I am 60 yrs old have been in methadone clinic but have buisness trips where I'm gone 3-5 days or 2 weeks to China Need perscription for methadone while away. Any help? ## Have you tried asking them if they can make any suggestions on a doctor you could see? Methadone can be prescribed for home use, in some states, though I am not sure what the laws are in NJ. Even doing a search for clinics there doesn't really help, because even if they can, we have no way of knowing if they will prescribe it that way. Have you spoken to a regular doctor about it?

I am try ing to get off suboxoneand xanax. I am taking about 1/8 of a 2mg suboxane 2 x a day and down to 1 .5mg xanax a day. I am getting blurred vision, confusion, anxiety, trouble sleeping. Tremors, When I take a little more suboxone, it goes away. I was down to 1/2a .5mg xanax and 1/4 to less of a suboxone a day, but the withdrawls from the suboxone ocurred w/in 2-3 days. diarrhea, sweats, anxiety, How do I gat off this with the least affects? ## Geographic location is Florida, I have been on Suboxone and Xanax for over a year and a half. i was wondering if u sniff suboxone does it work the same way? ## No. Suboxone only works one way - by dissolving it under your tongue. It is specially designed that way. If you try to snort, swallow, inject it, (etc.) it has an ingredient - naloxone (sp?) - that will render it useless. In fact, if you take it any of those ways you might actually kick-start yourself into withdrawal. When you dissolve it under your tongue it allows for the main ingredient (the opioid part) to be released into your body. But my question is - why would you want to snort it? Aren't you taking suboxone to rid yourself of that lifestyle? Or do you just like sticking things into your nose? If that's the case, try crushing and snorting Smarties candies. i am taking 70 mg. methodone daily. i have been clean many years. going to meth. clinic interferes with my job. is there a place that dispenses suboxon. ## You can check Suboxone.com to see if there is a doctor in your area that provides Suboxone treatment. The way it works though, might cause you some problems. You do have to be in full withdrawal, before you can start Suboxone, because it contains both Buprenorphine and Naloxone, so the Naloxone can throw you into severe withdrawals, if you take it too soon. From what I understand, some of them do give take-home prescriptions, but it depends on the doctor's policies and the laws in your state. I have had 4 nerve blocks, trigger point injections, and allergic reaction to suboxone and fentalyn for three herniated discs lower back. I had to go back to oxycontin. My doctor has stopped taking workers' comp and I can't find another pain management doctor that will prescribe meds. I have been told that an operation cannot guarantee being pain free, and may make me worse, which I can't imagine living with. My life is consumed with living with this, and the government should stay out of the doctor patient relationship or question it for people who do not use drugs recreationally or abuse them. has anyone taken kinz ampoules,steroid painkiller i think? is the effect for pain reilief anything like opiates/methadone,thanx if anyone can help? ## Kinz Ampoules contain the active ingredient Nalbuphine, it is a semi-synthetic opiate, so it is used as an analgesic, but isn't generally listed as a controlled substance, because some effects are different and it is isn't considered to have the same abuse potential as regular opiates. Need help first question is ive been taking suboxen for 8 months with no issues the last drug test i took came back negative for suboxne but i will still taking it. I just started tranning for a bench press comp and have been doing a keto diet and drinking about 2-3 gal of water a day would that cause you to not have it in your urin. I have mutable back problems. They want to do big time surgery on me. I want to stay on methadone 10 mg. till I'm ready to do surgery, not when they tell me to do it. I need a Dr. to let me stay as I am till the time comes I'm ready to do this surgery! ## Have you consulted other doctors and gotten a second opinion? It is unusual for a doctor to stop someone's pain medications, before major surgery to treat such a condition. What did they say was the reason they wanted you to stop taking it?

I take 45mg of percoset daily. I'm trying to get off of them for a couple weeks, because I have been taking more of my daily dosage then I'm supposed to. I'm not abusing I have just been in a lot of pain. I've been taking percoset for 6 years, and this is the first time I've ever taken more than normal. my friend gave me a suboxin today to help with withdrawal symptoms. it is 8 mg. he told me to break into 6 pieces. and take 1 piece each day. my question is this... how long will this block the opiates???? how many days do I need to take the soboxen????? and when can I start taking my percoset again??????? Here's my story. I started years ago occasionally using roxi 30's on every few weekends a month. Not a habit or addiction (per say) but just for fun at parties and bars. Around 5 months ago I began abusing them daily. (to help get through some rough times) Approx 1-3 (never more than 3, and hardly ever 3) Snorting or eating them 1/2 pill (15 mg) a time. In the past month I have began taking them upon waking. Before this it was later in the day or at night. I am tired of the feeling i have been having the past month and was given two 8mg subs. I have been tking methadone for many years, recently my Dr. ordered a drug urine test. I am wondering if she is the one prescribing the methadone, why is she ordering a drug test? ## She may want to just check and make sure that you are taking the medication, as prescribed and not abusing it or selling it. It is very common for doctors to do this. If you are prescribed a certain amount, at a certain dosing interval, the levels in your urine should fall within a certain range. Anything outside of that range can alert them to a potential problem. is a 4mg tablet of suboxone a half of tablet or a whole tablet...could someone please explain this to me...8mg 2 mg what is what?? ## There are 2 dosages available, which contain the Buprenorphine and Naloxone, one is a 2mg/0.5mg and one is an 8mg/2mg, so yes, to take 4mgs, you'd have to take half of the larger tablet. I need to find a strong opiod medication with "only" an opiod in it. No additives, carriers, mediums, etc.,etc. I do not anticipate living much longer due to cirrohsis of the liver. I have extreme chronic back pain, scaitia, and would like to live my remaining yrs without such pain. (Dr's state cannot help, except with pain meds) Any additives to an opiod med. does further damage to my liver. Currently I am on approx 40 mgs of methadone, & it helps enough to make pain bareable. Looking for a doctor in Montgomery Co. Md or close to perscribe Methadone, I have been on a methadone for 15 yrs, I go to a clinic, the problem is I,m a building contractor, 53 yrs old and have had surgery on my back and knee, and I hurt most of the time, the clinic will only give 5mgs more and its just not enough, I,m at 110mgs but I,ve been on it for so long, I have saved meathadone on my good days and on my bad days I,ll take 200 mgs to 240 mgs and really makes me feel so much better, I work hard, I sweat alot, I think the meathadone just goes through my system very fast.Can you please help help me.
