What is the purpose of this drug? ## I have been given this so called clofen 10 and with the problems I've got I should never have been put on them. I suffer with these problems and I get prescribed this crap to make me feel even worse... 3M has discontinued making Norgesic Forte. I am trying to find out why as I have taken this medication for years? Additionally, I am trying to find out if any generic forms of aspirin, caffeine, & orphenadrine (Norgesic Forte) exist? ## I was prescribed tizanidine for muscle pain will this medication trigger my anxiety ## I wouldn't think it would. Everyone is different but this is a muscle relaxer and therefore has some sedating properties associated with it. If anything I would think it may calm you down some. I've taken it for years and never had an issue with it causing anxiety ## How are you doing on it, Susie? I took a soma the day before my urine test. Will it show up? Also, I have a script for oxycodone with acetaminophen in it but was out and I took hydrocodone. Will it show up the same as oxycodone? ## Soma contains the active ingredient Carisoprodol, it is a muscle relaxant and, as such, it is not a substance that is tested for on urine drug tests. As to the Hydrocodone, no, there is a very good chance that the test they do will show exactly what you took and they will know it wasn't Oxycodone, due to the different metabolites in your urine. There are some basic tests that only show that someone took a narcotic opiate, but they are very rarely used. ## If soma is not a drug that they test for how come mine showed up? My brother has liver disease and one doctor prescribed him flexeril and a different doctor prescribed him zanaflex. Is it safe to take both meds? It seems to me like he should be taking one or the other. ## You are correct, since they are both muscle relaxants, he should only be taking on or the other, depending on which works best for him. The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of causing side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. Was either doctor aware that one had already been prescribed for him? I've been taking the muscle relaxers flexeril 10mg 2x a day and or methocarbamol 750mg 3-4x a day. Neither of them work. What is the strongest relaxer I can ask my dr for. So my husband took some Baclofen thinking it was ibuprofen. He started getting really drowsy so I checked out the bottle to make sure it was ibuprofen and the bottle read Baclofen. He took two 20 mg doses, and it was expired from 2 yrs ago. What could happen since he took 2 and they're expired? ## In many cases, expired meds are just fine (depending on how long it's been expired and how well they've been stored). However, if he hasn't made any signs of improvement since the timing of your post, I would probably encourage you to contact a local pharmacy and/or poison control (available 24/7 at 1-800-222-1222); and in worst case scenarios, the emergency room. I have been on antidepressants, Cymbalta, Lamictal, Ambien & Klonopin. I'm am currently off ambien now and weaning Klonopin, soon to be off. No complaints. My only trouble with Trazodone is major headaches. I do stress exercises daily for chronic low back pain and surgery for l1 fracture. I've just come off five 10/325 norco to 15 mg ms contin 3 a day. My pain is better but not fully controlled. I'm very aware of addiction and dependence, so the less controlled substance the better. What I'm looking for is advice. Is there a rebate card available for Soma? I have ins. but it's still an expensive co-pay. ## Um I get 90 pills for about $1.92, Soma is very inexpensive, on the Walmart $4.00 list ## I have a pinched nerve in my left shoulder and it goes across and down my back causing my muscle to stand up on my shoulder and it's painful and burns. I'm having basically a terrible frozen right shoulder from severe muscle spasms. I was offered a 6 milligram pill called Tizanidine.
