I have taken 5 doses so far of amoxicillin/clavulanate (2/day) for a bacterial infection (lymphadenopathy, submandivular -Primary). I have a small crack in a tooth that is now hurting. I am prescribed norco 10/325 and it makes me sick to my stomach and itch. Although it does help with my pain i have to take phenergan for nausea anytime i take one and benadryl for the itching. Are there any meds that would help with my pain but not make me nauseous or itch? ## Those are possible side effects of all opiate pain medications. The only thing you can really do is try various ones, as approved by your doctor, to see if you find one that doesn't cause you such issues. Have you ever taken Percocet? Please help me find a dr who prescribes hydrocodone. I can't find one who still follows the hypocratic oath of (first do no harm) The very day I and everyone in chronic pain with X-rays and MRI are put in harms way. Don't they realize that pain, unrelenting, 24/7 pain can take the will to live away. I am a cancer patient and this amount scares me. I have never heard of taking three every 4 hrs. I have taken 2 before after my lymph node removal but never 3. Is this really safe? ## Hi Desiree, I can certainly understand your concern about taking too much Acetaminophen. 325mgs x 3 = 975mgs and then multiply that by 6 times daily (if taken every 4 hours) and you get 5850mgs of Acetaminophen - aka - a very toxic blow to your liver. Prior to 2016, the maximum daily dose of Acetaminophen was marked as high as 4000mgs... As of now, the new maximum was brought down even further to 3000mgs, to ensure liver health isn't compromised. If I were you I would not take nearly as much as was recommended; but I would encourage you to talk with the doctor about the idea of taking regular Oxycodone...

Hi, I've been on 30mg of oxycodone a day_-20 mg on waking and 2 sep. doses 5 mg through day. I have a severe neuropathic/nerve pain and an upregulated central nervous system which includes akathisia. The oxycodone had been a life saver. It also stopped the terrible depression and terror I had been feeling since a bad medication reaction brought on this whole syndrome. One more 5 mg a day would have been really needed, but at least I had started to feel I could survive and life was starting to improve. I was really staring to enjoy living again much of the time. Will oxymorphone be detected in a urine test if you are prescribed oxycontin and hydrocodone? ## Yes it will depending on the type of test run.
