And , why one doctor would prescribe one over the other? ## Hello, Cats68! How are you? Subutex contains the active ingredient Buprenorphine, but Suboxone couples it with Naloxone to prevent the abuse of other narcotics, while someone is being treated with it. Thus, that also explains why some doctors prefer one over the other. This is a narcotic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Dear Verwon, I now understand the difference b tween them. But why would one doctor use one over the other? Can people still feel the effects of opiates on subtext, b cause it doesn...
Please help me find a subutex Dr. That accepts tenncare medicare for office payment. ## im lookinmg for a subutex dr in nashville who doesnt have to have insurance ## In Nashville, look up Dr. Arnett. He has many Suboxone/subtex clinics in the area. Call one of the hospitals, like Vandy or St. Thomas; they can usually point you in the right direction. Also, there's a buprenorphine patch available. (Same drug that's in Subutex). If you had problems with Suboxone, it could be the narcan mixed in with it to keep it from being abused. ## Dr. Cruz and Turning Point Recovery prescribes Subutex. My gf is on it. both places in Memphis and very close to Memphis. ## I found out I'm pregnant recently and I now have insurance. I'm looking for a sub clinic that will accept my insuran...
I was prescribed and took Suboxone Films for 3 years, and tolerated them very well. Unfortunately, my insurance stopped paying for the films, and I had to start taking the generic Suboxone tablets (Buprenorphine/Naloxone 8/2mg sublingual tablets). I filled my first prescription at Rite Aid, where they gave me the hard, orange tablets made by "Amneal", with the imprint "AN 415". I went into withdrawal the second day after beginning those pills. That was the worst month of my life, as that medication did absolutely nothing beneficial. This month, I took my prescription to CVS, where I was given peach colored tablets with the imprint of "54 375", manufactured by "Roxane". While this brand is slightly better than the Amneal brand, I am still having adverse ef...
I am being prescribed methadone for opiate addiction been of all other drugs for 4 years I'm in the process of trying to have weight loss surgery and trying to find out if they will let me have it done since I'm on methadone? ## Hello, Brandy! How are you? Have you talked to the doctor or clinic that would be doing the surgery? There is a chance that you may not be able to, since if you're planning something like stomach banding, it can affect how some medications are absorbed. ## It puts you at greater risks for complications with anesthesia. For elective surgery it is a risk most drs would rather not take. Talk to your surgeon. ## I am having Gastic Sleeve surgery and have been on 110 mg of Methadone for 10 months. My surgeon has been wonderful. All is OK with anethesia an...
I live in Bradenton FL and I have been going to the local methadone clinic here for almost 2yrs now and I'm OVER IT!!! Yesterday I was forced to miss my best friends funeral in GO solely because this clinic would not give me travel doses only guest dosing 80 mile round trip from where I wld be at. I am on medicaid and it doesn't cover out of state so we were going to have to pay $110 for both my husband and I for only 2 days!!!! On top of that they wouldn't even accept credit card so I was unable to go. I need to find a doctor locally who would be willing to write me a script of methadone monthly and aide me in tapering off my dose. I was on 177 mg a day and started tapering after this last Christmas 6 months ago. I am now at 66 mg and counting. (This was one of the reasons ...
Can a Methadone patient detox with Suboxone and what mg dose do they need to do if they are currently on 30 mg Methadone a day? And what's the procedure? Like, do they have to taper the Methadone down first, and by doing, so do they go through any withdrawal symptoms? ## Each individual is likely going to have a very different withdrawal experience due to several factors, such as tolerance to pain, reaction/tolerance to these types of medications, one's body chemistry, mental fortitude, and so forth... However it doesn't really sound like you'd be detoxing (withdrawing) much at all if your just going from one synthetic opiate to another. (Suboxone and Methadone are both used to treat patients with opioid dependency or addiction). The only thing I would strongly recommend...
I've only taken 1 mg of Soboxone a day since I was prescribed it three years ago. Now I want to quit. I started tapering and am at .25 twice a day. I plan on going down to .125 mg in a couple days.Has anyone had a similar experience and should I expect for withdrawals to be easy since I've never taken more then 1 mg? ## I tried (UNSUCCESSFULLY) for almost a year to get off suboxone!! I managed to get down to mere grains (probably 1/16th of a tablet) a day for three months.. Three days after I quit completely I felt horrible. Not physically but it's like my mind was so down I could even get off my sofa to feed my fish that were six steps away! I hate this dependence and wish I had never used it as long as I have (4yrs). Unless I am able to have no obligations like a career I ...

