I wanna say first Im not on here tryin to be a dr people are gettin the wrong idea but unfortunately i have been on the medication for almost 5 yrs bc of shady drs(but thats another story) an know alot about the drug an thats why i am on here to try to help out others. When it comes to drug testing Suboxone does not show up as an opiate it doesn show up at all, when you go to the Dr they use a certain test that tests specifically for Suboxone.Suboxone is under the opiate category but is not actually an opiate if that makes sense, when a drug is put out on the market it has to be under a category whether its opiate, benzos, etc,so they put it under opiates, but since it really isnt an opiate it does not show up as an opiate in a drug test, its kind of complicated but if you discuss it with your...

I took Methadone in the early '90s. It works in the same manner as Suboxone, by filling up your opioid receptors. I am inclined to believe it's a government plan to make this process permanent. With prolonged use, these drugs not only block your opioid receptors but may actually cause damage, rendering them non-functional. I quit using opioids in 1992, around six months after starting Methadone. It seems to me like the government is trying to "fix" us, I assure you of that. After six months of using an inhibitor, I no longer obtain relief from narcotics. The only thing that seems to help is Xanax. Has anyone else had a similar experience? ## I believe there is a major conspiracy. After taking straight buprenorphine injections for five years, I experienced no pain, was ab...

I am down to 2mg of suboxone a day for about 6 weeks now, I take 1 mg in am and 1mg in afternoon, at around 11am (7hrs after first dose) I get this terrible headache, I have never had headaches before, it usually goes away in the evening, could this still be a form of suboxone withdrawal? Especially because I am at the home stretch woth only 2mg left to go ## Hello, Andrea! How are you? Yes, there is a chance that it could be, other withdrawal effects, as listed by the FDA may possibly include chills, diarrhea, rebound pain, anxiety and depression. However, they may be unrelated, so it would be best to have them checked out, just in case. Is there anything else I can help with?

I really wanna stop using opiates but i find that unless i am under the influence of them i have no ambition to work. I am done getting high and wanna clean my life up.I been taking subutex and find that its making me depressed. It helps me get threw the day and gives me motivation to work.I take suboxin but it makes me sick to my stomach and sometimes i vomit. Is there a way to help with these symptoms ## THe symptoms you are describing are normal side effects of the Buprenorphine that is in both Suboxone and Subutex, because it is still a narcotic opiate. However, the reason that Suboxone may be making you more nauseated is because it also contains Naloxone, which is used to help prevent the abuse of other narcotics, while someone is under treatment with this and it can throw you into...

What is the difference between the ASC\116 and the 54 labled methadone? I am used to the 54's and this time i was given the ASC's and got really nauseous.. Is there a different ingredient that would cause this? And I took the same dose..10 mlgrms\one. ## Under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, generics are allowed to differ in the amount of the active ingredient, by as much as plus or minus 20% and they do not have to measure against each other, only against the name brand, so sometimes you can end up with one that's a bit stronger and may cause more side effects than the prior one that you were taking, which could explain the nausea. The FDA warns that this medication may be habit forming and could cause other side effects, such as dizziness, drowsiness, headache, dry mouth and...

i switched from 60mgs of meth to suboxone .they suggested i wait 30 days clean from methadone . i liead it had only been 26hrs i felt like eating a bullet. its been three days on suboxone does n e one know how long it will b till i get my energy back i still have chills please help ## After you switch to subs from methadone how long until you feel good again? And does suboxone help with pain relief at all? ## I'm not sure why they told you to go from 60mgs Meth to nothing. And just ride it out for a full month before starting suboxone. Whoever was giving you this treatment seems as if they do not know what they are doing. The truth is you are to wean down to 20 mg meth for three days in a row then start suboxone on the fourth day. I still felt really bad when i did this and have use...

Is there a pink looking subutex that's oval and one side has 153 the other has a fancy looking d one and is it a 8mg? ## Hello, Rita! How are you? Yes, that is correct, it is manufactured by Actavis and that is actually meant to be a half moon logo. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Buprenorphine has been brought up in discussions, but all info I've located has said that this is not available in the USA. Small white round pill 176 AS can't make out the last letter after the AS Please, I found this outside of my child's door, I don't know if, it is his, but, I need to know what is just in case. ## Is the marking possibly ASC 116? If so, the tablet is manufactured by Ascend Laboratories and they list it as containing 10mgs of Methadone. This medication is commonly used to treat drug addiction and pain. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation.

I went to the hospital and they gave me suboxone orange pill 8 mg and I took it and I am suppose to follow up at the clinic tomorrow. But I got home and about 6 hours later and I was in total withdraws, so I took some opiates. I didn't want to but I was so sick. Why didn't the suboxone work for me? ## Hello, Sally! How are you doing? How soon did you take the Suboxone, after having taken other opiates? You must be in full withdrawal from them, before taking it, or it may throw you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation.

I was on Suboxone for 8 years extremely successful. Totally took my life back, everything was wonderful. Prior authorization started and my doctor handed me my last script and was like good luck. I went to clinic after clinic, fell off the wagon taking Suboxone as it was throwing me into the worst withdrawals, so I would keep giving up. I'm to the point I can't take it anymore. I'm down to very little or nothing and I just want to start my Suboxone. I went and got my script yesterday but I can't f****** go through the withdrawal for 3 Days to take it. Will I be in horrible shape on a quarter of a milligram of opiates a day? And furthermore they're telling me to take one 8 milligram strip twice a day, should I do that? ## What opiate have you been taking? A quarter mg...

I been on subutec for 2 yrs now my dr wants to switch me to suboxone is it safe to switch i mean doing 3 subutec today and going to suboxone tomorrow its crazy ## Hello, Joe! How are you? Yes, you can do a straight switch from one to the other. They both contain Buprenorphine, but Suboxone also contains Naloxone to help prevent someone from abusing other narcotics, while being treated with it. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Suboxone is the preferred choice, unless a woman is pregnant, or the person is allergic to the Naloxone, so most doctor's are switching their patients. Is th...

IT MAKES ME FEEL SICK NOT ANYTHING LIKE MALLINCKRODT METHADONE. ## Hello, Danette! How are you? There can be variations in the amount of the active ingredient when going from one generic to another, as permitted under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, so this one may have just enough of a fluctuation to cause more side effects. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Have you informed your doctor? They may know of some way to alleviate the nausea. ## It is not the same. It makes you feel like your wd'ing in half the time of its alternative.
