i have been having trouble getting a good dr who will write oxycodone 30 mg. my back has been broken before and i was going all the way to Florida (a 16 hour drive) just to get my meds. So if anybody knows of any it would be helpful. i live in KY so as long as it is closer that's fine. Thank you.

hello all i am a veteran wit 3 deployments overseas and in 2006 was injured when an ied exploded next to my vehicle. since then i have been getting 4 perc 10 a day and 25mcg of fetanal patches. recently my dr lost his liscene here in north ky and now with my agae 29 and my dr ba name i have been having issues of finding a good dr to help me out. im very willing to travel to find a dr that will giv me my meds. i have had several injections with no help. if any one would please help it would be greatly apprecheated

I am sorry about my post. I apologize for hurting you, and everyone. I was trying to say, when you go to the doctor and asking for oxycodone 30mg, the doctors know that MOST, shoot them up. That was the junkie part. I am sorry you, and everyone else suffer from chronic pain, I do as well, and I was in so much pain when I wrote those post. That is NOT an excuse, as it should have never happened, and I am truly sorry to you, and everyone. I DO FEEL VERY BAD ABOUT IT, I wish I could take it back, although I can't. I can not blame you if you don't except ,my apology. That was very mean the stuff I wrote, again I am sooo very, very sorry. To tell you the truth, at first when I read your letter, my first reaction was to write something back, that was mean and hurtful. That's just what happen with Chrissy and I, when I'd read hers, I'd write back and was mean. Chrissy, I am sorry about the things wrote to you also.That is not the kinda person I am, I know it doesn't seem like it, but hey I am keeping it real, I am truly very very very very sorry. I can't say it enough. I HATE LIVING IN CHRONIC PAIN, it makes me do/say some very ugly, mean, hurtful things, because I am at the time trying to deal with the increased pain, working, home life, and everything else . I know very well y'all are going through the same, doing the same things, not thinking I just do. I hope and pray I can get a handle on it, so I do NOT EVER DO THIS AGAIN. To all of y'all...........I AM SO SORRY!

hey my doctor shut his office down the day before my appointment ! i was getting oxy 15 and percs for breakthrough and xanax apparently because of these new laws , ! i need a new pain doctor !! im in so much pain i cant function! if anyone can help ! i live in eastern ky .it really doesnt matter where just looking for somewhere closer than ga or fla

I have never said this to anyone. I'm so sorry you survived. You are cruel, insensitive, crass, and oh yeah, bitter much? Get some "psycho" therapy. You aren't posting to help anyone, you post to belittle. Does it make you feel like more of a man? May your life be as pleasant as you are.

I'm glad you don't have to travel, but I do since the worst tornado in history took out not only 9200 homes, but ALL THE CLINICS, DR OFFICES, AND THE F ING HOSPITAL!
Am I a junkie? No I'm not. I take Lortab 10/500, up to 8 per day, I try to get by on 4 or 5. I have Lupus and RA, which I didn't ask for, and I am 36 years old. I do have a script for Xanax, but I have Xanax left at the end of the month, not month left at the end of my Xanax! So Captain Closed-Minded-Medical-Professional, what say you? Oh, the xanax, that's to help with the PTSD and the loss of soooo many people I knew and loved. Hopefully they will eventually find the missing and we can give them a proper burial. Shame on you. You may work in the medical field, but I wouldn't call you a professional. You should consider a new career as you obviously have ZERO compassion.

What we can do is only HOPE and PRAY that they suffer the type of pain we go through, THEN have them get refused pain medication. Their tune would change in a heartbeat. Judgemental a**hol**.

What is the name of this doctor? I am in constant pain with a zero quality of life. Oxycodone helps, not 100%, but can't be without it. Thanks.

@mike there really is not a safe state anymore. I live in Georgia, I don't doctor shop so I am not really the one to help you. I just know over the last year they have clamped down here. I went to a pharmacy two weeks ago and there were 4 dea agents going through records. They do this sometimes anyways but a couple of months before they charged me $250 for my 75 30s and I always need a receipt to turn into Allstate for my settlement and he said call him and he would fax it in. Basically hr would show insurance one price and charge another and that is wrong. Hopefully walgreens will get them on one day soon.

@tattoo: I could email you but don't have your email address. You can google pain management in GA and find out the name of the clinic I normally go to. It's in Lilburn. They are opening their new TN office on Nov 1st to handle all the folks who are having to drive from up north. This new clinic will shave 2 hours driving time off my trip one way.

The police dept. They have take back program that all your unused meds they make sure there properly disposed and that they don't end up in the hands of children or criminals. By the way it is national so it won't be a prob.

@mike-- it is not a one stop shop anywhere anymore. Georgia is about to have the database like Florida and most places that open that came from Florida get s*** down pretty quickly. They didn't want Atlanta to turn into the next Miami. Also because of the stuff in Florida the dea is now targeting everything they can, even distribution centers. Cardinal was suspended of shipping schedule 2's in march, which made it where over half the pharmacies didn't get shipments, and another quit shipping them until they went though all their stuff to make sure they were not next, which was mckesson. Last month the walgreens distribution center was suspended from shipping oxycodone to Florida and stores on the east coast from their Jupiter Florida facility. Walgreens is sueing the dea because they found nothing illegal, they just did it because the number of units shipped out to some stores in Florida went over 1 million units in a year, when broken down didn't wasn't as many patients as they thought. The dea just figured they had to be doing something illegal because of the number of pills sent. So the dea is treating all this like a columbian drug lord, which some agents have come out and said you can't do it that way. Also congress is looking into all the complaints they are getting from pain patients, including me. So now pharmacies in Atlanta just lie to you saying there is a shortage when the dea said last month it is a myth. Since the dea has hassles pharmacists st cvs and walgreens none of them want to risk filling them and getting hassles ny the dea. My old pharmacist got tired of them apparently. So 90% of docs and pharmacists in GA will not fill for DB out of state patient and a lot of docs offices have on theory website or posted all over the office no out of state patients. So pill mills have made it hard need to get anything done. Two friends and I who don't sell or abide our meds can't fill them, and it seems the folks who just sell them have them all the time by lying to a doc and getting away with it.
