None of us are doctors, but what we experiencing is real and you cannot tell us that it would have happed if we had or had not used Prolia. I have a friend that has
confirmed while working for a cancer doctor that 90% of patients came in with
Basal Cell Carcinoma and had to have it removed because of Prolia. Not only that
but I have never had Acid Reflux, itching, rashes , coughing stiff joints and
several other problems because of Prolia. I never had these things until I went on Prolia, so don't tell me that we are playing doctor, We are stating facts that are real and depressing and are caused by Prolia. I talked to the company that makes the
pill and they confirmed that these are possibly real and can happen. Why don't you
just admit, none of the professionals want to admit that Prolia is not what it is supposed to be and never will be.

Ever so glad to know you only had 'some' side effects. Also happy to know that you are smart enough to not do it again. Why have you not been contributing if you know some of the answers to our questions or did you only have very minor side effects? You may want to note Mickey, that MD's come to this very site to read our posts so they can be more able to help their patients. That's a waste of time?? Apparently, not to Docs that want to know what we write about. Stay well~Pood

Micky - Please don't mistaken! I think I may be the latest victim here asking for solution to fight for my side effects.
DM - i could find The Invis. Minerls - Mag. article (not sure I can write the exact book name) from google and have read part of it. Same author as the book you recommended. It is a good book. Now I understand my tightness chest and spram muscle in my abodmen could be due to excess of calcium extraction. Magnesium could reduce the cramps. I Hope that this solution really can solve my problem. BIG THANKS TO YOU! I learnt from the book that Excess calciun could cause muscle spram in heart and could cause Angina and thus could lead to heart attack.

RM~you posed an interesting question as to when does Prolia leave. Science says never. Everything living on planet Earth is carbon based as we are the only planet that has all the four necessary ingredients. In month 1, 1/6th of the Prolia leaves, in month two another 1/6 of what is remaining leaves ad nausea. That means there will always be a molecule or two of Prolia left as there is never an end to a half life. Now Amgen states that in the beginning of month 6 Prolia goes 'poof' but it does not mean at all that the side effects go with it. That is why they add on 5 more months as that should pretty well get one injection from bothering us too much. Since we are humans, we are not all the same. Some people skate through Prolia and some others die according to Amgen's clinical trial. What really and truly saved me was taking Tizanidine in my sleeping meds. It's a muscle relaxant that people with MS or MD take. That combined with large amounts of calcium with Vitamin D and magnesium when I got a muscle problem was the magic bullet that kept those problems away from me. I don't know if a regular Doc would Rx sufficient Tiz to help. I got mine from a Psychiatrist as it has a lovely side effect of SLEEP! That was also combined with benzos and a high dose of anti-depressants even though I have not been diagnosed with any depression. They all just add to the wonderful word 'sleep' and zero muscle problems. I hope this helps answer your questions. I could only hope that the same would help your Mother. I did start getting better in month 5 as Amgen said I would. At the 6th month mark I started in on my very needed surgeries one of which was caused by Prolia -- the cataract. The hip replacement is healing wonderfully so my world is looking good again. I just know I will never take any more Prolia no matter what. I had a broken back and a hip broken in 4 places that were so much less than what Prolia gave me. 6 weeks in bed vs 6 months of being horribly ill. I lost 65 pounds with Prolia and am desperately trying to gain more weight, just skin and bones. I hope they let this one in w/o deleting it as it could help people here. Be well~Pood

Excuse me Mickey~who do you think you are here? We all all victims of Prolia with a common cause of sharing information and doing our best to get through all the side effects of Prolia which are more than numerous. Our MDs do not help us at all. We do net research in an attempt to mitigate the damage Prolia has done or is doing to us. If you are a MD, we welcome your opinions. If you survived Prolia without all the horrid side effects we congratulate you. You are a rare person, indeed. If you have zero to share, we cordially invite you to leave. Be well~Pood

RM - Your mom took epsom salt by mouth or just a footbath (place your feet into the water dissolved the Epsom salt)? The liquid mag and oil you bought - is it the liquid one from innotech? Is this brand and iconic form save.
DM - yesterday, In the morning, I went for the ECG and cardiodiogram test. my body feels good and no tightness condition at that time. Late afternoon, the tightness chest and muscle cramp at upper abdominal happened again. So I took the liquid iconic mag 30ml liquid separately, plus cal + vita d liquid, feels a bit release the tightness. At night I took a APO-backlofen hoping it could help to release the muscle. This morning I felt better when I woke up, only a little bit tightness at the stomach. Went to see the doctor just now, again she said I should take 1200 cal and 1000iu - 1500 vita d, no need magnesium even I told her that calcium need magnesium to balance the muscle. Anyway, I would still preper to take the iconic magnesium separately to find out the cramp will be gone or not.
Thank you very much for your kindness for sharing your mom situation and answering my questions here. Also thanks for JoyceB and Wise Up Janie and Poodle's sharing recently.

