In May of 2007, I Had a mental break, became parinoid and manic, I went to local mental health office, and ASKED for help, because I felt like I was losing my mind.
They put me on 300mg og seroquel a day, 1st pill knocked me out for 36 hrs, when I woke up, I realized that I HAD WENT through a COLOR change, tree needles looked burnt orange(fir tree), and the grass...it gradually faded, back to ALMOST normal, but dulled colors remained for the next 14 months,(only on it for 81/2 months) during this period I GAINED 85 pds-..Had 2 EKG's done(because of chest pain)and am NOW Diabetic..If I live another 15 yrs I'll be surprised,am only 47..As my Immune system is affected by diabetes, I get sick easily, I've had to take anti-biotic's more in the last 3 yrs, then I have my whole life..I take the side effect list seriously of any medicen prescribed for me NOW..
If I HAD KNOWN of the side effects Of seroquel at the time, I WOULD'NT HAVE TAKEN IT.!!!! But was only told of side effects AFTER I had been taking it.
As a poor person I COULD NOT afford to buy seroquel from a pharmacy(it cost $400.00) a month, It was given to me FREE OF CHARGE, from mental health office..AstroZenaca sent it DIRECTLY to nurse in a LARGE pill bottle(hundreds of pills in it) and she put them in a small pill bottle,30 pills in it, with my name on IT..no perscription was given to me for this medicen by a DR.. !!!!!!....TRUST no one but YOURSELF , to check a medications side effect list, BEFORE taking it, or consult with YOUR pharmacist, IT MAY SAVE YOUR LIFE..

I am very sorry about what you've been through.
It is difficult, at any time, to know how any medication will affect anyone that uses it, but you have definitely given very wise and sage advice, everyone should always read over all the medication information, before taking anything.

I was given a pill that YES, has lawsuits of its own right now, so dr. gave me new 1 but I haven't started it yet AM CONTROLLING DIABETES WITH CINNIMON,AND APPLE VINIGER, TWICE DAILY ( a tbsp of boh )..! It really WORKS , blood sugar was 280, and sometimes on bad days over 400. NOW it averaging 120 to 124,. daily no spikes UP, like before on pill... I know sounds crazy, but IT WORKS and is an altnate with out SIDE EFFECTS..NONE.. Feeling so much more myself...

We monitered my diabetes alot more closely them my normal 3 times a day, and after 2 or 3 months, THE RESULTS STUNNED US BOTH...so Be careful, and dont go AGAINST Dr's orders if he or she has any qualms about this, Insulin users ESPECIALLY , try it WITH your medications at first if in doubt, I doubt EITHER cinnimon or viniger will affect meds normal affectiveness.. yea and seroquel killed my mother off through the years. and now i know for sure it was that bc i work with residents fo rthe past 20 years and 3 i know have died after starting taking it, they started getting tire dand not being able to walk and all 3 died in their sleep.

It’s unbelievable that doctors prescribe this dangerous medication for anxiety and insomnia when there are medications made for those issues.
Never accept an antipsychotic unless you’re delusional and psychotic.
