I am the wife of a pain killer addict. I am new to all this and I am so confused. My husband is now is rehab and taking something called suboxone. I am trying to figure out what suboxone is and why he needs it. I have been on suboxone for far too long and after tapering down to two milligrams I decided to stop. I feel like obviously the first week was def the most painful physically, here I am four weeks into it and the mental anguish paired with absolutely no energy led me to take about an eighth of the film. Ugh!! Now I am concerned that I will be right back at the beginning and four really long weeks will have been in vain?? All for nothing?? Any ideas? Guess I will soon find out?!... Pray for me!

Been clean from opiates, had a relapse, went to a methadone clinic but still on of course. If left up to them I would be forever with the money they're making in a private facility. So i've brought myself down to 10mg over period of time. But my question is how long does it stay in your system? I will be having to do a urine test for a job and definitely don't think or want them to know the last 2 days I have cut it down to 7mg n just plan on stopping altogether rough or not in next day or 2. (been through worse)? ## Up to a month (sometimes more) after your last dose. I know this thread is old but many on the Internet are but people still look, find and read. I took 35 mgs over the course of 3 days and 23 days later I'm still testing positive.

I was using pain pills for a few years! I have been on suboxone 4 mg for 2 yrs. I have terrible anxiety & depression & am on Cellexa & klonopin for that. That helps! I tried detoxing myself off the Suboxone 2wks ago & went thru hell, after a wk I was better. But still no sleep, achey, nauseous,headache & overall felt like bad flu. Well I relapsed & now am back on it! I want to wean myself off-But am getting my Dr to get me in an outpatient rehab-I have a 2 & 10 yr old & live with my parents. They know it all & My Mom helped me go thru the withdrawls before & had to hold me from shaking. I want off of it fast!! I'm in drug court and I can't find a clear answer on if suboxone shows up or not. Does anyone know if suboxone shows in a V- twin analyzer urine test. Buprenorphine is on the paper as a test they can check off but I've never seen it. I'm miserable without being able to take my subs. Ihave been on suboxon 8/2 for 4 months stayed off 11 days did not feel pain pill at all how long do I stay off ## If you took even a sliver of a strip during that 11 days to help with wds. then your gonna have to start your count from that day. Its roughly about 12 days but everyone is different. How much subs were you taking when you jumped off? I had a false positive ua for opiates at my methadone clinic on June 28th. I had only given the sample less then 36 hours prior to being told it tested positive for opiates. I was completly in shock! How could this be possible? I HAVEN'T used ANYTHING since December 31st, 2015, and how could they possibly have results that quick when the sample has to go all the way to SanDiego, Ca from Renton,Wa(just south of Seattle, Wa)? I demanded that the sample be retested right away and paid the $15 fee for the retest, which is suppose to be an upgraded more accurate test. I am about to start Suboxone for the second time. The first time I didn't follow the rules and began taking it before I was in withdrawals. It was awful. I want to do it right this time. They say wait until you are at least in mild withdrawals. That is different for everyone. I am terrified of taking it too early. I am snorting heroin daily. I have weened myself off to just three lines per day. The dope I get isn't good either. My question is do I need to wait until I am a complete mess? If I've been taking 10 mg of Methadone 6 times a day, is it at all possible I could give a clean urine if I haven't taken any for 60 hours? ## They have to have a specific test for methadone. Most drug tests are 5 panel tests. If they are 10 panel they usually test for it. methadone takes like a week to get completely out of your system. Especially if you have been taking it for a long period of time. ## DaddioMD is correct, to be detected, they must specifically be testing for Methadone, by running a wider panel test, it will not show up on the regular opiate tests, like Morphine or Oxycodone would. I have been on methadone for 9 months... I was up to 80 mg but have managed to get down to 20 mg over the past 5 months or so. I am wanting to get off it all together but I am so scared because I don't want to feel miserable from the wd. Since I have been on it less than a year, will the wd still be horrible? Should I go from the methadone to suboxone to make it any easier or just keep going down on the methadone? How long will the wd's last once I am off everything? I go to the clinic once a week and get take homes I am on 100mg of methadone daily. I have had the fly and thur my dose up after taking it within 5 min of swallowing it. Hi I have tried dopamine drugs, Pramipexole & so on. now Gabapentin & my symptoms are coming back in addition to side effects of this drug. Some people find Methadone a good alternative to relieve RLS for many years but I am hestant to start on it.mI just dont know what drug to move onto next as life is in the doldrums for me right now. I have been taking suboxone for about 2 months now. I am supposed to take 12mgs a day...3 doses 4 mg a piece a lot of days i do not need the 3rd dose and take 4 in the morning and 4 in the evening. Since i stoped taking painkillers i have had bad anxiety and trouble sleeping my mind seems to wonder and dwell on things when i go to bad and have had a couple anxiety attacks at work. My doctor tried buspar for 3 weeks because he does not like to give benzos with the subs. I had no relief from the buspar so today he gave me a perscription for xanax 0.5mg as need max 2 a day. He explained the possiable interaction between them and told me as long as i take them at least a couple hours apart i ahouldnt have any problems. Hello I just moved to pa 3 yrs ago.i am from nj and take methadone 80 mf a day ! It has done wonders for me and my life well dr retired and gotta find new dr and of corse can't find one! I'm 41 have the same job since I been in pa no record or nothing! I have back prob discs herniated enlarged , sciatica s etc ! Been taking 15-30mg oxycodone for months. Took a 8mg Suboxone for the first time today. Felt it very much. However, I threw up 3-4 hrs after and can't eat. Still feeling strong effects, which I should be happy about, but after 16hrs now I'm starting to get really anxious. I've been reading too much online and now I'm afraid to withdrawal or throw up in my sleep. Does anyone know the equivalent of 15-30 oxycodone to 8mg sub? What are signs of overdose? (because I can't stop nodding but afraid to fall asleep alone) Please help aid my anxiety so I can go to sleep!! When will this medication wear off? When can I go back to taking oxycodone?