Earley, M.D. 5448 Yorktowne Drive Atlanta, GA 30349 (678)251-3327 Michael Clark Hilton, M.D. 3975 Roswell Road Atlanta, GA 30342 (404)352-4001 Pamela Raj, M.D. 275 Carpenter Drive Suite 101 Atlanta, GA 30328 (404)252-4673 Let me know if none of these doctors work out for you so I can post back with more options in your area. I have been on methadone for 10 years for fibro. I take 60-100 mgs a day. I have recently begun taking garcinia cambogia, green coffee bean and raspberry ketones for weight loss. Though they have been working, (I've lost 20 lbs) I've noticed about 1-2 hrs after taking them I start to withdraw. It doesn't matter if it's been 2 hrs or 10 hrs since my last methadone dose, my body acts like it's been 14+hrs as the anxiety clamps on like a vice and the nose turns into a faucet. Does anyone know if there is a withdrawal interaction or if this is just coincidence and I got a bad batch of methadone? ## I have noticed the same thing. Two times now, after taking this supplement for 4-7 days, I have come into a debilitating withdrawal. I was searching online to see if others ha...
I am almost 14 weeks pregnant. I want to stop taking my Suboxone completely, but have heard it can cause premature labor if stopped too far into pregnancy. My doctor also said that withdrawals can not cause miscarriage or hurt the unborn baby in any lasting ways. I have been taking 2mg of subutex (now Suboxone) for the past week. Am I okay to cease all Suboxone use, or should I wait another week or so? ## From what I am reading, using it while pregnant is not advised, because it can cause withdrawal symptoms in the baby. As to any other details, there really aren't any. It's used during pregnancy has never actually be studied. As to whether or not you should stop taking it, I am afraid I have to defer to your doctor on this one, since they do know your medical history. Following ...
I found some suspicious pills in my boyfriend's bag. He is a recovering opioid addict, so this has me alarmed. He does take a ton of supplements & vitamins. These were hidden in a black jewelry bag in a backpack… No markings on these pills. Anyone know what they could be? ## If there are no markings, we can rule it out as being any type of prescription medication. As noted here the FDA requires them all to have unique imprints to help enable their identification in case of emergency. The imprint must enable them to be identified according to medication, dosage, and manufacturer. If there are no markings, it is most likely something that is available over the counter, such as a supplement, unless he has access to foreign medications. Is there anything else I can help with?
Does meijer pharmacy carry 54-411 subutex or M 9-24? Walmart was out of 54-411 and I cant take the M 9-24 version. The pharmacy wouldn't tell me. ## Yes you can, you just don't want to. This is a perfect example of why there are so many rules and laws and restrictions because people abuse, break the rules, and don't do what they're supposed to. It doesn't matter what a Subutex looks like. Period. They all do the same thing unless you are administering your medication intravenously, in which case eventually you will get caught and you will lose your doctor. Most abusers want the 54s. It's just like when I see people say they're allergic to orange ones and small ones, LMFAO. They're literally the same thing, same mlg, same ingredient, just look different. I...
I tested positive for suboxin and methadoane at rehab and im probation and im already being revoked but seems how I tested positive for this will my probation officer put me in jail the next time I go see her ## HELP! I have NEVER taken Suboxone in my life. I've never even seen it in real life. After 5 years of clean urine screens for pain management, I suddenly tested positive for it in June. I swore to my doctor I hadn't taken Suboxone or anything else not prescribed to me (because it was and is true) he said he had never seen a false positive but that he was inclined to believe me and would run more specific tests. I went back in a few days ago and he said that I had tested positive a second time, that Suboxone contains a very specific molecule that cannot be misidentified an...
