has anyone been on a pain pump and been weaned? i am over medicated and cant get a new medication provider anywhere within a 200 mile range because i already have a pain pump implanted. my current p.m. provider is saying side effects from pain pump med being stopped is "impossible" i say b.s. i was on 3.6 mg per day of Dilaudid in Sept of 2012 and .36 in my PA dose up to 4 times a day. in January the dr increased me to 6.6 in simple continuous and .66 in the PA up to 6 doses a day for break through pain. this was looked at by another dr who said it was an 83% increase! does anyone know if that is accurate? and the dr said it was also 83% increase of my PA as all doses were activated. on march 5 i was dropped from 6.6 to 6 in simple continuous and then 1.66 to 1.6! that was hard ...

Hi my story is on the same wave length as far as Pain Meds go. I was so disgusted when it was time to get my Meds that l would literally think about dealing with the pain and weening myself off of all my Meds. I went through all sorts of scenarios, but the best part was after getting my Meds from the same pharmacy after 4-5 times, they would still look at me like l just tore off their arm and stuck it in my mouth or l had 3 heads. Well what l decided to do WAS STOP taking all tangible drugs! (anything l could hold in my hand) l approached my rehab doc and discussed what my options were. I am prescribed to take 6 10mg Percocet a day and haven't taken in a while, trying 2 come off, but now my Dr wants a drug test for the first time in years. How many do I have 2 take and for how long? I was given these in a clinic in Vancouver B.C. They looked like es Vic.but no writing at all.just a line on one side nothing on the other.extremely hard 2 break in half,& they were light pink inside.terrible taste. ## Hi Ana, While it may be true that different manufacturers have quality control issues, I don't think there should be any reason to believe that they're counterfeit, if you were given these by a doctor/pharmacist at a clinic. Did they inform you that this was Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen or what is it that led you to assume it was? From an outside perspective, this could literally be anything if there are no markings to identify it by. However I've never ever heard of licensed pharmacies dispensing fake pills. I weigh 104 pounds and I have a very high metabolism. I'm on probation. I have chronic back and knee pain and so I take percocet with tylonol in it every once in awhile. Lately I've been hurting even worse and so yesterday I had about 30 mg of percocet in me and today (Tuesday) I took 20mg. I'm expecting a urine test on thursday. Is there any way I can pass it? And no, I'm not a pill head, I don't take them to get high, I take them for my pain. Will somebody please help me? I need to sleep. I've been having problems sleeping. I am having back surgery in a few days and cannot take blood thinners. Can I take Tylenol PM? ## No, it is not a blood thinner, the manufacturer lists it as containing Acetaminophen and Diphenhydramine. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and drowsiness. I just got my refill today and they are not working as well as my previous prescription. ## Hi Yaya, My research from the manufacturer depicts a white oval tablet marked with 2172 to be identified as a generic Hydrocodone Bitartrate 5mg + Acetaminophen 325mg pill. For verification, it carries a National Drug Code of 0591-2172 and is reportedly a product of Actavis Pharmaceuticals that from what I could gather, seems like a newer generic tablet since information about it is relatively sparse on the internet. My doctor currently has me on 15 mgs of morphine sulfate and is NOT going to prescribe oxycodone... Isn't this stronger? Have had 3 back surgeries since August... I can't stand up for more than 15 minutes.... Isn't there anything more I can do? I constantly end up with a tropical viral infection in my one eye only. Please advise what I can use to clear it and how I can prevent getting it again? Also, are there any tests that one can have done to get to the root of the problem? I had a cataract eye op about four months ago and I am 68. I am in pretty good health and not on any drugs or heavy medication. I only take vitamins and health drinks when I feel I need an extra boost. Had a hip fracture, took hydrocodone and norco for pain from 5/7 to 5/16, took last 325 mg of hydrocodone on Monday 5/17. Is it ok to have a cocktail tonight (Friday 5/20)? I have been taking the Pink one for over seven yrs, for breakthrough pain from an injured neck which has been rebuilt from C-4 - C7. Can anyone tell me IF these are the same or is one stronger or different from the other? I have tried the white knock-off 7.5's in the past and got very sick from them.
