Please answer this as soon as possible. Can ranitidine cause a false positive in a blood test? I know it can in a urine test, my wife was tested positive in a urine test for amphetamines while taking ranitidine, but when her prescription ran out, it didnt. When she got it refilled, at her next appointment, she tested positive, and she had taken it on the drive up there. She's scheduled to see a social worker soon and we're sort of freaking out that we're going to lose our kids over it, so I suggested that she ask to have her urine and her blood tested at the same time, on the same day, to see if one shows up positive and the other doesn't. ## What she needs to have done is a full, regular lab test and not the instant tests that most doctor's offices, or other testing...

i am 66 yrs .i have pain around my shoulder near armpit transmitting to left side of chest .my doctor says it is muscular pain and advised signoflam bd and ratidine for two weeks .my querry is if it is safe to take for 2 weeks or sos basis ## The Ranitidine is a proton pump inhibitor, which helps reduce the amount of acid produced by the stomach. I am assuming your doctor gave you this, to help prevent the ingredients in the Signoflam from irritating your stomach. Because it contains the active ingredients Aceclofenac, Serratiopeptidase and Paracetamol (Acetaminophen). Along with stomach irritation, you may also experience: nausea, drowsiness and headache. The Ranitidine should be taken regularly, to help protect your stomach, only the Signoflam should be taken on an as needed basis and...

I use Pepcid/Famotidine and to get them on the $4 list, which is a lot cheaper than the over the counter price for the amount I take, I had to wait for my pharmacy to order them in for me. So, he gave me several of these to use in the meantime. i have been prescibed 1g flucloxacillin X 4 daily, i am getting bad heartburn after taking. can i take ranitadine to relieve this? ## I didn't find any listed interactions or problems, between taking them together, but you should check with your doctor or pharmacist to be certain. In general, something such as Ranitidine is okay to use, but you should avoid the use of products that contain Calcium as the active ingredient, such as Tums, because they can interfere with the absorption of certain medications. needed to know what color ranitidine pills should be i feel like i am getting a bladder or urine infection ## Do you have a pill ID I can look up for you (markings on the pill)? U.S. law requires that all prescription drugs have a unique imprint on the tablets or capsules so the medication can be identified by manufacturer, substance and dosage. However, the way a pill looks is entirely up to the whit and whim of the company making it, so there are many, many pills on the market, both over the counter and prescription that could look like ranitidine. If you could provide the imprint from the tablet itself, then I can look it up for you and provide you with more direct information.
