Okay guys, I need some feedback and fast. I am only 25 and I have severe TMJ I live in Mobile, AL and because my condition is so severe I have to go to Birmingham (5 hours away) to see a doctor that is qualified to handle it. Because of Alabama Drug laws. A doctor in a different city has to have seen you to prescribe you Narcotic pain medication. I was going to Birmingham about once every 2-3 weeks to get my prescriptions filled but that was getting costly so my doctor referred me to a Pain Management Specialist here. Without even looking at my MRIs or surgery history he put me on Suboxone, and told me it was a strong pain medication. I took it for about 3 weeks then went to see my Oral surgeon in Birm. He was furious he told me that Suboxone was for people with a dependancy problem and...

Wondering what kind of pill this is? It has an M inside a box on one side and N8 on the other side. It's also orange and hexagon-shaped. ## Hello Barry, I hope you are doing well. I have found some information on your pill. The imprint of the M inside of a box is the mark of the company Mallinckrodt. I was able to find the manufacturers website and fortunately they have pictures of all of their generic medicines. The only pill that matches your description is an orange, hexagonal (6 sided) tablet with imprint 8N M, indicating Buprenorphine and Naloxone Sublingual Tablets. It looks like the marking is actually 8N, easily read upside down as N8. (NDC 0406-8020). Inactive Ingredients: - Acesulfame Potassium - Anhydrous Citric Acid - FD&C Yellow No. 6 - Anhydrous Lactose - Lactose M...

I'm on 75 mg methadone and I want to stop on my own because it seems my counselor wants me on forever. Can I do it myself being on an anxiety med? ## T Chang, it is very difficult 4 a lot of people 2 taper off of methadone on their own. It should b done slowly and under supervision. I was on (110) of methadone and got down to (24). I was in such bad withdrawals, I thought I was going 2 die. I ended up at my Doctors in tears. He put me on suboxone that day and I felt so much better. Anyway, I REALY WOULDNT recommend u doing it your self. ## P.S. U have the right 2 get off the methadone if u want. Just let you're Doctor or counselor know when u r ready. They will taper u down the right way. So, u won't go through bad withdrawals. ## Are you on methadone or have you come off it...

You can search for a doctor in you area via the website Suboxone.com click here. However, you'll need to contact them to see if they're accepting new patients and what insurances they accept. Can you take Loricet and 140 mg. of methadone together? ## What has your doctor suggested? When treating chronic pain, a regular or immediate release medication is often coupled with a regular or controlled release medication, to enable better pain control. In such instances, yes, combinations such as Lorcet and Methadone might be used together, depending on the person, their condition and their tolerance to medications. ## i was on methadone for 4 years and my husband for almost 7 years now but i switched to suboxone about 3 years ago..anyway yes you can take those meds together but the only thing is you wont feel high from it because the methadone has a blocker in it it blocks out the effect from any kind of opiates (pain pills) beleive me when i was on methadone i have tried it all p...

I've been on the Butrans patches now for 2 months. I started on 5mg & now I'm on 20mg. I also have Amitriptyline 10mg per day which eventually will go up to 50mg... I also have Tramadol when needed... I was put on Gabapentin but they made me too dopey & they was not good for my Epilepsy either. I felt really ill off them. I suffer from nerve pain as well as stiffness and the Butrans helps with the stiffness; they don't take the major pain away but they do help... I just wish I could stop itching, it's driving me nuts. So if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. TY. ## Try using a cold pack - relieves the itching (for me, at least) instantly ## What type of itching are you experiencing? As in, is it localized to the area of the patch, or is all over your...

I broke my leg 2 years ago and now have a heel spur, arthritis on the top of my foot and a pinched nerve aka CRPS (Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome) in my ankle. I am hopefully getting a spinal cord stimulator surgically installed in a couple months. I truly don't know how much longer I can handle the pain. I take 16mg of Suboxone everyday, I want to ask my doctor if he can switch me to a strong opiate for the next couple months and then switch back to Suboxone but wean off in a week instead of long term maintenance. I know Suboxone helps with pain but surely an opiate will be stronger? ## Yeah it definitely would, I don’t think you can easily make the switch though. I know that when I withdrew from regular pain medication withdrawal was over in a few days, I mean it took a full...

