abstain from it. can i have zolpidem and alprazolam together? or what other drug will you suggest? ## If you have been consuming alcohol for that long, some withdrawal effects, such as the insomnia, are to be expected, if you suddenly stop drinking it. Zolpidem is a hypnotic used for the short-term treatment of insomnia and Alprazolam is a Benzodiazeopine, and because of the possible effects, they should not be used together, unless your doctor instructs you to do so. They can both cause depression of the central nervous system, which can result in lowered heart rate and blood pressure, as well as respiratory depression, so the two of them...

I have been taking temazepam on and off for 16 years,I was initially prescribed them for mild insomnia and to help me with travel as i have a fear of flying. The dose given to me has always been 10 mg,needless to say i needed temazepam more frequently, as time went on i had them on repeat prescription .I was getting through 20 x10mg every 5 weeks, sometimes taking 2 or three tablets in one night. My then doctor decided he was not happy with my increase and wanted me to cut down, to some degree i managed to do this(not without difficulty and huge anxiety issues) i cut down from 170x10mg to 70 tablets in one year using nytol one as a substitute . Still no sleeping aid out there like Starnoc. I either can't get to sleep till 2 am or wake up at 2 am and can't get back to sleep. Starnoc was wonderful for both these issues. Also, I don't enjoy the feeling of the medication 'taking over' my sleep, i.e. instantly tired, whereas Starnoc gently lulled me to sleep. Does anyone have any suggestions from the Canadian Market that is similar? Thanks ## Have you tried Zopiclone? It's available in Canada and is usually the preferred alternative, since Starnoc has been discontinued. ## Thanks for the info. With Starnoc, however, if you still had a good 4 hours of sleep to go, you could still take it and no hangover! Is Zoplicone the same idea, do you know? ## you can still get Starnoc in Canada through compounding pharma...

Today my Doctor suggested I try 'pot pills' for pain and to help me sleep. Does anyone know anything about these pills? I don't smoke pot. Do they help you sleep and r they good for pain? Ontario Canada ## As a personal user of cannabis for a sleep aid, I do find that the herb itself is quite beneficial for this. However I have never tried "pot pills" or "THC pills" as others refer to them. Regarding its use in pain management, my mom actually uses the plant itself for that, and she claims that it helps mask the pain to an extent (on an emotional and mental level); however if you want additional relief, I'd suggest growing the plant yourself and juicing the entirety of it. There are many testimonies on the web, mentioning how juicing the leaves, buds, sta...
