I just recently took a urine screening for a custody battle because my daughter's mother has been involved with cps. The results came back that I failed for benzos... I have been on 8-12mg of subutex for 11months now. Long story short is that I am unable to keep taking them due to the fact that I'm not prescribed them and have no access to them any longer. Truth be told, I'm scared to death because of all the horror stories. Can anyone herehelp me? Will methadone make me test positive for thc in blood and urine? ## No not in blood, however in Urine...depending on the accuracy of their screening method, it is possible. That is why ALL tests muct be CONFIRMED by a more expensive and completely accurate method, i.e., GC/MS or LC/MS/MS. The instant cups, drug screen cards, and dip stick tests are NOT accurate all the time. Many things can cause FALSE positive results. CONFIRMATION MUST be done. That is the only LEGAL and ABSOLUTELY GOLD STANDARD.

Dear VerWon, I now know the difference between suboxone and subtext. But, why would one Dr. Choose one over the other? Is the suboxone used for addiction and subtext used for just pain? ## Hello, Cats68! How are you? As I said in my prior post, Suboxone includes Naloxone to prevent the abuse of other narcotics, while someone is being treated with it for addiction and that is exactly why it is usually preferred over Subutex. Well, i foolishly got into H. I am a life long addict. Opiates for 15 yrs. A few questions. I am poor and on molina medicaid, NO DRS. take state insurance. 2) i have heard suboxone is a nightmare in the long run. The wds are supposed to be HORRENDOUS! Yet i feel i need subs, at least a few times a weeks to steer clear of H. Any advice? Anybody ever get subs thru PACE in Oakland county? My life is a nightmare w 3 yrs of H use behind me. I have been going to a methadone clinic for a lil over 2 years now. Recently I've been failing drug test for benzos. But I never take them. We aren't medical professionals and only a doctor at said hospital could decide whether or not you require admission. If the symptoms are very bad or worsen, then yes, you should go to your nearest ER, as some withdrawal effects can be very dangerous, possibly deadly. Are you experiencing any other symptoms? ## Yes. People generally end up being dependent on it for awhile and then they are tapered off very slowly to enable them to become drug free. I just moved to Idaho from California. I am on methadone for degenerative disc disease. And have been on it for 8years. A pain team with Kaiser Permanente put me on it.. well this was an unexpected move. . I got on Idaho medicaid and they assigned me to a health clinic(after i didn't choose one because of everything going on)well the clinic has a policy that they dont prescribe anything over the equivalent of 120Mg morphine.. they wont fill my script! I live in the Boise area... Any suggestions? ## I don't think most of us realize that taking opioids for long periods can also cause pain because your body is asking for more and (causing issues with other parts of your body without you recognizing it and has a terrible affect on your mind) not taking on time can be painful as well...
