This medication is weak compared Actavis oxycodone ## Hi Jay, How would you rank the mallinckrodt vs actavis on a scale on 1-10? I know a lot of patients who've been used to taking certain brands have also complained about actavis as well, but in my experience I'm finding the that primary differences people have are based on a variety of individual factors; such as tolerance, age, weight, metabolism, etc. Not only that but because both manufacturers use a different set of "inactive" ingredients (binders/fillers), this could also influence how much of the oxycodone is actually being metabolized and used by your body at any given time. These are the fillers used in mallinckrodt's (M 30) oxycodone 30mg tablet: microcrystalline cellulose + lactose monohydrate + stearic a...

So confused.. There are some of these that are really crumbly and look a lot darker than the ones I originally saw. They taste a lot grosser and are unpleasant.. They also melt in your hand and I didn't recall them doing that before.. ## @Natalie, First things first, depending on whether or not you're getting these filled at a real licensed pharmacy (which you didn't mention), there's really no way to know if what you're getting is real outside of having each tablet analyzed by a lab for verification. This is because counterfeits are becoming increasingly similar to legitimate versions of the same drug, often possessing the same imprint, color, and shape. So in my opinion, the most important thing you can do in such situations is to just be upfront and honest with yo...

I have been taking hydrocodone 10-325 (made by Watson) for about a year. I picked up my prescription yesterday and instead of the normal yellow pill, I received a white oblong pill imprinted with m367 on it. I took 2 for breakthrough pain and had no relief what-so-ever. I called the pharmacy and was told that they will no longer be able to get the med from Watson. Does anyone know what has happened? I have chronic pain, and these white ones from Amneal Pharmaceuticals is not going to cut it. Has anyone else experienced this? ## Hello, Dano! How are you? There's no way to know which manufacturer's product your pharmacy will carry at any given time. You might be better served to talk to your doctor about trying a different medication. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the po...

I have some A 51 30 mg oxycodones and noticed that they turn a yellow/green when damp. I know one of the inactive ingredients is D&C yellow #10 so that may be the cause, but I wanted to check to see if anyone else has noticed the same thing and make sure that it is normal. Thanks for any help in advance. ## I spilled a little water on 1 of my A 51's and it changed color too. Is there a reason this happens? ## Hello, Mike and Jen! How are you both? Moisture can affect the shade, color and tone of virtually anything, including pills. Depending on the specific type of water, you may see different colors at different times, due to small chemical reactions. For instance, you may see a different color from tap water, than from purified water, since there are chemicals in the tap water...

When I was going crazy with pain and looking for relief ,the patch was a Godsend.I started the patch at 25mcg about 7 years ago, I am now on .75mcg.,and using percocet for breakthrough.I have stopped the Percocet because of the similar affects on the stomach I have become plagued with bowel obstructions and Opiod induced constipation ,have resorted to double dose laxtives and Citro-mag every other day in order to go to the bathroom. On a soft diet for last 4 months and losing weight,Ensure and Gravol have become my new best friend.I would kill for some KFC.Problem is I am going for nerve blocks in a couple of weeks, hoping to reduce the strength of the patch needed, hoping that will help with the bathroom problems. I have a T 194 yellow pill that says it's a percocet 10mg, but when taking it, it made me feel super weird and my chest hurt. Is this a possible side effect? ## An oblong yellow pill marked with T 194 on one side and blank on the other is identified as a 10/325mg generic Percocet. For verification, the manufacturer is listed as Camber Pharmaceuticals and the pill itself carries a National Drug Code of 31722-0194. Concerning the possible side effects of Oxycodone, medline plus does list "chest pain" as a potentially serious side effect that you should inform your doctor about immediately. I hope you feel better soon! ## Hi, have you taken Percocet regularly prior to this? I was just prescribed this brand, I had a different one before ## Where did you receive the T194 yellow ...

