Should a 12mcg/hr Fentanyl patch last longer than 6-7 hrs? I'm on a patch and it doesn't seem to work. ## Yes, they usually last about 72 hours, according to FDA reports, though some people with very severe pain change them every 48 hours. The NIH warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. How long have you been using it? Are you on any other medications?

I've noticed the 10mg k56 and the 15mg a214 effect me differently at the same dose (1.5 ks or 1 a) I know generics are supposed to be equivalent but we all know that's just not what's been happening (mallinkrodt generic Norco Percocet and oxycodone all are not better than Tylenol and their dilaudid is not the same as other brands either. But I was wondering in people's experience and opinion what kind of generic oxycodone provide the most relief. (3 car accidents, 3 surgeries) ## 10mgs and 15mgs are not the same dosage. One is higher than the other, so they will not work the same. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. The Norco, Percocet, and...

Most places send off the test to see levels and for false positives and you'll be busted when they do this. ## Do they for look hydrocodone in hair samples. or just the other drugs. ## No they won't. Oxy is an opiate and hydro's are not. ## No! Oxy is an opiate and hydro's are not and they absolutely show up different on drug tests. ## Oxycodone metabolite is different than a natural opiate. I have been taking Tramadol since Monday . I took five 50 mg pills since Tuesday and had an allergic reaction to them - all of the symptoms. How long will I suffer from the reaction? ## Hello, Linda! How are you doing? I'm sorry about what happened. What symptoms did you experience? It might take a week or so, before things start to ease up and you feel better. You should speak to your prescriber about it, to make sure it's listed in your medical records and not prescribed for you, again. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## Hello! my boyfriend has took a half of subsolv 5.7 for about a week or so now. Orange, oval shaped with inscription L143 ## Found this pill please let me know what it is its orange oval and has L 143 written on it ## I had the same situation, what does this pill? ## It's likely Ibuprofen with pseudoephedrine, a generic version of Advil Cold & Sinus. Someone should confirm this though, I'm only 99% certain. ## My mom had these in an aspirin bottle and gave me a round, light pink, L143... what is it? She said she wasn't sure.

My husband took 30 mg of oxycodone. Is that the same as a oxycodone 5-325mg or will it come out different in a urine test? Will that be a problem for his pain management? ## Hi I'm wondering if it was the same or not. What was the outcome? ## Oxycodone 30s and oxycodone 5 325 test the same. Either test as opiate or oxycodone on a more detailed test. Just stronger milagram without the cut in it. ## No and yes. Yes percocet and oxycodone are the same thing. Exact same thing!!!! Not sure name brand "Percocet" exists anymore but oxycodone is today's percocet. No on the milligram comparison. A 30mg is 30mg. When you see 5/325, the 1st number is the mg of oxycodone. 2nd number is 325mg of Acetaminophen (tylenol). These are facts!!! Been on the stuff for over 20yrs. I have a ba...

I am awaiting surgery for spondylolisthesis and taking either oxycodone or hydrocodone for the pain as needed (no more than 1-2 a day, and usually in the evening). Both of these medications leave me with a headache. Are there any other medications to help alleviate the pain, while not causing a headache? Thank you. ## Hello, Roger! How are you? A headache can be a normal side effect of opiate medications, I always get a horrible one from Dilaudid. The FDA warns that they have the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I'm prescribed OxyContin 20mg every 8 hours for pain. I'm having severe edema in my legs, knees, and feet. Is this a common side effect? Also, could it cause me kidney problems, since it's also causing edema? I'm starting to notice it seems my kidneys aren't working the same. Some pain in urinary tract, as well as I noticed 2 days ago a minute amount of blood after urinating. ## It is hard to be sure, while it is possible, according to FDA reports, there are also other conditions that could cause these symptoms, including urinary tract infections, and kidney stones. Are you on any other medications? Have you ever had a UTI, or kidney stones? Have you consulted your doctor? Has there been any change?

What does "po q." mean and what does "prn" mean on my prescription? Rx Norco 5/325 #30- 1 po q. 12 hrs prn ## Hello, Jo Jo! How are you? PO Q stands for per orally every, so it is per orally every 12 hours as needed. Some places may also list it as per oral route, every 12 hours, as needed, according the NIH listings. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. It has 44 on top and 148 on the bottom, with a line through it. It's round and white with nothing on the other side. Is it Percocet or Tylenol? ## All tablets with the 44 and 3 additional numbers are over the counter products, this one is manufactured by Teva Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 500mgs of Acetaminophen, which is a generic for Tylenol. (NDC 0182-1457) The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, and stomach irritation.

My Dr. has increased my Vicodin prescription from 5mg to 10mg. I filled the 5mg about 2 weeks ago. In Illinois, will my pharmacy fill the 10mg prescription, or will I have to wait for the 30 day mark? ## In most cases, they should fill the new one, but it is actually up to your pharmacy, it really depends on their concern about you doubling up on the Acetaminophen by taking 2 of them. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Have you been able to get it filled, yet?

I had brain surgery 3 mos. ago. Was almost off the oxycodone when I developed a bone infection in my skull. Went on very high dose. Came out of the hospital with a PICC line and on 20 mg ir oxycodone 6 x a day. Down to 5mg 6 x a day but now I am having a very hard time reducing anymore. Can I go down by half and not have any wd symptoms? Or should I come down slower. ## It might be best to taper slower, your doctor should be able to help you set up a proper schedule. Are you taking the regular release, or the time released formulation? The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.

On 4/12/17, I received my monthly script of Oxycodone from Walgreens, from Mfg. Actavis as Oxycodone/Acetaminophen 10-325MG TB. The medication did not dull my pain as usual, but continued to use and began to feel very ill, vomiting and having diarrhea, ending up in the hospital for four days, during which I lost all my strength and needed Physical Therapy for three months and I am still having to use a walker. There was never a diagnosis of the cause of my hospitalization, but now I know that after I had not used the medication for a period of three months and now needed pain relief again, that after ll days of use, I was experiencing the same thing that had put me in the hospital in the first place, the Actavis Oxycodone! There is a problem with Actavis and they should be investigated....

Both contain Oxycodone as the active ingredient, so they are equivalent. I took a Robaxin, Gabapentin and an Oxycodone together and I just wanted to know if that was safe? ## According to FDA warnings, taking all 3 of them together could cause increased depression of the central nervous system, which could result in increased insomnia, dizziness, and drowsiness. Taking too much could result in coma, and possible death. How are you feeling? Did you experience any problems?
