I went to the hospital and they gave me suboxone orange pill 8 mg and I took it and I am suppose to follow up at the clinic tomorrow. But I got home and about 6 hours later and I was in total withdraws, so I took some opiates. I didn't want to but I was so sick. Why didn't the suboxone work for me?

How soon did you take the Suboxone, after having taken other opiates?
You must be in full withdrawal from them, before taking it, or it may throw you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals.
The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation.
