i have been having trouble getting a good dr who will write oxycodone 30 mg. my back has been broken before and i was going all the way to Florida (a 16 hour drive) just to get my meds. So if anybody knows of any it would be helpful. i live in KY so as long as it is closer that's fine. Thank you.

@bonehoosier-- I have a friend that relies on methadone only for his back and seems to work well for him of course he seems to run out a week or so early every month. He gets 60 roxy 30s and since he takes 80mg of methadone he has said when he runs out of methadone he has to tale 2-3 roxy for any relief. I have another friend who has one mild disc bulge in the same spot as me and if given 120mg of methadone and 5 roxy 30s a day which I feel is too Mich since she is half my weight. She also find out of her breakthrough meds early which I don't understand since some days I can barely walk, and she doesn't have this problem. Both go to legit docs that take insurance and don't just let anybody in. For some it can be effective. I don't know anybody in real pain that takes suboxone, everyone I have heard of was abusing and still is. My thing is stuff works for different people and you need to take what works best to help you live a normal life. Sometimes I think if you take too much meds it can make you hurt worse.

Hey gents/women

Several ?'s. Ive been out of this for awhile cus no $$$....cant stand the pain and need to get back in...would somebody please be nice and try helping. I need help in mn...I have a lead in st paul but sounds like it will b big hassle...does anyone know of any other clinics other than one on lake st or w st paul?? Neighboring states ok..i had a leed on 2 docs outside of Milwaukee but dont know what I did w/them...can anyone help w/those names or any surrounding states....everyone is talkin bout GA/TN, whats the scoop?? Are they one stop shopping like FL?? 2 yrs ago it was getting hard in FL, whats scoop now??? I understand I cant give email out....so any clues you can give me to the correct places would b great....thank you so much.

Hmmm ive seen methadone perscribed to bone cancer patients and it worked great for them with no eurphoria high in addition to this suboxone and methadone has a cutoff if you take 75 mg of methadone you will not get high on oxycodone if taken in conjunction. Suboxone has two formulations now. Myself I took methadone for 2 years for a fusion that refused to heal properly and did not need anything else but at 60 mgs a day is a lot of methadone. Suboxone is being used in pain management clinics and has been for many yrs.. Is it good for pain well that varies from person to person but one version of suboxone/ naloxone you would not want to take any opiates with it and it has been on the market the longest.in the states. The europeans have had a transdermal patch being used for pain for years.

Buprenorphine is a semi-synthetic opioid that is used to treat opioid addiction in higher dosages (>2 mg), to control moderate acute pain in non-opioid-tolerant individuals in lower dosages (~200 µg), and to control moderate chronic pain in dosages ranging from 20–70 µg/hour. It is available in a variety of formulations: Subutex, Suboxone (Buprenorphine HCl and naloxone HCl; typically used for opioid addiction), Temgesic (sublingual tablets for moderate to severe pain), Buprenex (solutions for injection often used for acute pain in primary-care settings), Norspan and Butrans (transdermal preparations used for chronic pain

@hey: if you want to know my Dr's info (he writes 30s), you'll have to look me up as they won't let you reveal any info on this blog. They "X" it out. He has a GA office and is opening a Nashville one in a week. Nashville is closer for me. I can give u the information and you can call and make an appt. He sees patients from all over. As for trusting people you meet on the internet, I should know better. Hell, my own family f***ed me over, so why should I trust anyone at all?

Hey willow I've been reading this blog for months I am in Pittsburgh our pain mgmt don't write roxi 30 or almost impossible. Could you please help me with a any Dr. I have fused ankles really bad. Dr want to push morphine and fetynall. Sorry u got robbed that's my biggest fear how do u trust people from internet.

@ danielle-- so when you refer people to subtex or suboxone are you refering people who have real pain, or the ones who have detox pain? The reason I ask this is in the past methadone was used for opiate users and now they write it as a controlled release pain med. Methadone did not work for me when I tried it, I still needed something else for "breakthrough" pain since my neck and back are so messed up. The people I know that take suboxone still abuse it somehow and of course they only used other opiates to get high on, they had no chronic pain, go figure. I hate people labeling me a certain way and to be honest I have never caught a buzz of my medicine since I take it as directed. Sounds strange huh, but it seems when you hurt all you get is some pain relief from your meds, not a euphoric high. I'm sure suboxone works great for people who only abuse their meds, even though the ones I know who have done this still take suboxone over two years after starting it because as they said they were still getting high. Also the people I know who take methadone are also prescribed oxycodone with it for pain so it seems that if you really hurt then methadone alone won't help you much. I am just asking your opinion on this, nothing more. Thanks

