The doctor prescript it - exceptionally, he said - in my case for severe depression (I have a history of drugs addiction, but that was a very long time ago). Suboxone is really saving my life. I feel fine with it, I can function normally. It is really a new life to me. My new psychiatrist want me to go down to 16mg a day, but I don't. Is there any reason I should go down ? If anyone had a similar experience, I would be very interested in knowing about it. Thank you all in advance. Jo. ## hi...i also have suffered from severe depression for years..i have been on every antidepressant there is..nothing lasts...but when i take suboxone,it works wonders for my depression..i have e...
I ran out of one of my meds, so a week ago I took addarall and methodone, I have to go for a blood test next week, they didn't find either one in my urine test they did today. I took both of them for a week. Is it going to show up in a blood test? ## Blood tests detect adderal for 1-4 days. Methadone is detectable in blood until around 7-10 days. They are found in saliva a few days less and in piss a few days more. Methadone hangs around a while, even if very little is taken. Be carefull. Adderal, like most amphetamines, is out fairly quick. ## I went to my Dr who prescbies me 10 my lortabs and.05 xanax and was pissed tested and he said u have both ur rx in ur system but when I called to get them refilled they said no Etti the of them are in my system. I take these both everyday and...
i have been on subutek for 6 months now and just found out i am 6 weeks pregnant and im scared on what to do am i to try to quit the subutek or if i stay on them what are the laws in tenn for using subutek while pregnant? ## Hello, Rickie! How are you? Congratulations on the baby!!! Since you're pregnant, it is very important that you inform your doctor that you've been taking it, for the safety of both you and your baby. It is the preferred drug to be used during pregnancy and your doctor can help you make sure that you see someone who is knowledgeable about using it during pregnancy. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizzines...
I have been on suboxone for a little while now and my doc just tapered me down to take 1 a day which was fine because I told him I was ready but then my husband and I pretty much turned our lives upside down and in the midst of moving and a pay decrease and my husband getting laid off all the stress just made my cravings go skyrocket. I went thru my 30 strip in 15 days and they were supposed to last me 30 days. They wouldn't refill early and I couldn't function without them. I ended up borrowing nine from my husband but when I finally got mine 30 strip for 30 days I had to give 9 back to my husband and stress was still there and now I'm almost out again. Just refilled on the 27th. I don't know what to do. Doc told me to call if I have any issues I've been trying to c...
My husband and I go to a methadone clinic. My husband tested positive for oxycodone but did not take oxycodone. The only other thing that he took was naproxen. Is there anyway that naproxen could've caused a false positive? I know it can for THC, but I was not sure about oxycodone?
Updated in MethadoneI had to change my drug workers as new area so now these criminal based d.wks have control over me. I am now on 4mgs buprenorphine & have also stopped prozac. Thats it although prescribed 12mg. I'm an older woman & not a criminal & came off all kinds 8/10 years ago. I'm never given a drug panel unless i see my shrink 3/4 times a year. I have to see my wkr every month & have to get my script delivered to my door every week as i cant get out. I'm degraded every time my neighbors see a chemist guy with a big bright c d sticker on it. I feel like I must move now as i'm too embarrassed. I am ill & in pain but cant get out for help. Do I have any rights at all? please advise.
Updated in BuprenorphineI just got off methadone and am having terrible PAWS...no motivation, isolating, don't want to get dressed and go anywhere, etc. This is NOT my first go around with it as I suffered with PAWS in the past when I got off suboxone a few years back. I also deal with depression and am on 3 different medications. I know my body is out of whack and have to accept that it will take time but any suggestions or support would be greatly appreciated! And any vitamin or supplement info. would really be helpful! ## How long have you Been off? You did it once, you can do again. Yes PAWS is the worst. Pretty much cold Turkey almost year and half ago,and would love to tell you my life so much better, but I still suffer the loss motivation etc. I actually felt better in energy way 6 months too year. WA...
I am currently on a 10mg Butrans patch and also norco for break through pain. I got off track on taking the norco's because I was having some really bad pain and it was the only way I could get relief (big mistake) because in 10 days I have an appointment with my pain management doctor and because I am having breakthrough pain now with nothing to take. If he decides to run a UA how is it going to affect the outcome?
Updated in ButransI have a prescription @ methadone, and suddenly after 3 years, can't find any pharms in north FL or south GA that will fill it...DEA's making it impossible for folks with legit pain issues to get relief. Anyone know of any small pharmacies? The big chains won't fill. Help.. ## The big chains would be the most likely pharmacy to fill it as they get the largest allotted amount. The smaller pharmacies don't get as many a month. I'm having the same issues right now. I started a dr 9 years ago with legitimate issues and had no problems til almost a year ago. Now the smaller pharmacies are saying they require 2 or more non narcotic prescriptions in order to fill. Not to mention u now have to fill scripts in the county of the doctor and heaven forbid u moved recently and ha...
I was on suboxone for 8 yrs no problems. Last year I was in the hospital for medical problem. I was given iv dilaudid and that triggered a relapse. I have been trying to get back on suboxone. Everytime I take one I getsick. The last time I tried it had been 27 hours since last opiate. Any suggestions. ## Suboxone does contain the opiate Buprenorphine, so it can cause nausea and vomiting as a side effect, as listed by the FDA. You may also experience dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. It also risks being habit forming. You also need to be in full withdrawal from any opiates, before taking it. There's no set time frame for it, just when you know you're in full withdrawal, unless your doctor has instructed otherwise. Does anyone else have any advice to add?
