Hello everyone! I was just wandering if anybody else is sometimes off by the timing of taking their suboxone? My Dr. Told me 2 try and take it at the same time every day. But a lot of times I'm off by 2-4 hours. Reason being is, I'm up a lot of nights in pain ( sometimes, half the night.) and, I'll take it a little earlier, or, fall back 2 sleep, and take it a little later. I get u/a every time I go 2 Dr. And, I don't want it 2 effect my results. I do only take the amount I'm suppose 2. My doctor switched me from Percocet 10/325 to Butrans 15mg. I've been taking the 10/325 for about 6 years. 5-6 pills a day. I am scared to death that the 15mg Butrans is too high? Or that I will go into withdrawal. Please help. Thank you. ## Hi Sparkles, Sorry to hear about your situation. From what I could gather, Buprenorphine is listed as the active ingredient in Butrans. This medication can pull Perocet off your receptors (causing withdrawal) if you're not at least somewhat off of it yet, so I can understand why you're probably hesitant to make the switch. If you find this transition to be too difficult, I would even ask your doctor to help you taper down first to make things easier on you. The Suboxone Doc I was seeing in Cambridge, md is leaving the practice and I cant find another doc to save my life. I live in Livingston tx and I am looking for a dr. Who will prescribe me suboxone. I got put on them one time without any insurance and it cost me about $450.... Was on methadone fir 3 months and I've been off of it fir 1 month but I've been doing other opiates to get me through the withdrawal. I'm looking into taking subutex and wanted to no if I can take one right away or do I have to wait 24hrs for the opiates to get out of my system. ## Hello, Tiny! How are you? That is one of the things that is usually warned about in the mediation information for which you are told to contact your doctor immediately. This needs to be checked out, as soon as possible. Hi,Ive recently began suboxone treatment @ (8mg/2mg) twice daily,today is my 3rd day. My question is straightforward,how many mgs of suboxone is "considered" closely equal to only 80 mg of hydrocodone? There really is no direct conversion, but the rough one that's usually used is 1.2mgs of the Buprenorphine to each 30mgs of Hydrocodone, but the person's overall tolerance to narcotics must be factored in, along with the fact that the Suboxone is dosed once a day, where the other was taken several times a day. Recently I was denied college enrollment (surgical tech) due to the fact that I'm on methadone for pain management. I take a low maintenance dose of 60mg/day and am well managed. I have fibromyalgia, sciatica and arthritis and something wrong with my back that I can't pronounce. I had a felony that was almost 20 yrs. old and first they made me get an expungement delaying my enrollment for 41/2 months. I went back with expungement in hand ($1000.00 later) and started the enrollment process again. Do prescription of fifteen suboxone strips come in a bottle? ## Dear Butch, I'm on suboxone (24) mg. a day. Mine comes in boxes of 30. It's a 1 month supply. If the amount of suboxone is lower than 30 they will put it in a prescription bottle. That has happened 2 me b 4. If they didn't have enough 4 a full months supply that day, they give me a partial and put it in a bottle. The information , including the amount of films will b on the bottle.

I'm on suboxone 24 mg. a day. I use 2 b on methadone . When I was on methadone I use 2 c my counselor and go 2 group. Once I got off the methadone and got on suboxone, my Dr. Told me I had 2 go 2 N.A. Or A.A. The first 3 months I had 2 have a paper signed 2 prove I was going. After the 3 months, I was opening meetings and signing other peoples papers. I didn't have 2 get a paper signed anymore. But I've been going 2 meetings faithfully 4 years now. My question is: have u guys gone through the same thing ? Do u still go 2 meetings?

If it's an amount higher like. (30) they will come in a box. The boxes hold (30) so, if she is prescribed a smaller amount, they divide it down. I have been without my medications since September 26th, it is now October 6th. I am supposed to be taking Suboxone Strips but I cant afford my prescription. What are considered therapeutic levels for driving under the influence? My boyfriend is prescribed 16mg a day but only take a total of 2 mg -4 mg daily because he just wants to feel Normal and doesn't want to b fully dependant on it. ## Hi Tammy, How long has your boyfriend been on Suboxone for? Based on what I've read, Suboxone shouldn't impair your driving ability at all once you're used to its effects. Apparently though, they can still charge him with a DUI if for any reason he were to get himself pulled over. So as long as he's responsible about it, he may be fine with the amount he's choosing to take now. However, only through trial and error will he truly know what dosage allows him to be fully functional and without impaired judgment. I hope this helps!

Ive been on methodone for chronic pain for the past 9 years and on the same dose of 60mg a day for the past 6-7 yrs. ive been dealing with chronic pain for the past 11 yrs since i was only 25 yrs old after suffering for the 1st two yrs i was prescribed methodone which helped tremendously. Hello, my son was prescribed this medication and because he has been a drug abuser in the past I'm wondering if this medication can be injected. Originally it comes in a large red capsule that contains time released granules. Can anyone please tell me if he will be able to inject this medication as injection is his method of choice? I started Butrans 10 mg last Friday. On the following Monday I started to feel dizzy and nausous. Then by Thursday I was dizzy nausous and felt like I was having a hard time breathing. Took the patch off and did not put another one on. I am still feeling dizzy and nausous but I can breathe now!! How long will the dizziness and sick feeling last. I was only on it a week!! ## Hello, Debi! How are you doing? Are you feeling any better? It may take a few days, before the side effects completely wear off and you start to feel more normal. Due to the breathing issue, you most likely did the right thing by taking it off, because it can cause respiratory depression which has the potential of being dangerous. Have you contacted your doctor? You should check with them to be sure that all is well.
