Is Losartan HCT safe if I have a bad allerigc reaction to sulfa?

Though it isn't common, Losartan can sometimes cause an allergic reaction in some people that have sulfa allergies.

Thus, you may want to ask your doctor about prescribing a different medication. Many people can take this class of medications, without a problem and I can use myself as an example here, but it really depends on how allergic and sensitive that you are.
