Stomach Distress

Since starting losartan my stomach bloats, aches and burns almost constantly. Also have frequent upset stomach.. Is this a side effect of this med?

Yes, these medications can do that to some people that take them. I had it happen with several of them, myself.

And it isn't likely to stop and could turn into gastritis, if left to continue.

Have you consulted your doctor?

There are other medications you can try that are known to cause fewer gastric side effects.

I've had very good luck with Atacand, which contains Candesartan, so it's very similar to the Losartan.
