I had shoulder surgery yesterday and was prescribed both, but was too out of it to get clarification. It's Saturday so I can't call. Should I take one at night like morphine and the Hydro daytime? So I did my drug tests for the VA and they said that I have three negative test and there is no trace of medication in my system so they stopped prescribing me medication. I take oxycodone/acetaminophen 5/325 once every 12 hours. I took the test 14 hours or so after my dose in the morning. How could this come back negative multiple times over the past 6 months? Can pre-workouts and the like cause false negative results on a urine test? ## There are actually various things that could cause this, including the quality of the test they are using. hi i have been on these patches for 4 months now but i still have pain ## Have you consulted your doctor? Do you have any medications for breakthrough pain? Usually, for proper pain management, something long acting like the Fentanyl is used and then some that works immediately, or a regular release medication, is also given for those times the pain is too much for the long acting medication to completely control. ## I am on 25mcgs of fentynal patches every 72 hours, plus 10/325 pecocet 1 every 4-6 hours for BT pain.The Percocet doesn't do much, and is very similar to my previous prescription of Norco and the patch isn't strong enough and runs out after 48 hours. If I took 1 dilaudid 4mg I.v. on a Friday can I pass a lab test that tests for metabolites on Monday? Haven't been using, so my system was clean. 6'1" 180 lbs. And need to know if 72 hours is long enough for that type of urine test.thanks ## I know this is a late post but wanted to inform you 72 hours is the usual time frame for opiates to pass out of ur system but with a drug test that's pushing it. Your height/weight give you an advantage assuming that's due to a high metabolism which will allow u to process toxins faster. Best way to pass a drug test is to drink lost of fluids the day of ur test and pee a 3-5 times before ur test. Drink a fluid with color so ur urine isn't clear which will be a red flag. I was prescribed oxys and did a ua for po in his office. My test results came back positive for opiates and negative for oxycodone. How is that possible, due to molecular similarities of the two drugs with a simple ua test? I have been on kadian for 2 yrs now. 150mg twice a day, plus percocet10/325 for breakthrough. works pretty well. Now I have to switch to morphine sulfate er TABLETS. I will be taking 160 mgs twice per day. Have not taken yet so I don't know if they will work as good as the kadian. I would like to know if aspirin is in oxycodone. My husband has back pain and I have oxycodone/acetaminophen5-325 I use for arthritic pain. He is allergic to aspirin. this is in reply to all who are complaining to the new oxycontin 80 OP. I have been takeing them for 2 years now. My last scrip is still the OC. I pray they are pulled before we get them here. There are other meds we all can go to such as the fent. Patch which comes in a lolly pop too. I bet they will be pulled & back to the old ones before the year is out ## Pharmacies are allowed to continue to dispense the original product, until their stocks runs out, then all will only be able to get the new Oxycontin OP. There have, however, been many complaints that they do not work as well and cause odd side effects, even though they are supposed to work the same and have the same side effects. If the date on the bottle is 2007 are they still good? I found these in a medicine cabinet. My boyfriend had a tooth pulled and not sure if they are ok to use. ## This medication doesn't become toxic, once expired, but it does start to lose efficacy, so it will not work as well as it did, when new and, due to the Acetaminophen in it, it is not safe to double up, thus it would be best to dispose of them and have him obtain a new prescription from his doctor or dentist. However, both the original Oxycontin and the new Oxycontin OP are round, light green tablets. They both have the number 80 on one side, then the original has OC on the opposite and the new product has OP on the opposite side. As to a generic, there is no generic of the Oxycontin available. I've been on 10/325 for a year now. It was working very good at first. I took an oxycodone 30mg on Sunday 5/17 and had to take a drug test on Friday 5/22. Will my urine come back positive or will it be out of my system?