I've been prescribed an extended-release version of morphine sulfate and I've released I'm not sure how the extended release works. I take one 15 mg pill per day. I guess I thought the extended release meant that I would be getting the benefit of 15 mg of pain relief all day long, at an given moment. But does the ER version simply take that 15 mg and divide it up over the space of 24 hours? 15 divided by 24...that would mean at any given hour, I'd only have 0.62 (less than a milligram) in my system, which is substantially less than 15 mg of relief in any given hour. Can anyone clarify this for me? ## Hello, Groa! How are you? Yes, the tablet contains 15mgs total of Morphine that is slowly released over time. However, generally, the constant release of even small amounts ...

I ran out of Percocet 8 days early. I know people make excuses as to why this happens, but I went to jiffy lube and forgot that my coin purse was on the seat. It had 15 pills in it! I put them in that coin purse, in case of an emergency. Luckily, I still have a few more. My dr. prescribed morphine sulfate 15 mg twice a day. I have not taken it yet. I have been on the Percocet for 3 weeks. Terrified of going through withdrawal. Do you think the Morphine will help eliminate withdrawal? I am also on Gabapentin. Please any response is appreciated. ## Please help.Very anxious and afraid of withdrawals ## Hello, Gabrielle! How are you? Since the maximum dose available of Oxycodone in Percocet is 10mgs and that is equivalent to 15mgs of Morphine, you should actually be fine. The FDA classifies...

What is the difference? ## tramacet relieves the pain percocet relieves the pain AND makes you high (stay away if you can, highly addictive) ## The Tramacet combines the Tramadol with Acetaminophen, which can potentiate the action of some other drugs. Learn more Tramacet details here. Tramadol has shown the potential to be habit forming and it may cause side effects such as nausea, dizziness, constipation and headache. Found a pill with an imprint of Gg 296 and am not sure of what it is. I was told it is some kind of Oxycodone or Percocet and I just wasn't sure what it was? The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. It is available over the counter and by prescription. My pharmacy just switched to the Avkare brand of Norco 7.5. The imprint on it is IP 115. I feel like these do not work at all for me. I would like to know if anyone else that are on these or ever have been on them can let me know how it works/worked for them. ## Hello, Maria! How are you? Has there been any change? As permitted by the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, there can be fluctuations in generic medications. They are allowed to differ in the amount of the active ingredients by as much as plus or minus 20% of what's in the name brand, additionally, they do not have to measure against each other, only against the name brand. Thus it is possible that this one is a little lower than the prior one you were taking. However, since the differences are slight, most people adjust within a we...

It seems America has embraced change and now would be the time to bring up the injustices forced upon vulnerable sections of society, cancer ridden, disabled, congenital pain issues and every other legitimate American requiring temp or long term assistance to maintain a basic quality of life. The heart of this is not allowing manufactures to defraud the public by repealing this law and putting stringent quality control on narcotic manufactures. They should clearly state what specific amount of ingredients are broken down by milligrams, not percentages. As for appropriate so-called therapeutic window argument justifications, that should be determined by the patient and doctor. However, this is impossible to find as manufacturers mislead consumers by saying it's 10mg oxycodone when in...

Is there anything I could take that would give me the energy and good feeling as oxycodone ## Yeah heroin, methadone, oxycontin or any other opiate will give you that great feeling and energy but be SUPER careful! Just by you saying you get "energy" from a pill that is a depressant and downer means your susceptible to opiates in general for addiction. I know I loved the feeling those pills gave me when I first started taking then but soon you will "need" those pills just to function and not to feel good. You'll be rolling on the floor in agony in withdrawal if you dont have them. Trust me 20 years later im still fighting the addiction. On and off heroin and methadone. ITS NOT WORTH IT!! ## I take Oxycodone, actually Roxycodone, for severe back pain--sciatica, stenosi...

What is a light blue oval pill that's blank on one side and has 4 raised lines on the other about 1/2 an inch long? Is it an opiate? ## I had the same question until my brother showed me... It's Wrigley's Eclipse Mint ## I looked up Wrigley's Eclipse Mint and their "Natural Germ Killing Eclipse Mint - Peppermint Flavor" has four raised lines on the light blue side as depicted, but the other blank side of the pill is white instead of blue, which wasn't mentioned by the original poster.
