My sister in law was just incarcerated for being dirty on her ua for methamphetamine. She was just diagnosed with schizophrenic as well as bipolar. She had a "nervous psychotic break down" is what they called it. So naturally she's on a lot of meds. So my question is, "would triazadone, trileptal, or benzotropine cause a false positive for methamphetamine?"

I am primary custodian for my 10 year old grandson. I've had him since he was born. I had an epiphany about my life close to 9 months ago and changed my habits drastically. My family decided that I was on drugs. So, one of them decided that they would call CPS. They came out and orally drug tested me and I was positive for crystal meth and methamphetamine! I take atenolol for high blood pressure and vitamins and that is it. How could this happen? The case worker told me that only two things give a false positive for that. (amphetamine salt that is found in 2 prescription drugs, neither of which I'm taking) They're letting me take a hair follicle test in a few days. How likely is this to repeat itself? I am trying to find help for my terrible methamphetamine addiction through support from other addicts online. ## Any advise for a friend in need??:( ## I had been taking it for years. I had to submit a hair follicle drug test 2 weeks ago for DHS, I just got my daughter back home after 9 months. They knew it would be positive for methamphetamine because I told them it would. I hadn't had any since April 3rd except for a relapse I had where I took it 3 times in a 4 day period. Sept 27th, 29th, and 30th. My test was taken on Oct. 22. My hair was and still is about half inch long. DHS just wanted to make sure I was truthful with them. I take methocarbamol 500mg 2-3X a day, tizanidine HCl 4 mg 2X a day, gabapentin 300 mg 3X a day, loratadine 10 mg 1X a day, meloxicam 15mg 1X a day, and hydrocodone 5/325 4X a day. Can any of these test as false positive for methamphetamine or thc?

I am having issues finding any scientific data on propylhexedrine. I would like to specifically know receptor binding information. I am aware of propylhexedrine chemical structure and that it is the sister-in-law of methamphetamine so there is obvious dopamine activity but what is confusing to me and many others, is the profound serotonin effects i experience using benzedrex along with lack of norepinephrine effects. Those effects completely differ from the effects of methamphetamine which furthers my interest in which receptors this chemical may or may not exert its effects upon. If you have any info on binding essays i would greatly appreciate the sharing of your knowledge and awareness regarding propylhexedrine (Benzedrex).

I am involved in cps, I am compliant through the whole thing. I call every morning to see if I have a drug screen that day; it can be a mouth swab or a urine drug screen. I was getting ready to be done with CPS when out of no where, I start having positive screens left n right, with different levels, EVERY few to so many days? How is that possible? It's not when they have all my meds info already. They know that I've stopped taking my meds now due to getting them changed, but I'm still having positive screens for thc and methamphetamine. Why?

My son with autism had been given a hair follicle drug test and has tested positive for methamphetamine and amphetamine. However my other son who shares the same living quarters etc with his brother test results were negative. I have full custody and know they have not been exposed to either of those substances. Are there any medicines that could cause this false positive showing up in my oldest son? He has autism and takes Abilify and Celexa, also cold and allergy medicines as needed. First time I used Methamphetamine by force from my friend (but that time I was pretending)... Sorry for my bad english. Second time i was curious to take it and i did it, and felt really good... The 3rd time on the same day of the 2nd time i tried it again (I don't know about the quantity), it was also great, but I couldn't sleep that night. My tongue was burnt or tasteless for 2 or 3 days.... Does this mean that lets say my friend smoked 1.0 gram of meth Sunday night with his last hit being at 7pm. And lets say he has a drug test Wednesday night.at 5pm. Approximately 70 hours after he took his last hit. So 1.0g x.5 x.5 x.5 x.5 x.5 x.5 x.5 =.0078125 Does this mean that there will be 7.8 thousandths of a gram left in his system after 70 hours of being clean? According to this formula after 100 hours or 4 days of being clean there would be .0009765625 of a gram left in his system. Is .97 thousandths of a gram detectable in a quick urine screen? Not the ones sent to a lab but the quick ones that give the results immediately? Will I pass a urine test if I took the drugs 4-5 days ago? ## Valium has a long half-life, something like 96 hours. (I'm a shrink -- MD with a PhD in Pharmacology). Amphetamines have shorter half-lives, but much determines on the length of your daily use and the dose. There are cheap drug tests and there are expensive, more accurate tests. For example, if I found metabolite of Valium (I think one is desmethyldiazepam, I could correctly state that the pt. took Valium within the past five to seven days.) Lot of variables here, including whether you used brand-name Valium or one of the many generics that are therapeutically INEQUIVALENT. Ok so need some info on this and much help is needed. Alright so if I had used meth eight times within a month and used .25 of a g for each use, then how till it will leave my system for meps drug test. Now i do exercise everyday and sweat a lot for at least an hour. Also I would have a week-to 2 week period of being clean. If it helps im 218 and 5'9 and 19. Im not the hulk but I do lift weights and jogg and basically sweat while tjere. And I know I am not to do drugs in military but it was more of only a party type thing, not a addiction. I have not used methamphetamine. I use to be a cocaine addict and I just recently put my ex in jail for a horrible crime but since he had custody due to me having a terminal illness I have to fight to get kids back. Cps did a swab test and it came back positive but I have a immune disorder and constantly take cold meds, lil Vicks vapo rub and run the vaporizer. Methamphetamine was an almost all the time thing for about two weeks, before I stopped taking it. But on the last day a lot of things started to happen.