I take 165 mgs of methadone everyday and i have gained alot of weight since. I got Lipozene to lose the weight. Is it safe to take them together?? ## Hello, Lori! How are you? Lipozene is a supplement, not an actual medication, so it has not been studied to check for possible interactions with prescription drugs. Have you checked with your doctor? They may have some idea of whether or not it would be safe. ## I would like to know if I could take lipozene and methadone together, I am currently taking 80 mgs of methadone a day. I need to know if I could add lipozene and methadone together? ## Wondering if you ever found out an answer because I have the same question I am on 90 mg of methadone and just started taking Lipozene. And I'm just wondering if they would effect each other ## I...

I’ve been taking 8mg subutex (54s) for about a year. Today I took half a pill didn’t think much of it as it felt the same but then noticed they were RP b8. Does anyone have any info on the difference? Since I’ve noticed I’m all worried if they are weaker, stronger, the same? If anyone has any answers I’d greatly appreciate it! Thanks ## Hello Miss, According to the NIH both pills are buprenorphine 8mg tablets so it should be the same strength. The reason the imprint is different is the pills are from different generics/brands. There are multiple different generics that have both imprints and if you would like me to give you more information on the differences between the two I would need to know the generic/brand of each. From there I can give you a more in...

It sounds like you might be experiencing some withdrawal symptoms, so you may need a higher dose of the Methadone. Why was your medication changed? Were the others not working for you? This medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## If iam on 16mgs of surboxon how much methadone can I have and can I take it the next day I've only been on surboxone...

I have had a couple of bad colds and the flu over the last 6 months. I took NyQuil b cause it's a multi symptom cold and flu reliever. What a surprise when I took it with the suboxone, it helped me better with the pain I expierence. I suffer from multiple medical problems and had many surgeries. Now, I'm not saying 2 go and do this 4 nothing, but, it has really helped me. ( maybe, b cause of the liquid acetaminophen in it. Has anyone else done this or noticed it? ## To the OP and anyone reading this thread - it is technically not safe to take suboxone with nyquil because the buprenorphine interacts with multiple ingredients found in it. You may experience increased dizziness, drowsiness, confusion, or worse yet, a rare but serious condition called serotonin syndrome [1]. Definit...

It is a side effect of methadone on the constipation & retaining water (edema). Try taking a stool softener like colace two every night. If that don't help take a mild laxative also. Can anyone tell me about Methadone please? ## Found this quote in another newsgroup: ------------ In blind trials, users who were given both drugs orally were unable to distinguish between the effects heroin and methadone. Withdrawal from heroin should be over after seven to ten days. Withdrawal from methadone though, can take up to a month or even longer. Many former heroin users have claimed that the horrors of heroin withdrawal were far less painful and difficult than withdrawal from methadone. Methadone is a synthetic drug. It was first invented in Germany during the Second World War by scientists who, having discovered pethidine some years earlier, were developing other similar compounds. The effects of methadone last longer than those of morphine-based drugs. Methadone's effec...

Can not find pharmacy again that has 8 mg buprenorphine by Roxanne Labs. Have a prescription but can not find a place to fill it in the Pittsburgh area. This is crazy, why does every place that carries them for a while stop. We are paying a small fortune for them. ## Hello, Jay! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem you're having. Since this is a generic, which one a pharmacy carries may vary at any time, depending on who was offering the cheapest price, via their distributor, whenever they needed to restock their supply. Is there a special reason it has to be the one from Roxane? The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness,...

Maybe im crazy but i don't like the strips, i just don't feel they work as well as the pills. I never ran short with the pills, but the strips i seem to take more. Anyone else feel this way? My dr said she'll only prescribe the strips and it's all in my head. ## Hello, Terisita! How are you? You're not the only one that has said this, it just seems that different formulations work better for different people. However, if you stuck with the strips at the amount you're supposed to take, then your body would likely adjust after a week or so. The only other suggestion I can make if you're not happy is that you try to find a different doctor. Does anyone else have any suggestions? ## Hi, I,m the other way around.
