i have been having trouble getting a good dr who will write oxycodone 30 mg. my back has been broken before and i was going all the way to Florida (a 16 hour drive) just to get my meds. So if anybody knows of any it would be helpful. i live in KY so as long as it is closer that's fine. Thank you.

People that have chronic pain cant get meds because of people like you. Be smart flush them and stay off the internet.

@danielle, I have a couple of friends who still get high on theory suboxone. I have a 5 page mri and hurt 24/7 so going to something for addiction won't control the pain. Most people I know who use it have no pain except when they ferocious so its great for them. They think by taking it or methadone I won't gift anymore. Tried methadone and still needed a breakthrough med and after seeing someone fetid for 28 days no way o will take it. Also in Europe suboxone is being abused heavily. So if someone is wanting to get high they will find a way. The dea thinks limiting the supply of certain meds will stop all the problems, well sadly now dilauded has been used heavily now and a lot of people are graduating to needles with it for the high. They need to leave the folks in pain alone. The dea said there is no shortage of the med so when you are told thay its a lie.

doneplayin...hi, this is danielle...yes, i know what suboxone is, and i don't need to be told i'll be on it for the rest of my life, that was kind of harsh to say...i said in my post it was trading one addiction for another, and most everyone on suboxone knows this to be the truth, but for ME, it's been a much gentler ball & chain to carry...as for what you said about it being more money, well again, be more informed before making comments that could scare someone away from trying it, it could save their life...they have stopped making the tablets and once the supply is gone it's gone, likely before 2012 is over...they want people taking the films instead, and for those of you without insurance (i have insurane & rx plan, doneplayin, and have never paid more than $10 for a 6 week supply of subox) - the manufacturer of the films is practically giving them away for free - a very nice program they have for the films, worth looking into if you are at the end of your rope and ready to give something else a try...just trying to offer hope for anyone who may be without it and doesn't know there's an option...I would not call suboxone a pain pill.

Do they run a back ground check now if you need,want pain meds? To see if you have a drug charge?

FYI, I did get filled by Walgreens. Not in Kentucky. But I used to get this very med filled in KY at Walgreens for about a year when I was going to a KY doctor. The clinic in GA has been operating for over a year. I don't think they are shut down unless it's been the past week, coz I was just there! I have found a new clinic in TN that I can go to now, so will be switching and saving myself alot of driving. And I believe filling the scrips will be easier, too.

The man is correct the fed is getting involved and will have a nationwide database on who is getting the pills they want to shut down people going to multiple doctors out of state. If you only going to one you will be ok but several they will put you under the fed pen. Maybe when the fed takes over the states will backdown some on this subject

Sayhi2kitty There are a few things that you are correct on but you missed one point that has kept me on my meds and in KY. You have to had previous surgeries to continue the meds. My doc cut everyone that had police records any failed counts or drug screens and people who did not have prior surgeries. There is a set standard they have to follow now that has been posted on the state medical license website. As for the other issue in KY it is bad news period this Carrolton Dr not only OD paitents but the DEA has been investigating him for months for Trading pills for other drugs to sex for drugs then the DEA got calls from walgreens about hi paitents bringing in unsigned scripts. Being turned down then showing back up with scripts signed again when he was'not in the office the DEA was watching him and stated it in the complaint filed by the state medical board. Yes everyone the DEA has the pharmacy watching you also. I still tell people who call me to go to methadone center its much cheaper paying 400 a month there for some relief than to buy anything from the streets. And yes too many doctors did their patients dirty on how they cut them off when they knew for months this was coming. So far ive been blessed and have not gone thru a cutback..

Hey willow, the out of state stuff won't work anymore. The dea shut down walgreens distribution center for the east coast last month. The dea agent said there was no shortage at all of the medication so the pharmacists now are so worried the dea will come in they just won't risk it anymore. Now when the database gets up and running it will change. Also since the dea has gone after distributors now they have cut the amount they ship out until this blows over. So used to they had enough for regulars and then some, now not so Mich but they are scared they will get in trouble. I agree with this bit even at places I have a good history with they still low to me, go figure. You should just forget about the out of state ones. Also I'm sure the clinic you went to got shut down two weeks ago, a lady tried transfering to my docs office who told me some stuff from there. I know one place may fill it for you but its $525 for 75 tablets and I get a finders fee. they just want the money so I have never used them. Also don't expect walgreens to get them regularly for now. Pleaded stay in your own stayed, I have only ever gone to 1 doc only but now I'm having trouble getting my meds to have a normal life. I could have gone to Florida with other people who begged me and got rich, but o though about the long run and knew something would happen soon. It's amazing how much money people will offer you to do something when you have a 5 page long mri report!!

"Now about all the issues in KY. What issues basically the way I see it. The new Laws has not effected me and several others at all. The ones it has effected are people with police records for drug sales and people who failed drug tests and pill counts." Now that little paragraph does not apply to everyone like you think it does. I have no police record, have never failed a drug test and always complied with pill counts. Don't accuse ppl when you don't have all the facts! I do have rheumatoid arthritis & many other conditions so I don't consider myself addicted. I had a horrible time trying to find any doc to see me. After finding one I still was told that every doc in that office wasn't prescribing pain meds to "anyone". All I know is that alot of ppl that were being seen by my now incarcerated doc prolly had to go to the streets to find anything or have switched to something even worse (I hope not). Still have sympathy for those in real pain that can't find help.

I agree. The more I hear the worse it gets. I was on the MS Contin for 6 yrs & had to go through the horrible withdraw, got sick during it & am still sick. I have never felt so horrible in my life. I will never accept any pain meds that are derived from the opium plant again!! It was just like going through a heroin addicts' withdrawal. I recommend that anyone on this type of med switch or face going through the "heroin kicks". My parents also informed me that one of their friends died under his care also. If I knew that I would have left his practice before he got arrested. Well whatever happens to him it's because of his own actions.

I need help finding a pharmacy that will fill out of state. I got my scrips in GA, but live in KY. My regular pharmacy is out and won't have the Oxy 30s in for 2 months, so I need to fill now. Can anyone tell me a pharmacy that's not too far from Lexington KY? Or I will drive wherever! Thanks!

Hey tom I am in need of a pain doctor really bad and I just moved to St. Louis. Being new to this place I don't know anyone and don't even know where to start if you know of one here I would greatly appreciate it.
