I've been taking Cialis for a while with good results and I started taking losartan and now experience ED ## Hello, Corvette! How are you? Sorry about the problem that you're having. Yes, it can cause that as a side effect in some people that take it. If the Cialis can no longer overcome it, then you should speak to your doctor, they should be able to prescribe something else that isn't known to cause ED as frequently. Is there anything else I can help with?

I've been taking 100mg daily for three years. Seems to be working and dealing with most died effects I.e. Dizziness, fatigue etc. by taking the pill before bed so sleep through half a days worth of issue. I've tried several other meds that I could not tolerate so I've wanted to stick with losartan. The issue is that for the past 18 months the pharmacy continues to give me a large white pill from another manufacturer but I keep requesting the green oval pill. When I think the issue is finally resolved I found myself back at square one with them again. It's exhausting to hear them say we can try to special order,will mark your file. It's all been done before and still they ignore all the flags etc. how can I get the green oval pill without ten trips to the pharmacy bef...

I have been taking losartan for approximately a year and a half. I have found a very wide variation from month to month in the performance of this generic. The Teva losartan made me so ill that I had to be hospitalized. I recovered practically overnight after going on the hospital's losartan. Since then I have been on a losartan made by Aurobindo. I am going to request that my pharmacist find another company because I find that my blood pressure varies with each new bottle of pills. Not good. Given the recent article in the New York Times about the problems the FDA has had in policing generics from both India and China, I will try to avoid manufacturers from either country. I have a new dr and am taking a daily 25mg Losartan pill. However, I realized the dosage I used to take previously was 50mg a day. Can I just take 2 pills a day instead of 1 50mg until she changes the prescription? ## As long as your doctor okays it, then you can do so, yes. There shouldn't be any problem with it. But you do need to check with them and make sure that they didn't intend to lower your dosage. What are you blood pressure levels?

I have an almost debilitating pain on the left side of my lower back and the only thing I can think that would cause this is a new prescription for 25 mg of losartan. There are other things that could be causing it, as well, such as dehydration or a kidney stone. You need to see your doctor and have it checked out.

I take 100 mg of Losartan but BP is still 140/100. I did increase to 150mg myself. Is this ok. It has seemed to decrease my BP to 130/ 75. ## Hello, Tommie! How are you? The maximum daily dosage is 100mgs and you really shouldn't change the dosage yourself. How long were you taking the 100mg dosage? It can take 3 to 6 weeks for this medication to reach its full efficacy level in your body to see how much it will lower your blood pressure. If you were taking it longer than that, then it may be that it's just not the right medication for you. Have you consulted your doctor? ## I just had an appointment w/ a med doc 3rd of Jan. Is Losartan HCT safe if I have a bad allerigc reaction to sulfa? ## Though it isn't common, Losartan can sometimes cause an allergic reaction in some people that have sulfa allergies. I am have been taking 50 mg of Losartan (Teva green tab) once a day (at night) along w/ my Alprozalam. I take .25 mg w/my Losarton at night before bed. Which has been fine. (I take my other doses of Alprozalam during the day @ different times.) I take the Losarton due, to high blood pressure. I started out w/ my blood pressure 188 over 103. I went to the doctor yesterday and it is now at 160 over 90. Still high even w/changes in diet. But he doubled it to 100 mg same company, Teva. I have some side affects I am just getting used to and have been thru many other meds for this with many painful and scary side affects. My problem is i am scared to take my Alprozalam w/this high of a dose w/out knowing the affects and don't want to not sleep due to my body being used to it and i am also...

what are the markings on losartan/hct 100/25 sandoz is the manufacture ## Hello, Patty! How are you? Since starting losartan my stomach bloats, aches and burns almost constantly. Also have frequent upset stomach.. Is this a side effect of this med? ## Hello, Pam! How are you feeling? Sorry about the issues that you're having. Yes, these medications can do that to some people that take them. I had it happen with several of them, myself. Learn more Losartan details here. There are other medications you can try that are known to cause fewer gastric side effects. I've had very good luck with Atacand, which contains Candesartan, so it's very similar to the Losartan. I currently take Losartan in the AM. Within two hours I have severe back pain which wears off in about five hours. Is there any reason I shouldn't take this Losartan in the PM so that I am sleeping when I have this back pain?
