I have had liquid methadone bottles in my safe for over a year now and needed to know if they expire? ## Yes, all medications expire, but that does not mean they become dangerous, they just start to lose efficacy. Overall, the FDA advises that you dispose of them and see your doctor, if you need a new supply. This medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have a bottle of methadone and it said to take it all on the 6th and I didn’t and it’s the 14th now it expires on 12/31/17 can I still take the lil bit that’s left ## I get 27 bottles to go at my clinic, all dispensed on the same date. They are effective beyond the last da...

Yes, they are Subutex 153 half moon and the are shaped like a surf board. They work way better then Suboxone strips. People keep saying they cut the strips into millions of pieces, if that is the case you don't need them in the first place. This new one orange Subutex 153 half moon surf board shape ones last way longer, and work great (oh my god they work so great!) I recommend them to anyone using the white ones or the strips, they both suck compared to the new ones. Take it of leave it but it's the truth. If you take just a half it will last you two days...unreal. ## For these subutex do they taste disgusting like the strips. As of May 1st our physician decided not to do subutex anymore. Luckily I just had my baby I am worried about breastfeeding. An hate the taste of Suboxone...

This is generic subutex, not suboxone, which means that it contains only buprenorphine. Suboxone has naloxone as well to discourage patients from abusing the pill. The exclusive patent rights for the drug expired in Oct. of '09. ## Thank you for providing this information, that's what many places are identifying it as, 8mgs of Buprenorphine, the generic for Subutex, but it is new and not listed in any of the databases, yet. Along with treating narcotic addiction, it can also be used to treat cases of severe, chronic pain. ## I love this drug. I'm off oxy now for 10 months and I have subs to thank for it ! I miss the euphoric feeling but I also don't miss spending 350 a day. God bless subutex ! ## I was a heroin addict for two years. Smoking 1 to 2 grams a day. I tried to...

I need help. I live in Knoxville Tennessee. ## Hello. I've talked to a couple doctors and I remember 2 or 3 of them but I did not put any information down, I forgot. I just need to know which suboxone doctors are cheapest on a monthly basis? Can you please let me know their names and the prices per month? Thank you. {edited for privacy} ## I am very sorry, but there is no available database of doctors current fee schedule that can be posted for you, I'm also not away of any free ones for the original poster. Joey, can you contact them, again, to ask? Suboxone is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. ## I'm trying to get help as well.

You don't have to be in withdrawal to take subutex. Been on it for 6 years. I always read this garbage from people that don't have a damn clue, passing on info they are just regurgitating. ## Hello, tmoney! How are you? That is correct and thank you for posting. Sometimes, people may feel minor withdrawal symptoms, because Buprenorphine tends to be stronger in gripping onto the opiate receptors, so it kicks out other stuff someone may have taken. But, if doesn't cause the dangerous precipitated withdrawals, in most cases, that people can experience if they take Suboxone too soon, due to the Naloxone that's in it. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may c...

I had nothing but great experiences when I was on Sublocade and I thought it was very effective in treating my dependency on pain medication. I had a lot of abdominal surgeries over the years and became dependent on Dilaudid. This medication helped me get off Dilaudid for good without any really withdraws. That being said, I’m having issues with how long it stayed in my system and is still in my system when I take drug screens at work and I haven’t had an injection in almost 2 years. I have not abused a drug, I have not taking anything that would be a false positive for this medication, I was on the injection for a year before I got off I was on 300mg sublocade shot once a month for about nine months then they lowered it to 100mg for three months and I was off. Again, it was...

I am under contract with my PCP for oxycodone and ms contin (morphine). A recent urine screen showed positive for Methadone! I have never taken this however, I do take wellbutrin and vistiril prescribed by said PCP. She called me into her office, told me about the test and dismissed me as a patient. She gave me 1 month worth of scripts and sent me walking. Needless to say, I've been extremely upset knowing this is in my system and my doctor doesn't care. Is it possible that any of these or a combination of any would show up as methadone? ## Not if the test was CONFIRMED properly. ## Benadryl can cause false posive for methadone tell them send it in to lab

Can you feel the effects of marijuana while on suboxone? I heard you could. ## Yes you can. You can feel the effects of pretty much anything else that is not an opiate. Just FYI ## Yes u can.... I'm still trying to recover from a bad high that was awful last night. ## It's for the treatment of opiate addiction or pain relief. ## Yes you will feel high but only for a few minutes. I'm on subutex for chronic pain for life but also have my cannabis card. Sadly, using cannabis sublingual or eating edibles, will NOT work. I've eaten up to 300 mgs and nothing. That's insane. 1 gram of butter properly decarbed, should be all I need to be pain free and locked in my couch for 8-24 hours!!!! We thought and hoped it was the nalaloxone blocking it, so I switched from suboxone str...