Can anyone help me find a doctor in Hamilton county Indiana who will help me and givie me a script for suboxone pills ## Hello, Casie! How are you? You can search for doctors that treat with it in you area by using the search engine on the Suboxone site. You can find it at Suboxone.com click here. It allows you to search by zip code and their contact information will be included, so you can see if they are taking new patients. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
I am being taken off the pain clinic for severe headaches and back pain because a test showed up suboxen and I have never taken that I need to desprately find out and see if it is anything I have taken or was prescribed as I also take physk meds and tonic water for leg cramps is the only thing new that I have taken, and a addarol please help ## First, the main question is, what type of test did they do? Most regular drug tests do not show a specific medication, but just the drug class. For instance it would show opiates, rather than specifically Suboxone. A test that shows the specific drugs is much more expensive and takes much longer to perform. That said, even if they did that type of test, no, the only thing that would show up as the Buprenorphine would be Buprenorphine. There are, ...
I have just taken subutex but don't feel better can i take dillauded or will it block it or make me sick ## Hello, Jayi! How are you? No, the Dilaudid will not likely have any effect. The Subutex tends to cling very strongly to the opiate receptors, though it is a rather weak opiate, so it leaves the others unable to have any effect. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
Looking for advice! I was a faithful addict on oxycotton sorry about spelling, for about 5 to 6 yrs. I've been on suboxone for 8 yrs and terribly addicted to that now. Finally trying to taper on small dose now having a very hard time, lost my job can't stay awake so now I've been prescribed modifinal. I've read some online about it and just started today now a little scared because what I've read is that this is also addicting. Am i on another journey i don't want to be on? I don't have very good past with will power and scared it's starting all over again. Please help!!!! I have a lot of bad things going on in my life and this could be another easy way out? ## Yes, Modafanil is classified by the FDA as a stimulant, so it could also be habit forming. Its ...
Does anyone know of a Suboxone doctor near Sweetwater, TN? ## Hello, Joe! How are you? You can search for doctors in you area by using the search on the Suboxone website. You can find it at Suboxone.com click here. You can search by zip code and their contact information will be included, so you can check to see if they are accepting new patients. I have been on Methadone 10mg - 2 tabs 4 x a day for 6 years and 300 mg's/day for 5 yrs before that from a methadone clinic. My Primary care Dr. (also my pain management Dr) recently decided that I needed to "taper down", Because I told her that the new pharmacy I went to gave me a hard time about the quantity. The reasons that I am on the meds in the 1st place are conditions that don't improve and I've never told her that I was feeling any better. I have a herniated C5, C6, L3, L4 S1, DDD, Fibromyalgia. So anyway she told me that "law says Methadone is 5 x stronger than Morphine and you're only allowed 100 mgs of Morphine so you're taking way too much already. I'll just take 1 pill away a day, you won't notice it." But I was already running o...
I switched from 50 mcg of fentanyl to 5mg of methadone 4× per day. ## Hello, Joelle! How are you? How is the Methadone working for you? The FDA classifies this as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Methadone is very potent and works very well for many people at alleviating pain.
I used yesterday morning half a balloon how soon can i take a sub? My legs hurt thats about it. ## Hello, Kychan! How are you? I'm not familiar with that phrase, so I am not sure what it is that you took. However, I can tell you that you can't take Suboxone, until you are in full withdrawal from everything else. The FDA lists Suboxone as containing Buprenorphine and Naloxone, the latter of which is used to block opiates, to help prevent people from abusing them, while they are being treated with it. Thus, taking it while other opiates are still in your body could throw you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation....
I've been on buprenorphine for at least 8 years & was on loads of other stuff before that . I.V user since 1979 but haven't used h for 13 years approx. For the last two years I've been in incredible pain,in my leg groin & surrounding areas.I've been incredibly ill yet nobody took me serious.I've been dehydrating & peeing like it's going out of fashion 3-4 times an hour especially at night. The sweating & waking up cold has been ridiculous.I think I've worked it out that I shouldn't be having antagonist e.g. salt. I'm hep c & 56 years young.Does anyone agree with me that I'm having a reaction to the salt in the bups? Please let me know what you think of my theory.Best to mention I have no urge what so ever to use anything,I only need
Updated in BuprenorphineI have been taking suboxone for almost 2 years now at 3 8mg a day. I flushed my scripted,Im so sick of this drug ruining my life.I,m getting so sick within 2 days so horrible. I'm very scared and only have three subs left.I have a beautiful 3 year old and my bf is amazing but he leaves for the army in 3 days,so now i have nobody. Please help me with advice,I am petrified. My last withdrawl incident was so bad within 3 days I don't even remember half of what happened. ## It would be best to get medical help, to taper off slowly, that would help minimize the withdrawal symptoms, so they aren't so severe. As listed by the FDA, this medication is an opiate and its withdrawal symptoms may possibly include nausea, dizziness, chills, fever, rebound pain, headache and diarrhea. I kn...
