They are normally expelled as waste, even though the medication itself is actually released and used. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation, they also carry the risk of being habit forming. The main question is, did they work for you to relieve pain?

I am prescribed norco 10/325 and it makes me sick to my stomach and itch. Although it does help with my pain i have to take phenergan for nausea anytime i take one and benadryl for the itching. my husband has to have surgery in 5 days he was told to stop taking hydrocodone immediately his pain isnt tolerable with only tylenol why cant he have the hydrocodone nowxl ## Hi lucy, According the webpage linked below, the reason why one has to discontinue Hydrocodone well in advance of surgery, is because the medication will prolong bleeding times. Ref:becomehealthynow.com/popups/drugs2_bh.htm Although I do wonder why Tylenol is considered to be safe during this time, since it seems to have blood thinning effects as well. Can anyone else find details on this? ## The reason why docs do this is to lower your tolerance so that the pain meds will be more effective to reduce pain after surgery. Many long term users of pain meds build a tolerance and then need a stronger pain reliever foll...

How are you? This tablet is manufactured by Purdue Pharma and they list it as being a 40mg Hysingla ER tablet, it is a time released formulation of Hydrocodone, so it lacks the Acetaminophen that Vicodin contains and is not immediately released. Is there anything else I can help with?
Please help me find a dr who prescribes hydrocodone. I can't find one who still follows the hypocratic oath of (first do no harm) The very day I and everyone in chronic pain with X-rays and MRI are put in harms way. Don't they realize that pain, unrelenting, 24/7 pain can take the will to live away. To have no quality of life, is to have no life at all. ## I completely understand and agree with everything you said, as I've been suffering with chronic pain for many, many years, and I receive no relief from the pain meds that I've been prescribed, except for sleepiness for a short time. Every other month or so I'm scheduled for some type of MRI, CT or x-ray. These tests very, very seldom show anything different. I have degenerative arthritis in practically every bone/j...

If you are, then most doctors will see that as drug seeking behavior and will react by not prescribing anything. If you've take...
I have these small white round pills with what I believe to be a T on one side and 50 on the other. I was told they are Fiorcet (or generic), but I cannot find them anywhere on the Internet. Does anyone know if they are Fiorcet? ## Anyone? Any info would be helpful. ## I have the same thing. Mine came vacuumed packed. No information nada. I am a cancer patient and this amount scares me. I have never heard of taking three every 4 hrs. I have taken 2 before after my lymph node removal but never 3. Is this really safe? ## Hi Desiree, I can certainly understand your concern about taking too much Acetaminophen. 325mgs x 3 = 975mgs and then multiply that by 6 times daily (if taken every 4 hours) and you get 5850mgs of Acetaminophen - aka - a very toxic blow to your liver. Prior to 2016, the maximum daily dose of Acetaminophen was marked as high as 4000mgs... As of now, the new maximum was brought down even further to 3000mgs, to ensure liver health isn't compromised. If I were you I would not take nearly as much as was recommended; but I would encourage you to talk with the doctor about the idea of taking regular Oxycodone...
Hi, I've been on 30mg of oxycodone a day_-20 mg on waking and 2 sep. doses 5 mg through day. I have a severe neuropathic/nerve pain and an upregulated central nervous system which includes akathisia. The oxycodone had been a life saver. It also stopped the terrible depression and terror I had been feeling since a bad medication reaction brought on this whole syndrome. One more 5 mg a day would have been really needed, but at least I had started to feel I could survive and life was starting to improve. I was really staring to enjoy living again much of the time. Long story, govt. steps in, no more oxycodone. Saw lovely pain specialist, and he's put me on oxycontin 30 mg morning, 15 mg night. This was 6 days ago. Each time I've taken oxycontin, instead of the unagitating, untw...

Oxycontin is just a slow release version of hydrocodone. The primary metabolites of hydrocodone include but are not limited too norhydrocodone and oxymorphone and their subsequent metabolites.
I'm trying to find out if hydrocodone 5/325 is the same thing as percocet? ## Hello, Donny! How are you? No, Percocet contains Oxycodone and Acetaminophen. So they are both opiates, but different.
