How are you? The FDA lists Betamox as containing Amoxicillin, it is an antibiotic that's used to treat bacteria infections. It can be used to treat some STIs, but not all, so you shouldn't take it, unless your doctor has told you it is the correct one to help. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Not sure if I'm having a reaction to the prescriptions. I'm having anxiety could hardly sleep last night. Any suggestions? ## Hello, Nancy! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem you've had. It's difficult to determine which medication may have caused the palpitations, that's a possible side effect of most that are on the market, as listed by the FDA. However, if the EKG didn't show any reason to worry and your doct...

Acyclovir 200 mg. 2x a day. Can the side effect,"change in the amount of urine" in older people, apply to INCREASE in the amount of urine?(male, age 90) undergoing chemo. ## Hello, Ann! How are you? No, that's not a common side effect of Acyclovir, the FDA lists the most common ones as including nausea, dizziness, diarrhea and headache. However, most times, when someone is prescribed this medication, they are told to drink a lot of water, or are given a lot of water by their care givers, which could explain the change in urine volume. In rare cases, this medication has caused kidney crystals, which could lead to kidney failure, so most people are told to take it with lot of water, to help prevent this from occurring. Is there anything else I can help with?
I think I may have syphilis due to a rash on my upper body nothing on palms or feet. would this medication help? ## Hello, Gary! How are you? I'm sorry about the rash. That doesn't meet the symptoms listed for Syphilis by the NIH. The first state is open sores and the second stage is the rash that also covers your palms and the soles of your feet. Penicillin is used to treat syphilis, since it is an antibiotic that's been shown to be effective against it. According to the FDA, it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. However, since this doesn't sound like syphilis, you really need to see your doctor to get a proper diagnosis and discover what the proper treatment would be. It might just be an allergic rash. My doctor prescribed me valacyclovir.I took the full dose (2 pills in AM, 2 pills in PM of same day.) That was yesterday. My mouth sore is bigger! I have amoxtrk 875=125 as well as ayclovir 800mg (6 pills) Can I take either of these two prescriptions considering that I took valacyclovr yesterday? I really need this mouth sore to disappear asap!!! ## Hello, Jill! How are you doing? Both Valacyclovir and Acyclovir are only effective against the herpes simplex virus that causes cold sores and, once you've already gotten a cold sore, that initial dose you took on the first day is enough. Taking more by adding the Acyclovir will not do anything, nor will it help it to heal up any faster. Basically, once you have the cold sore, you have the cold sore and the only thing that's going to...

I found a pill it peach round has STD on one side 223 on the other side... please help ## Hi mel, Unfortunately I'm not finding any specific details on a pill with this marking (although some have come close). And I'm assuming that's because this pill is not from the US, where all prescriptions are listed within online databases so they can be identified by substance, dosage, and manufacturer. Do you happen to have any information at all on where you found it, what store it may have been bought from, or even any inklings you have from recent/past prescriptions? If so, that could potentially make for a good lead as to what type of drug it might be. I'll look forward to hearing back from you!
Would like to know what kind of pill this is. ## Based on my research, I've only come across one pill that actually closely resembles your description of the pill. The one I found is a 400mg Acyclovir tablet, used for treating herpes simplex. It's a white oblong-shaped tablet with a large capital "A" that has a partial vertical line (like this "/") going through the side of it... and right next to the letter A is the following set of numbers "5306"; no markings on the backside. For verification, the manufacturer is reported to be Apotex and the tablet itself carries a National Drug Code of 60505-5306. Does this sound like it could be a possible match?
