I am seeking help. I am from the Winston-Salem area of North Carolina. I am an addict of 18 years. It is time to quit. I have friends who have left the addiction circle. They have successfully taken buprenorphine. Here is my problem. I am severely allergic to the blocker in suboxone - naloxone. It is not an option for me. I have a dear friend who gave me her remaining subutex tablets. She tapered off and is clean and doing well now. I have been clean for 1 week which is a PHENOMENAL accomplishment for me! I am afraid of what will happen if I cannot find a doctor who will prescribe the subutex. Please, will someone out there lead me in the direction of a Physician/MD/Doctor that will write me Subutex? I go to the methadonr clinic every day and take 85 mg of it i at 4 somas and had a 15 panel drug screan and they srnt it to the lab will i fail my drug screan or will i be ok. ## I just did a urine drug screen, take SOMA (prescribed) and it did show up on the panel. ## No. I take them everyday. ## I was on a clinic for 8 years and never showed Soma, which I've been on for 10yrs. ## No, Soma does not show up. Will labs identify the presence of suboxone or just prove there's no oxycodone? ## Been on suboxone for 3 years ! Its a generic suboxone best taken sublingualy (let dissolve under tounge) in my opinion its not as potent as the generic subutex that im prescribed but on the plus side its not as easy to abuse. If anyone knows if this is more affordable than the Gen subutex (8mg str8 buprenorphine) please reply .. I took an 1/8 or less of a 8/2mg suboxone. I did not take it to get off opiates but to ease through wds until i get my script filled tomorrow This is my first time ever taking suboxone. Will such a low dose prevent me from feeling my percocet in 20hrs? ## I don't have personal experience on the matter, but I'd imagine that the Suboxone wouldn't have had much time to accumulate in your system since you've only been taking it for a couple days now. According to wiki, the elimination half-life of buprenorphine lies anywhere between 20 to 73 hours (or about 37 hours on avg). Recently I've been experiencing water retention in my right leg. Is this from taking methadone? I've had several tests done. They say it's lymphademia but no blood clots were found. Everything seems to be okay yet I'm retaining water in my right leg. It doesn't make any sense. I heard Do you swallow methadone or dissolve it umder your tongue first?? I ## It depends on the formulation. What are the markings on it? Methadone comes in sublingual, liquid, and sold formulations that you have to swallow. Can you please post back with more details? The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. It also carries the risk of being habit forming.

Hi I've been on Methadone for about 7 months and am completely over it. I have weaned down from 65mgs to 30mgs without too much hassle. I've now been told I can switch to Suboxone but isn't it just changing from one to another, so what's the point? I'm so over taking this crap. I've gone from a size 6 to a size 12 during this time and hate it. I hate everything about it, it's just horrible. It started after a Doctor had put me on Endone for headaches, without telling me they were extremely addictive. I was taking 2-scripts for oxy and now taking Zubsolv but just ran out after 65 days. I'm miserable not as bad as withdrawal from oxy but bad enough. I am a 36 year old female, I was pregnant and on 35 and during the duration of the pregnancy I went up tp 145mg. The highest I have ever been. I had the baby and in 4 months detoxed down to 95 with the intention of getting off. However if anything stressful happens in your life your sick. I have Medicare Insurance Plus State Insurance - I am looking to relocate to a state that will at least help me with the cost of my medicine. I get a script of 30 a month and i pay $110 dollars for 30 of the brand name. I dont have the pill on me i was just wanting to know what a 5 mg methadone looked like. ## Since it is a generic, there are several tablets available that contain 5mgs of Methadone, so I can't really list them all, but here are the descriptions and markings to give you some examples: Rectangular, white, M in a square on one side, 5755 on the other. I take 15 mg of morphine 3× day for pain control and 30 mg of methadone 3× day for pain control. Last month I took a saliva test and it showed negative for morphine. I take all of my medicine as prescribed. Now pain management has an issue with me. I'm in Texas for 60 days and my script is due in a week. Can my dr. call it in, in Texas from New Jersey? I talked to CVS and they said yes. Is this true?
