white oval scored pill, imprinted 369 ## My Metoprolol Succ Er 50 mg was changed by the drugest. The number is W735-tablet is twice the size as before and not #369 per your description. Should I be concernded. ## No, there was no reason for concern, both tablets are the correct medication and contain 50mgs of Metoprolol in a sustained release formulation, they have just been manufactured by different companies. The one in the original post was manufactured by Ethex Corporation and the one with the W735 marking is manufactured by Wockhardt USA. Since this is a generic, it is made by several different companies. Metoprolol is a beta blocker that's most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. Are there harmful side effects when taking Metropol Tar 25mg along with Staxyn 10mg. The Stxyn is for ED and the Metropol is being used for blood pressure problems. ## There are no interactions listed between these two medications from what I can find. However, you should be careful using them, because if your blood pressure is on the low side, then this could make it go even lower and you may experience severe dizziness, drowsiness and a low heart rate. Thus, please make sure that taking them both is okayed by your doctor, before doing so. Learn more Metoprolol details here. Learn more Staxyn details here. Is there anything else I can help with?

is metoprol tar the same drug as metoprolol tar ? ## From what I could gather, Metoprol is just another brand name for Metoprolol; as there are no other drugs by which it might be referred to as. At first I thought maybe it could be an abbreviation or misspelling. But in Canada, I've also seen it being referred to as "Novo-Metoprol". Learn More: Metoprolol Details I hope this helps to answer your question!

I think this is my Metoprolol, but I'm not sure. I take (4) different BP medicines and because I don't have prescription drug coverage, I often get my meds. at different pharmacies, depending on where I can get the medicine the cheapest, so the generic version of what I get varies from pharmacy to pharmacy. I just want to make sure it is my Metoprolol before I take it. ## I'm sorry, but I can't find a listing for a tablet with this marking in any of the U.S. prescription drug databases that I've checked. Can you please double check the imprint? What else do you take? I can try looking at those, also. In the future, I'd suggest leaving them in their original bottles, to avoid potentially dangerous mix-ups.

I would like to know if this medication can cause a burning sensation on the ankles and the back of your legs. My mom is 86 and when she takes this medication she has severe burning sensation which is only alleviated when she walks. ## And it only occurs for awhile after she takes it, or is it there all the time? Metoprolol is a beta blocker and, like most other blood pressure and cardiac medications, it works by affecting circulation. So, there is a possibility that such action may have something to do with the problem. There are more Metoprolol details for you here, so you can learn more about it. However, that could also be the sign of some other possibly serious medical issues, such as nerve damage or blood clots. Has she consulted her doctor yet?

Dr started me on this and after two days my blood pressure has not gone down, can I double the dose ## No, you definitely should not double the dosage on your own. While Metoprolol does successfully help lower blood pressure for many people, it doesn't work immediately. It tends to lower it at a gradual, steady rate and it may take a full 4 to 6 weeks, before it reaches its full effectiveness level in your body and you know whether or not it is working for you. Learn more Metoprolol details here. 2 days is far too short of a time period to expect to see big results. If you feel that your blood pressure is at dangerous levels, then please contact your doctor. Are there any other questions?

I was given Metoprolol Tarta 50 mg. and it says to take one twice a day. I didn't take that much and it made me not be able to sleep like a lot of other beta blockers do. After taking it I woke up the other day and can't hear out of my right ear at all. I heard this medication is a ototoxic and can cause hearing loss. I have an appointment with a ENT doctor day after tomorrow. Has anybody else had this problem? I am now on two other B/P meds that work good and I can sleep good. This not being able ot hear out of my right ear is getting to me. I don't know what the doctor can do to get my hearing back. Hope this isn't permanent. I would appreciate any advice concerning this. Thanks, Nora ## There have been others that reported experiencing ototoxicity from taking Metoprol...

can you take nyquil if you are on metoprol tar 25 mg ## If you are taking the Metoprolol to treat high blood pressure and/or a cardiac condition, I'd advise proceeding with caution. Learn more Metoprolol details here. The reason I am saying that is because most Nyquil formulations contain antihistamines and many of them can cause elevations in blood pressure and heart rate. Thus, you should check with your doctor first, to see which one is safe for you to use. Are you on any other medications?

Hi mother was prescribed this last month while hospitalized with back pain. She was also prescribed Metoprolol, to take along with it. Radiologist believed to see a small tear in her aorta, but the surgeon disagreed. So she stopped taking her reg. blood pressure medicine. She was told to start taking these meds instead. She said her heart feels like it's racing from time to time. Would you have any input?? ## There are two possibilities that might explain it. One is that it could be due to a rebound effect from stopping her other medications and switching to this one. Abruptly stopping such medications can cause that and it can result in elevated blood pressure and heart rate. Learn more Metoprolol details here. The other option is that it may be a side effect of the Metoprolol itse...
