I GET DRUG TESTED EVERY 2 WEEKS AND I HURT MY BACK AND MY AUNT GAVE ME A SOMA AND I HAVE A 12 PANEL DRUG SCREEN URINE TEST AND I WANNA MAKE SURE I'M NOT GONNA FAIL MY DRUG TEST.

hi I am curious, I understand you're on soma. You stated that it is a narcotic. What does it do? Does it give you a high?? I have muscle and nerve damage. Does it gve you the same feeling as Oxycodones bcuz I am on that too. Would you mind sharing your experience?

see, thats the thing. it depends on what number "panel" tests they use. there are 5 panel, 8 panel, 12 panel, etc. the higher the panel number, the more things they test for. when i was on probation many moons ago, they only did a 5 panel test, which was weed, opiates, cocaine, meth and benzos (i think!) and no, soma would not be on there. u need to find out what they specifically test for to know for sure.

No soma is not a narcotic. My suboxone Dr. says that soma is grouped in with benzos like Valium and xanax. Even tho its not a "true" benzo, thats what it comes up as. No, most drug tests won't show soma, but my doc does some super 24 panel test since he works with addicts.

Some soma have hydrocodone in them, but the prescription bottle would say so, that is why the give a "false positive" for morphine. It actually shiws up as an opiate. Most soma, however, that are prescribed do not have that in them.

go to a pain management dr who offers drug control. ask for suboxone. I used to work for a pain dr and that was a popular alternative and I hear from him and many patients its very affective.

whoever posted that they are tested by a pain management doctor and only sometimes get tested for fentanyl might want to recheck that, not that you have anything to worry about as you obviously do not take fentanyl, but as it is a very, very abused narcotic, and everyone I know that has died from a drug overdose, is because of fentanyl, I'm pretty sure any drug screen would test positive in the opiates. And I would just like to say to the person who is so much better than most people on this site because they "actually need pain management" you're lying to two doctors to get meds prescribed, it's a felony and I'm happy to burst your bubble by saying you are the exact same as the rest of us addicts, except I've been sober for 3 years and you are still judgemental and in denial!! Good luck with that!!

Get on suboxone. Is the best thing ever for opiate withdrawels and detoxing from them. I got on them and no urges craving, body aches, death warmed over feeling.

I got pulled over and charged with DUI. The only thing I had taken was my prescription suboxone and ambien(night before), but had took 5non prescribed soma like an hour before. Will the soma show up on blood test if I had just taken it an hour before test

As of January 2012, fda changed it to a narcotic/controlled substance. It did NOT show up on the UA my pain mgmt doctor did which is not good in my case. I read how it could throw a false positive for morphine, which I am also on. So the soma didn't show but the morphine did.I hadn't taken soma for a few days. So I had to redo the test. I won't find out for another month.

Soma can show up as a TCA on the 10 panel drug test. It just shows a trace of something in the urine, but most places do not see a trace as positive. Here in Detox we look at all of it. TCA's will pick up psych drugs, clonidines and soma's, too.