I NEED TO KNOW WHERE IN MISSISSIPPI THERE IS A DOCTOR WHO PRESCRIBES METHADONE? ## hey i am in the same boat as you man....i am thinking about just driving to the clinic in memphis, even tho it is 80 miles away one way, but its better than going through this withdrawl. ## @pj and jj, In regards to finding a local pain doctor, I have listed below a couple websites specific to locating pain management doctors in a given area. All you have to do is input your city or zip code for narrowed results: {link removed because site no longer exists} You can give this other page a try too if you come up with different results for some reason or another: wellness.com/find/pain%20management%20specialist Many of the results you find (in one or both of the links above) also list a phone number for that...

Is anyone living in Alabama getting pill cuts of methadone? My doctor told me it was because of Governor Bentley signing in new opiate restriction for all pain doctors. (Not Clinics). Is anyone else going through this pill cut? I have never failed a drug panel nor have any of my pill counts been off. I know I have done nothing wrong so I just wanted to see if anyone else is being cut also... (I was wondering if maybe my doctor may have got in trouble and this is why but I don't know)? ## Hello, Sami! How are you? It is actually a directive that was issued by the DEA and applies all over the U.S. They have requested that everyone be put on no more than the equivalent of 120mgs of Morphine a day and some states have lowered it even further to no more than the equivalent of 100mgs of M...

I really need to try to find a new pain doctor that is closer to me. I love the doctors there they have been wonderful to me. I have been going for 5 years and now for the last 8 months I have driving myself and I really have not built up enough strength after having neck surgery. The problems I have now wont go away and I just cannot function normally I have problems with walking very far, I cant stand up more than a few minutes, and on a really good day I can curl my hair. Methadone has helped me more than any other medication, and it don't hurt my stomach I have learned to accept it I just wish it wasn't so hard to get the medication that helps me to function and not hurt so bad surely there is a few good doctors that care about what helps the patients at least that is what I...

I became highly allergic to sulfa drugs after being hospitalized for cellitus in my hand they pump me full of bactrim and I turned beat red and could barely breath...I was having weird tingling in my feet like when something falls asleep..hard to breath..doctor came in and said avoid sulfa drugs. My insurance refuses to pay for white subs and the orange get ones make me sick, rash on my neck...light headed...so the main drug in suboxone is acesulfame....an atrifificle sweetner.. ## Hello Jen! How are you? I am sorry about the experiences you've had with these medications. Acesulfame is not the main drug in Suboxone, as an artificial sweetener, it is considered an inactive ingredient. The active ingredients in Suboxone are Buprenorphine, and Naloxone. It is an opiate that is used to ...

Im in an addiction treatment program and I'm taking two 8/2 mg strips a day. I've been a slave to opiates for approximately 25 years. I've reached the point of being fed up with being dependent on pain pills to function. my addiction dr suggested trying to find a pain management dr who would treat my chronic pain with suboxone. It does alleviate my pain ...or might I say ..makes me functional and the pain tolerable. is this an actual option? I've done research on this and have gotten mixed reviews on the subject. I trust this site and follow it daily so I'm asking for some information and suggestions. I function better on suboxone than on oxycodone dilaudid or morphine (I've been prescribed them all plus some others) give me some feedback. What should I do or is ...

