Hi! Good Day! Im Drix 20 Yrs. Old. This is my first time na magtetake ng pills. Di rin naman ako nagpapacheck up so, i dont know if it is recommended for me. But im just curious because all of my classmates/friends were taking this pill and they recommend me to use the althea pills just because it cleans our acne's, and clearing our pimples. If you dont mind, i have a lot of pimples in my face and i also have a scars or pimple marks in it. Ang gusto ko lang naman ay kuminis yung mukha ko and bumalik sa puti yung kulay ko without going to the dermas. So, im about to ask sana if pede ko ba siyang icontinue sa pag gamit after ng 1 month. Kasi nagtetake na ko ngayon ng pills and malapit na akong mag 1 month, gusto ko sanang malaman kung may iba pa bang side effects this pill to the men?...

My doctor prescribed me Curam 625mg for a toe infection and i was wondering if it would help with the pimples i have on my face and back? ## It is possible, but it depends on what specifically is causing the acne. This is an antibiotic, so it will only help with infections of bacterial origin. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. Are you on any other medications? ## nope i am not. i'm not very sure about the cause of my acne/pimples either, i've had it for a couple of years now it upsets me.

I've taken Accutane twice, both for 5 months at a time. The first time everything went good, but after 3 months post cycle my acne came back so I hopped back on it. About 1 month post second cycle of Accutane the skin on on the area below my lip and above my chin, and my smile creases are constantly a deep red. It's not dryness and it feels like it's below the skin. No bumps at all. My dermatologist prescribed a foamy steroid that people use for rosacea but it did nothing at all. I'm a year after post Accutane and the problem persists. Any other people have this issue? Help. ## I get Rosacea and what you describe sounds just like it. The worst thing for Rosacea is a Steroid or cortisone. It worsens. You need a Rosacea Gel (kind of antibiotic) and a course of antibiotics....

I have acne and I took the pill, then I felt sick and I could see my veins in my body. I'm kinda scared. I don't know what this pill is and what the purpose of it is. Please get back to me with some information on it. ## This tablet is manufactured by the Lannett Company and they list it as contain 100mgs of Doxycycline, which is an antibiotic. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. Was this prescribed for you? Are you on any other medications?

I was just wondering if jojoba oil reverses the effects of accutane? I have been using it on my skin ever since I started the medication and my skin hasn't been that dry. I'm almost done with my first month. I don't know if this is a good or bad sign, since my skin has to be dry in order for the meds to work.

how long can we expect depressed behavior in our daughter Accutane stopped 2 months ago ## It is hard to say for some it has been a permanent fixture. In fact studies have shown it shrinks the frontal cortex. What has your daughter tried, diet, meditation, exercise etc? Also, have you taken your daughter to see a doctor? ## I'm sorry but 20yrs later and I'm still waiting for my son and daughters depression to get better . debridement ointment ## I have a large wound on my left ankle. It started out as pressure ulcer and I was using hydrocortizone for the itching. I did not know that the cortizone would make my skin there very tender and at one point when I was washing a large patch of skin came off, so now I have a small patch of a wound. I am using Staphaseptic for the wound and a natural cream for the itching. It is healing slowly and there is some dead skin that needs to be removed. Is there an over the counter debraidment ointment to help get rid of the dead skin?? Thank, Bob ## I am 75 yrs old. I have Sakram troma. I have had 3 surgaries so far because of recurrence. Hi there. I am a 27 year old female living in Durban. I have a conditiion that had started from the age of 17. I have been to numerous doctors but they cant seem to diagnose my condition. I searched the net and came to the conclusion that I may have folliculitus. These look like acne pimples but on the scalp. It is very painful, and there seems to be no medication for it.please inform me if you have tried something and it has relieved you from this. I have read about terrasil,if it does work where can a South African purchase it from. ## Hi Lindy, Based on my research, Folliculitis usually responds well to various treatment options. And from what I've read, hot, moist compresses may help drain the affected follicles. According to nih.gov, treatment can include: Antibiotics applied to...

Hi I have pimples and black scars I already have eaten so many medicines some one suggest me can I use clobetasol salicylic acid ointment ## Yes, it is often used to help treat acne, but you should only use it if your doctor has instructed you to do so, because in some instances the Clobetasol can actually cause acne, or make it worse. The NIH lists its other typical side effects as possibly including skin redness, irritation, dryness, and flaking. Is there anything else I can help with?

My Dr prescribed tretinoin cream 0.025% for wrinkles and I also have acetonido de flucinolona. Are they the same product? The one from Mexico said 10 mg. ## No, they are not, the Tretinoin can treat acne and may prevent some wrinkles, while the other is an antifungal cream. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including skin redness, dryness, irritation, and flaking. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hi, I'm a 38 year old female who just started taking 20mg of accutane 3 days ago. I have very persistent, moderate back acne. I have a few questions that I forgot to ask my dermatologist: what is the best lotion/moisturizer that I should use when I start having dry skin? What kind of soap should i use, as i use dial right now? Also, I have read that aquafor is a life/lip saver...is this Otc or prescription? And a question for the ladies: did you use liquid foundation while your skin was dry and flakey? If so, what kind did you use? I am just trying to prepare myself for the upcoming months. I am scared (bc of all of the horror stories I've read) but also very hopeful for the end result of CLEAR skin! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! ## I took two courses of ...

I've finished my 22month course of 10mg/day. My doctor gave me the least dose to reduce side effects. Side effects were normal, dry skin joint pain etc. Recently I've been getting flushed very easily, several times per day on my cheeks and ears. I've finished the course 3wks ago and see improvement in terms of dryness on my lips and skin but the flushes seem to be getting worse. I've read it may take 2/3 months for accutane to get out of the body. How many more weeks till these flushes go as they make my face want to blow up with heat and its effecting me. Thanks!!

My dogs have had bad itchy red spots with hair loss. They have been going crazy. After all I tried I put some clobetasol on my dogs and everything has gone away after all. Is it safe for them if used properly. ## Hi Junebug, Glad to hear that your dogs are doing better. From what I've researched online, veterinarians do commonly prescribe clobetasol to dogs. So my opinion is that they should be fine. However I'd probably be a little reluctant to administer it myself until receiving specific dosing instructions directly from a vet, who can ideally make the most informed decision when it comes to various treatment options that are available (some perhaps safer than others in terms of possible side effects). Hope this helps! ## HOW MUCH DO YOU PUT ON THEM AT A TIMEOF THE CLOBETASOL...

Hi there, I had a snowboard accident this weekend and hurt my coccyx. Pulmison was prescribed for 5 days, 20mg, 2 in the morning for 3 days and 1 in the morning for 2 days. I don't like corisone and don't want to have more health problems after this. I'm very healthy and fit. My concern is the weight gain and acne and rash as i dont have any of these problems. My question is how likely is it for me to experience these after taking this for 5 days? Or is there a better alternative? Please advise as I'm supposed to start this morning. Thank you. ## Hello, Madre! How are you? It is highly unlikely, those are usually effects that occur with long-term use. The typical short-term use side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia...

Hi I have been on accutane 2 times. 9 months at the age of 16 and 10 months at the age of 18. I have had many problems over the last 10 years like depression, insomnia, nocturia, stomach issues, eye strain and on. Is it possible this drug did some damage? ## Yes, the NIH does report that Accutane has been known to cause some long term ill health effects, including the issues you've mentioned, plus reproductive issues for women and fetal abnormalities, if taken while a woman is pregnant. Are you on any other medications? Have you had these checked out by your doctor?
