Reumisone contains:

It supposedly contains an extraordinarily high dose of dexamethasone, a potent corticosteroid. The usual dosage is 0.75 to 9 mg a day, at most 30 mg a day for a few days for a severe condition like multiple sclerosis. 4 milligrams a day for one week might be prescribed for pinched nerves in the neck or back or a severe asthma attack. 375 mg is an unheard of dose, more than 10 times the biggest dose we ever use in the United States. I thought perhaps it should read micrograms, not milligrams, but I looked it up on line and it says milligrams. At that dose, you would get diabetes, stomach ulcers, insomnia, and probably severe psychiatric problems. If you took it for more than a week or two it would make your immune system weak, and if you take if for more than a few weeks and then suddenly stop taking it, you can die from low blood pressure and inability to fight infections. I suspect the amount of dexamethasone actually in the pill, if any, is exaggerated or labeled incorrectly.

Monofenilbutazona is called phenylbutazone in this country and has been taken off the market for human use because it can cause severe, often fatal damage to the bone marrow, where blood cells are produced. It is still available here but only for horses. It is a "Non Steroidal Antiinflammatory Drug" or NSAID, like ibuprofen (Advil or Motrin) or naproxen (Aleve). All NSAIDs can cause bleeding ulcers, heart problems and kidney damage if used for a long time and we try hard not to use them for more than a few days in people over 65 years old, even if they are healthy.

Prescribing an NSAID like phenylbutazone along with a strong corticosteroid would be considered malpractice in this country. They both reduce inflammation, so one OR the other might be helpful, but together the risks of dangerous side effects, especially bleeding stomach ulcers, would be extremely high.

Hidroxido Aluminio is Aluminum Hydroxide and it is an antacid, like Mylanta, Maalox or Gaviscon. One might think it would help reduce the chance of getting an ulcer from an NSAID, but it is not strong enough to really do anything.

NO! Dangerous. Use 440 mg Naproxen (2 Aleve) twice a day or 800 mg ibuprofen (Advil) three times a day

If reumisone package is labeled correctly it has severe risk of causing ulcers, diabetes, damaging your immune system, and causing depression, mania or psychosis. There are much safer choices.