I take 12mg of suboxone a day and it keeps me level headed and happy for the most part. It’s saved my life, but it doesn’t completely ameliorate my urges to use. Sometimes I wonder if Methadone would work better. I’ve heard a lot of good things about Methadone. Has anybody out there switched from suboxone to Methadone? ## Most people usually end up switching the other way, they go from Methadone to Suboxone, since it has been known to enable people to eventually become drug free, while Methadone is highly addictive, and know to be hard to ever taper off it, so most people must take a lifelong maintenance dose of it. (Suboxone NDC 12496-1212, Methadone NDC 0054-4571.) Have you spoken to your prescriber? You should be able to go up on your Suboxone, for awhile, to help w...

I've been taking Suboxones for the last year and my doctor has been bringing me down every visit. Once a month I'm at .5 a strip except I can't get down that low. I'm out now and feel like garbage on day 3. If I am going to go through it now I'm wondering what will help to do it? ## Hello, Tausha! How are you feeling? I know opiate withdrawals can be terrible. According to FDA reports you may experience nausea, diarrhea, rebound pain, muscle cramps, headaches, and insomnia. Ref: Medline Plus Opiate Withdrawals It is normal for a doctor to eventually taper a patient off of Suboxone. Has your doctor suggested anything to help? When I came off of high doses of opiates from being on pain management, it was pretty miserable. I took Tylenol for the aches, and pains, and of...

I'm on day 15 of no Suboxone. I took a low dose of 1/2 mg a day, if needed, for 18 mos. I never took more than that at any time. I jumped & didn't taper b/c I felt w/d at 1/4 mg anyway. It's not getting any better & I'm beginning to wonder if things will ever swing upward. My RLS is pathetic. It's even in my arms & I feel like flailing my hands, as if it'll escape out my fingers. I can't stand for it to be quiet & I'm so nervous every single second of the day. I can't relax, let alone sleep. However, I'm fortunate to have access to Neurontin & my dentist husband gave me an Rx for Tramadol today. (Hard to imagine this would actually be worse if I didn't have these.) I'm eating well, keeping myself hydrated, using Benadry...

I've been using Mylan Labs for about 3 1/2 years and now they're on back order indefinitely. I went to another drug store that carries Rhodes Buprenorphine 2mg Sublingual. No one else could get the Mylan Labs, so I tried Rhodes and at first, I had problems, but I had to get the Mylan get out of my system partially, but now it's just as good, if not better than Mylan. My question is, does anyone know if Rhodes is going to be on back order? I'm screwed if both pharma's are, because Hi-Tech/Akorn labs carry it, but they suck so bad! Thanks in advance! ## Hi it's hard to say if the new Rhodes will be on back order. I'm thinking knot. They are still fairly new a lot of Pharmacy's don't even know they exist. Do they make an orange Subutex? Is that available? ## I just got my script filled this month for subutex. I used to get the white tablet with an arrow and 8 on each side. Today I got 8mg Orange oblonged shaped with 153 and a moon on it. They are pretty big compared to what I was getting. Same thing except they just don't dissolve as quickly and have a different taste. So apparently they do make orange ones, just found out today. ## Just for added confirmation - yes, it is true that they do make an orange oblong/oval generic 8mg Subutex (Buprenorphine hydrochloride) sublingual tablet with 153 on one side and the Actavis' half moon logo on the other. This tablet also contains the following set of inactive ingredients (binders/fillers), which may be different than what you might...

There are two of us males, early thirties. One of us underwent major back surgery three years ago and has been addicted to pain medication for a total of five years. I have been addicted for about three years just from simply being his main caretaker and dipping into the cookie jar a few to many times like an idiot. We went back to our general doctor (same guy) and explained that we are both full fledged addicts. We told him we have been obtaining Methadone off the street as is seems to be the only thing that works. He asked us what we where getting off the street and we told him Methadone. His response was, "Well that's the smartest thing you have done so far, because of its extremely long effect on the body". We told him we need his help, that we just have no money left an...

I need to know the name of the doctor in Johnson City Tennessee who prescribes Subutex and benzo's at the same time I am interested in maintenance. ## Most Drs won't prescribe the two together. Because they both are downers. A lot of people dont know that. They lower your respiration. Finding a dr that will prescribe the two will be difficult. You can always seek a primary care or Ive heard some place called Graceland that would write the benzos and just find another doctor for addiction purposes solely. ## Restoration and wellness is located on Susanna Drive in Johnson City the doctor's name is dr.
