I just refilled my monthly meds for 15 mg oxycodone hcl. Been on this medication since 2002. I'm a kidney patient and cannot take aspirin, acetaminophen, ibuprofen, or muscle relaxers due to very low kidney function. This new white oblong tablet is scored on one side with initials R H and other side says "15". These are not working for my pain. Nor do I know if they contain any other ingredient that I'm not supposed to take. Please let me know why these are not working. Taking 2 at a time and still not helping. Do what I had to do in a similar situation and toss it down the toilet. If its been wet and it has a time-release coating, you might even die by taking it and forcing your kidneys & liver to metabolize it too quickly into your system. *Especially* if it's an opiate drug, as they can depress your' respiratory system and render you (quite literally) breathless, since your' body has no capacity to breathe when you're in such a drug-induced and/or possible comatose state and you will typically asphyxiate to death while unconscious, when such type of accidentally unintentional overdose occurs. My wife has fibromyalgia and is in a significant amount of pain every day. She has been on a 100mg fentanyl patch for years. Then she chose to reduce it to a 50mg patch. She does not want to be on this patch any longer. She quit cold turkey. She is on day 4 without a patch and I just want everyone to know that my wife did it! My wife is going through hell right now but she is fighting and she is doing it! ## All opiates are an adventure, in my opinion, and quite often aren't worth the little bit of help with pain that they provide, but not everyone will agree with me. I am the patient of a pain management physician because there is nothing else that can be done for my back other thantry to manage my pain. I have had 19 back surgeries, including rods, broken back and rods on right side. My last surgery was the insertion of two morphine pain pumps, which caused my body to reject the plastic or some component thereof. They also inserted two dual-lead dorsal column stimulators, and even though all four of these pumps worked successfully, my body also rejected come component in the stimulators as well. I have sciatic nerve damage as well as degenerating discs among some other issues. I went two weeks without working because of being stubborn and not getting checked. After 4 doctors i finally found one that knew whatbhe was talking about. No i didnt diagnose myself either. Seemed no matter what one doctor would do nothing would help. After a few visits i changed doctors. As soon as i told my current doctor what was going on he fidnt even hesitate. Looked at me and told me what was wrong then started ordering xrays and tests. I'm trying to wean myself off the Fentanyl patch. I went from 75 micro-gms to 50 now I'm on 25. Having a problem and not sure it is related to the decrease in the med. It's been 20 days on the 25 micro-gm and I'm going crazy. I need to keep rocking, moving in any way b/c my body is very restless. Is this a symptom of withdrawal and what do I do? I took about 40 mgs of Oxycodone between Saturday and Sunday. Will I test clean for my drug test on Thursday evening? ## I would think you should be fine since Oxycodone is generally out of the average persons system for a urine test in roughly 3-4 days (based on a number of sources I've read). If in fact you have a quick metabolism and drink lots of water, cranberry juice, and eat plenty of fruits I am confident that you won't test positive; but there's always that small chance. The odds are greatly in your favor if you keep eating heathy and stay active daily, especially since you only took one or two (based on what you mentioned). I take oxycodone 5 mg for back pain. I got the new K18 tablets and I read on another forum that you cant dissolve these pills. I have swallowing issues and have always chewed them. It's confusing because there is a score on the pills so I always thought that meant you could break them in half. My pain doctor prescribed OxyContin (Oxycodone ER) 30mg for pelvic pain. However, I can't seem to find them in the Atlanta, GA surrounding area. I've been taking Synaleve as a painkiller at night as I've just had a knee replacement. When I didn't take any because the pain had eased, I couldn't sleep. Is this a dependency issue? ## Synaleve is listed as containing Paracetamol/Acetaminophen, Codeine, and Meprobamate, so not being able to sleep could be a withdrawal effect, if you stopped taking it abruptly, rather than tapering off of it. I've had a pain pump since 2007 until April of 2022. In all those years I never missed a refill for one thing as to do so could be fatal. Refills took place every 4 months. But in April 2022 due to a severe illness I wasn't able to get my pump refill and my pump ran out of medicine. Once that happened I was surely looking death in the eye as I was already very ill. However nothing happened once my pump ran out of medicine. This could mean only one thing.