Most of the docs in Ky now require insurance before they will see you. You will also need a confirmable MRI. They will write for you but not a whole lot. I do not have insurance so I've had to go out of state. So I pay to go out of state and get what I need. The clinic I go to in GA just opened an office in Tennessee, so that cuts 2 hours off my drive one way! and it's easier to get filled in TN than in GA.

doneplayin, you seem very uneducated and ignorant. i don't know why you seem to have decided to pick on my posts that are not directed at you and in your comments i see u do not have very good reading comprehension skills, not good grammar either for that matter, and try to spell a person's name correctly if you are going to MISS DANIELLE them, also, what is with DUH? Are you that ignorant or just emotionally immature? I have been in recovery for 7 years and also work for a pharmaceutical company and certainly don't need u to tell me different things work for different people, I am clearly aware of that and didn't say anything to imply otherwise, so if u can't read what i said and comprehend it, keep your big bafoon mouth shut. i ALSO never said anything about suboxone or subutex either being or NOT being addictive, but it is schedule 3 substance so obviously there is a reason for that, and some DO abuse it and they are normally people who do not take it regularly OR only take it when they are out of their DOC. I only speak for myself and try to offer food for thought for anyone who may be finding themselves in a despairing and/or hopeless situation do to his or her opiod use. i have been on suboxone for 2 years and have not gone back to full agonist opiates since and speak to a medical professional who specializes in adult addiction and know that some people are suffering and do not need to be...suboxone & subutex are not "freshen up in between having my DOC to get high on" - it is intended to safely transition a person out of that drug for good...and i am not taking anything anyone has said on here in one way or another - i read and i see and i definitely know I see a lot of bottoming out on here and also denial - been there done that. Do u even have a job? I can't f***ing stand when people who do not know me or anything about me have totally stupid and inaccurate things to say when i wasn't even talking to THEM in the first place. Piss off loser.

I need one bad I haven't been to a pain Dr since march and in this area they closed the door scaryed thanks let me no one way or the other! Later girl!

There is also a fellow on here who goes by the name of Tom or Tommy. He is a liar and a thief. I was in his town on business and met him and he ended up stealing meds out of my purse when I wasn't looking. I didn't find out til later on. He did tell me he had some fine marijuana plants he had grown and was trying to sell bags of it. So if anyone wants to buy marijuana, he'd be happy to oblige you. Just don't give him an opportunity to steal from you....

@Chrissy. Yes, it's been awhile. I am going out of state to a Dr. in Nashville (the one in GA opened a new clinic in Nashville) so we can go to one closer. Same doc. Taking care of me. Can get filled easily in TN too!! So instead of it being a 2 day, stay overnight in a hotel thing, I can drive down, do everything and drive back in one day!

You are absolutely right scttyby75. Hey this is to everyone here and anyone else you know tell them to. If you people are really sick n tired of this bulls*** then listen up.If each and everyone of you would put just a tiny tiny little bit of effort into this you would never be on here complaining ever again.If your sick of this then everybody needs to write their congressman a short letter complaining to him that its time the DEA was shut down and the government wasn't involved in my health care and its time we put people in the office that will help us do just that. Now 1 or 2 of us wont make a difference, but you take us all , and it might not happen over night but it will happen. You have to do it and get others to do it to. If you spent as much time doing this as you do trying to find a Dr. online then it wont be no time until we kicked the DEA right where it hurts ( In the UN-employment line.) I'M telling you the truth here people, they are so afraid of us sticking together that they go to great lengths to keep us fighting amongst ourselves. I know everyone here has a PC so get busy and tell everyone to do the same. I know that this will work if you all will just do it. So so simple.

hey willow, long time no talk. dam! there are so many people on here now...lol last time i checked you found a clinic right here in ky. we have neuropathy together and would like to find a better doc than i have now. i'm interested in the one your going to now are they taking good care of you? wish we could exchange info without being deleted out...:( hope your well and get back to me.

Miss. Daniell, what works for one person wont necessarily work for the other, duh, and you read why more into what we all post , and Subox. and Subutex are being abused just like all of them and things will never change for the DEA it never has with any drug yet! Its all about the ol mighty dollar, period. Have a good day.

BeautyQueen thats kinda funny because the clinic is still open and accepting new patients. That Dr is highly recommended but to continue any pain regiment from a reputable Dr you have to either been thru surgeries and other treatment options or be willing to go thru the newer treatments. Indy has few pain clinics but your best bet is to have a family practice Dr send you to one on a refferal. I have yet to see a good Dr without one.But go figure I am not in the know of those type of Dr's that run script mills and they are getting shut down quickly all over the country thanks to the DEA and people who did not meet any standards of having these types of meds percribed to them..
