Valium has a long half-life, something like 96 hours. (I'm a shrink -- MD with a PhD in Pharmacology). Amphetamines have shorter half-lives, but much determines on the length of your daily use and the dose. There are cheap drug tests and there are expensive, more accurate tests. For example, if I found metabolite of Valium (I think one is desmethyldiazepam, I could correctly state that the pt. took Valium within the past five to seven days.) Lot of variables here, including whether you used brand-name Valium or one of the many generics that are therapeutically INEQUIVALENT. Wish I could be more certain, odds are this test is on the cheap side and five days should allow your body to "wash out" the drugs. Address, an Rx drug, regardless of origin, should wash out — it's Dexedrine (dextroaphetamine) and Benzedrine (dl-amphetamine). Methamphetamine is the big question. I had to call in an old favor (so to speak) from a classmate who cheated from me on the NYS Medical Licensing Boards to get his company, Abbott, to release some Desxoyn (the original brand-name methamphetamine HCl) because a high school classmates came to me in tears, explaining her kid's ADHD only responded to methamphetamine and no one would prescribe it. I wrote a Letter of Medical Necessity, had his worked up by two neurologists, who co-signed and then they released about a year's supply for him but had to sell it to me because of their "no shipping for pharmacies" rule. The bookkeeping is a pain in the ass, but my friendly neighborhood pharmacist said I could sell or transfer it to him and his pharmacy. I held out 200 pills because I knew my friend tended to be a little crazy (and I didn't blame her), so I could give her 20 pills and an Rx and send her on her way. Bootleg methamphetamine doesn't behave like Rx methamphetamine. I don't know if the drug tests are looking for intermediaries or other non-methamphetamine chemical, if it is, you could be f***ed. A TIP: If you were prescribed Valium and Adderall, ask the prescriber for a note verifying that and do your best not to present as a drug abuser.