Canadian, remeber mag is also good for acid reflux! All your symptoms come explained in the book Magnesium Miracle! Aim for 600mg of mag (they recommend). Remag iconic mag is suggested as well as mag oil (which could sting a little at first) but bithe get fully absorbed, it is harder to absorb mag from pills. Also antiacids tend to burn of mag.

Is it possible that you are 61 and would have had some of these effects regardless? You seem to be the one playing "doctor" to all these women. Everyone seems to be turning to you for advice and you are giving it. What I would like to know is what are your credentials to be giving so much advice to Everyone?

Micky - because the doctor did not provide care for our side effects, we came here not for complaining, INSTEAD, we are looking for hopes, sharing info, and solutions for our critical side effects. Canadian. About vit D and calcium, they sre both worthless (and can cause discomforts) without magnesium. If you sre taking like my mom, 500mg calcium and 2000 ui vitd, you could start to supplement thit mag and it should make it better with time since vit d and calcium bothe get dissolved or do their thing when there is mag. I strongly suggest the book! I even made mymon take the RBC mag test. We will have the results on monday and we will know for sure how defficient she is and monitor her improvements. So far she tiok epsom salts and it eases her cndition! We have to wait a little more but her tingling hand stiopoed tingling. Now she bought the liquid mag and lotion. Keep us posted! You eill all get better!

Micky , I came here looking for help my doctor could not give me after Prolia injection ? I do have other things to do and not just writing to read my post . Prolia almost killed me !!! Maybe it's because I only have one functioning kidney , but Doctor assured me it was safe for me to take . Just because you were one of the lucky ones does not mean you should be so critical of us . Count your blessings , lucky you !

DM - any idea or suggestions on how to pick up the right calcium and mag and vitamin D in order to avoid the terrible muscle cramp? Ddrop vitamin D3 is better than the Vitamin D3 tablet? Calcium and mag - should it be 1:1, or 2:1? Due to the powerful of Prolia, should it be better to the tablet than the liquid? Liquid is absorbed faster than the Prolia depleting the mag. More? Right? Sorry, I hope tou understand what I am asking. The doctor would tell you so much about my side effects.

I am in the middle of 3rd month. My muscle cramps are getting more serious. I was diagnosised stomach reflux in which I don't think I really have the real heartburn. May be the discomforted was caused my the Prolia. I went to have an ultra sound for my heart this morning due to tightness chest.

DM - thank you very much for your kindness sharing and related to I may be lacking of mag. As per the symthoms that I am having now your advice should be right. This evening the tightness of my muscle inside comes again so I immediately took the liquid iconic mag. Hoping this will help my muscle cramp. Didn't Your mother experienced this cramp before and where did you know the liquid iconic magnesium. Is this very good for muscle cramps? I hope I can survive tonight? I think most of the doctor didn't know When taking the calcium we should take the mag also.

Canadian! You are lacking of magnesium. All your side effects (actually most of all of the side effects from this chat) are the exact same symptoms of magnesium unbalance. Its advised to never take calcium and vit d without mag or cramps and other disorders will appear. Please read the magnesium miracle. I am reading it and all makes sense. Prolia and such drugs advice on taking too much calcium and other drugs that just deplete mag out of the body. Causing numbness, cramps, insomnia, heartburn!!! More medicine, you'll feel other things. Supplement with RegMag (liquid iconic mag) or mag oil (on skin). Oil can tingle and burn a little at first so dilute it with distilled water. We have all been victims of medicines and calcium excess and unbalance.

I only took a Vit D Supplement for about 3-6 months. Now that Vit D level is good.
My calcium level was high after I came off of Prolia. Now is has leveled out
to normal.

I have been reading everyones post for quit some time now. I honestly think a lot of you just like to complain. I had one shot, by a professional, I had some side effects, never had another shot and the side effects went away. I think most of you who are writing continuously would have had these symptoms weather you had the shot or not.
