My husband was addicted to zanax, that problem behind us I recently found a few pills with marking 57 71 m on it ,well looked it up I see what it is, but can this make a person teeth start to decay? He has such a beautiful smile and now I'm noticing a few of his teeth look like they have cavities on the root by the gum can it be cuz of this pill he taking behind my back. Or should I look deeper. I take 50 milligrams of methadone what would be the same milligrams in dilaudid ? ## From my perspective, there's no easy or safe way to answer this question (outside of your doctor's recommendation) due to patient-to-patient variability, including differences in cross-tolerance from one drug to another. For these reasons I would encourage you to talk with your doctor about finding the right dosage; especially since he/she would be the one prescribing it to you in the first place and would already have done the conversion themselves prior to writing your prescription for Dilaudid. Early monday morning (04/14/2014), I took my last dose of 1mg (.01ml) liquid. I was both scared and excited too. I have been going to the same old methadone clinic since 09/27/2007. That has been a long time. When I first started taking the methadone, the dose was between 15-30mg liquid. I quickly escalated to my highest dose of 120mg in Jan, 2008. I was on the same dose of 120mg for almost 2 years and I was sick and tired of how it made me feel. All I wanted to do was remain in my bed and sleep. I finally decided that I wanted off of this stuff and for good. I did not want to be a lifer on methadone and carrying those little lock boxes back and forth from the clinic. I was taking 69 mg methadone every morning at the clinic I've been going down 2 mg a week I'm at 8mg now till Friday am I gonna get sick or do OK with no withdrawls ## Hello, Jaymee! How are you? Methadone is notorious for causing bad withdrawals, even at very low doses, which is why many people treated with it end up on a lifetime maintenance dose of it and never truly become drug free. I can't say that you're going to have problems, but there is a definite chance that you still might. I am having anxiety attacks 1 or more a day. Used to take klonipin but since I am on a methadone clinic I can't use that. I've tried visteral, clonidine, busbar, antidepressants, ect. I took methadone for 10 yrs for pain at a methadone clinic because it was cheaper than dr. and I had no insurance. I HAVE to have pain meds due to spinal cord injury. Got insurance so pain doctor is only allowed to give 20mg a day in my state and I am used to 100mgs. My doc is very young. I like him but he has me on 25mg fentanyl for a month before he will go up. I have taken 40 mgs liquid today and I have a serious test In 8 days and then in 17 days will my UA show negative for this specifically? I am on methadone maintenance & I am taiking chantix to quit smoking. When I first take the chantix in the a.m. I am disoriented and extremely anxious. these are not things that I experience taking methadone. Any feedback? ## Based on my research there are no known drug interactions between Methadone and Chantix; so I'm thinking the side effects you're describing are most likely related to one or the other individually. I currently take 71mg of methadone, klonopin 3mg, 100mg of hydroxyzine, and levothyroxine 25mcg everyday. I have cellulitus of my ear and was prescribed keflex 500mg 2xday. Hi. I have been going through a war now for years trying to manage my pain from my ruptured and bulging disk in my lower back. For years I just dealt with the pain. But about three years ago I was forced into a point that I had to work so I started going to a pain clinic in TN and after a year I moved to Florida for my husband to get treatment for cancer. i used my sons urine for a drug tet for a job. the urine was too hot so they mde me go again. i have oxycodone in my urine nd they are sending both to the lab. Caon i say i took one while waiting the hour to go again? they are going to compare both urine samples, his is clean mine is ditry. Can i say i took one while waiting thats why mine is dirty? ## No, that's not going to work. When you take the regular release or the time released Oxycodone, it takes from 20 minutes to a half an hour to start working in your body to begin with, it would not process through to your urine to show up until later. I have been very ill for 12 yrs with fibro, osteo, and dengenerative neck joint disease, and have been treated very little for over 6 yrs by VA Dr.'s, then got my disability, medicare, and medicaid, and found a little better care with Family Dr., I then found a Pain Clinic , and received a little better care, but they still leave me in pain. Quick recap was on methadone 10 years. After multiple failed wean attempts, I tried suboxone still failed and back to methadone. Life issues caused me to realize I had to be done with this life that day. I went off methadone after a 4 day wean, over 3 months ago, I am doing GREAT right now looking for someone else who has went off and is still successful after a couple months. ## How did you feel after the 4 day wean?