Pharmacies in WV that will fill my subutex that aren't to pricey and they have to be accepting new clients. ## Good luck, most people are having to drive to Pa or DC to fill their prescriptions. Email me {edited for privacy} ## I'm in need of a new pharmacy. The one I was going to quit carrying them. If anyone knows of any around wv or pa please let me know. ## I live in WV and go to PA to the doc. But I can't find a pharmacy in either state to fill a prescription for Buprenorphine 8mg tabs. Any info on possible pharmacies that carry these would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! ## I am having the same problem. Did. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!! CAN SOMEONE/ANYONE THAT LIVES IN OR WITHIN A 20 MILE RADIUS OF CHARLOTTE, NC HELP ME PLEASE TO FIND A DOCTOR WHO CAN PRESCRIBE SUBOXONE THAT ACCEPTS MEDICAID AND IS ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS AT THIS TIME!!! I AM HAVING A VERY HARD TIME FINDING A NEW DOCTOR THAT ACCEPTS MEDICAID AND THAT IS ACTUALLY ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS AS WELL. IF YOU WANT TO READ A LITTLE BIT ABOUT MY PERSONAL SITUATION, FEEL FREE TO CONTINUE READING PLEASE, I JUST NEED A NEW DOCTOR. I have been prescribed 24 mg. of Suboxone for a little over 3 years now, and I have just been dismissed from my Suboxone Doctor whom I have been seeing since April of this year (2014) for having THC in my U/A that was having to submit to every month that I saw this particular doctor. The doctor I was seeing before this d...
I have been going to a methadone clinic for 8yrs everyday. I would like to have a dr write me methadone. I have chronic back pain and it's been 5 days without my methadone. I can't think, focus or sleep and take care of my 8yr old. Please help me find a dr in Macon, Georgia. ## Hello, Angela! How are you? Unfortunately, a private practice doctor cannot legally prescribe it for you, so a clinic remains your only option. I understand this information doesn't help your situation and I'm sorry that I don't have better news for you. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I suffer fro...
Why was I ok after days 1 thru 8, but by day 9 and 10 my legs hurt, I cant sleep and I'm having weird thoughts? ## All medications carry the risk of causing side effects and, in most cases, it can take awhile for all of them to start affecting you and it could take 4 to 5 weeks to go away, once your body gets used to the medication. Other side effects, as reported by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, and constipation. If they become severe, or don't go away, you should consult your doctor. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi. I've been on 8mg of subutex daily for about 2-3 weeks. I've started feeling more drowsy the longer I've been on it. I had an opioid addiction prior to having been prescribed buprenorphine. What should I do? I ...
My daughter is on suboxone and takes klonopin and neurontin. Is there a toxic interaction between these when taken together? ## Hello, Linnie! How is your daughter? I didn't find any listed, so it should be fine, as long as they've all been prescribed for her and her doctor is monitoring her regularly. Both the Klonopin and Suboxone can increase sedation, but that is the only issue listed, according to the FDA. They also carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause other side effects, such as dry mouth, dizziness and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## You are wrong. Klonopin and Suboxone mixed together can cause death and seizures. Neurontin is ok with Suboxone. Dr's prescribe Suboxone for addictions. To get people off of opioids. Dr's in WV....
I take Benadryl for allergies daily. I'm also taking Suboxone. Recently I gave a urine and my councilor told me it came up neg for the Suboxone. I take 12 mg daily and have never missed a day in the last three years. Could the Benadryl cause this result in my urine ? Has this ever happened to anyone else. I'm frustrated because I'm being suspected of diverting my med and I have done nothing wrong. ## This is a follow up to an earlier post. I was informed that I had a neg result for suboxone in a UA. My counselor told me it was neg and I couldn't do anything about it. I was persistent that I take my meds EVERY day. My counselor has the lab reevaluate my urine. The result came back for Suboxone. The lab admitted they made a mistake. I urge anybody who finds themselves in a...
What company makes these ASC 116 and when did they come out on the market? ## January, 2012 ## That date is correct and the manufacturer is Ascend Laboratories, LLC. (NDC 67877-0116) ## What is the difference between this pill and the 10mg methadone white round pill labled 54/142 and scored on the other side, is it just the manufacturer? I usually get the 54/ 142 and pay about $22 for 150 I had to go to a different pharmacy this month and they gave me the ascertain 116 ones and charged me $90 for the same 150!! I mean I don't have insurance but this seems outrageous. Could it maybe just have been the pharmacy I went to? Also, I want to make sure there wont be a difference in my pain management on these pills. Thanks ## hey these are made by ascend labs and there relatively new but t...
