Im Marina Im 24 years old and a mother of 2 beautiul little boys. From the years 2006-2007 i was heavily addicted to Oxy 80 and eventually started doing herion. I got help in sep.2007 at a methadone clinic, it worked for as long as i was on the methadone i had NO relapse's. In June 2009 i was completly off of the methadone that first day that i was on 0Mgs I went through extreme withdrawls i went through things that i would never wish upon my worst enemy! i stayed that way for a day and a half and decided to go to a suboxone doctor. He put me on 32 mgs a day which i thought was pretty high of a dose but he explained to me that methadone withdrawls was worst then any other withdrawls. so i trusted him. Now when i go to see him every month i pretty much beg for him to start the weining process and start lowering me and he pretty much refuses. After months of being on 32mgs a day he finally started tapering me down slowly, i never really thought any thing of it till now but i realized he's keeping me on the suboxne for as long as posible so that he can get my $200.00 a month. all he is, is a legal drug dealer bc now im highly addicted to the suboxone. I recently had to go a few days with out my suboxone bc i didnt have the money to see him and i went through hell. i thought methadone withdrawl was bad OMG there is no comparison. i wanted to either use which i havent done in years or rip my face off lol its funny now but it definatley wasnt funny a few days ago while i was feeling that way! So i spoke to a good friend whos going through the same thing and he told me that they just came out with a new pill to get you off suboxone. I just want to know if that's true. I tryed googleing it but i cant find any thing. If you have heard of this new pill please respond or if you even have a good way to get off soboxone as painless and posible... thanx

I to am in the medical field. I just graduated from college and I am terrified to apply for a job, because I am addicted to subs. Wow thats the first time I ever admitted it. What I need to know is, is it possible to pass a drug test on these? I have been clean for two days and I feel sorta ok. I need to work! Im having an ethical battle in my head right now. Im so scared to let the pople who believe in me down and to curse myself before my career even begins. Any advice?

Marina I'd recommend you get back on methadone and have your dosage built-up, as it seems you were never on a reasonable holding dose. After several months you can slowly detox and get on Tramadol, which is non-narcotic and can still subdue your pain. Because of your history you may need to take an opiod longer than a year, before going to Tramadol. I would think about what you really want in life - it's a little, a lot, or none.

I've been on 2 8 mg/ day for five Yeats now. However I'm happy to state that in the last two months I've become quite sick of being dependent. I have allowed this drug to stop me from going on many jobs paying in the 35-50 an hour range and deprive my family of what would be a good life. I had enough and I'm now taking one a day and did it in 2 days time. Im plan on gojng to 3/4 a day next week. Im going to kick this crap for good. I have also found that by going to the gym it helps cut the craving and anxiety. Im also going to buy my wife and kids a new car with the $600/month ill save. Whats your motivation? a y

Update, after not sleeping for three days, was given serequel to sleep, had a severe life threatening reaction from it called neuroleptic malignant Sundrome NMS...if you dare take this medication and start having mental mood changes, uncontrolled body temperature, heart rate fast slow or irregular, get to ER! I did not as did not think one single pill could do that and thought it would pass. I had more symptoms and because my family doctor knows I see a specialist for 5 days has refused treatment and NOW realizes they messed up and now I might have facial and body twitches for life! WTF. The pain of every nerve in my body from "spasticing" feels like I have been run over by a train... On the other hand they say they are Sorry I had a bad reaction and on dAy 6 today promise to get things right!!!! Also has taken Severe mental toll on me, Almost over the edge.

This is all bulls***. I quit suboxone months ago after doing it for 2 years. I quit cold turkey and all I had was a runny nose for a couple days and fatigue. The fatigue lasts a while but if you exercise and get in shape BEFORE you detox then it makes it much easier to deal with. All these other people must either have extremely low pain tolerance or they are just week minded and they let the mental aspect take over and make them feel like it was worse than it was

If u arent addicted then dont comment. NEVER comment on anything u know nothing about. Thats how ppl die. B/c of ppl like u!!! U know NOTHING about addiction, withdrawals, etc. ur comment pissed me off. I wish addiction on u.

Have u gone through the withdrawal of Suboxone? Because I promise, the average person is gonna go through more than 1 day of withdrawal. I am doing it for my third time now and have been on it for a total of 5 years. It is not as bad as H withdrawal, but it has all the same symptoms, just slightly weaker.

Blondie, are you the one that your doctor put you on opana and morphine? That's what I was on for a severe accident that left my back in terrible shape. If your taking those pills, I don't understand, sure you're not taking suboxene but you're taking opiates again. What did you gain? Now you have to withdraw from those medications.

I think your PM Doctor is leading you down an unknown path. It has been my experience with my PM Doctor that he is adamant against putting me on other stronger opiates to get off of Suboxone. The best and only way to get off of Sub is to taper slowly for 6 weeks. I still had some w/d's, like diarrhea and headaches, but once I got past that, I did good. Two months later, I still have some light cravings, but the w/d's are gone and luckily, I never experienced any RLS.

Regarding Tramadol. It is not a Narcotic, and in about 2 months for the first time the Feds will make it a controlled substance. Some states have already done this on their own. In does not turn into any type of opiate in your body. It is impossible with it molec make up. It seems some docs or phams will lie to make it seem worse than it is. There are three ways to prove this, but much too long to get started. However, yes it is addicting, and can cause other issues.

I am on 60 milligrams of Suboxone I am having major abdominal surgery 1 month
Am also in pain ! On subs for 40 days am scared have to get off them now! Feel terrible on them anyway
Surgery us hysterectomy. Was told to het as low as possible quickly as I can then use 4 mg to 2 mgs couple times a day for week or more I want to be off subs for at least ,48 hours before surgery anybody ? I also know and have told DR that I am going to need pain controlled and read that fentanyl with break thru med works plz advice scared!!

Cindy the reason you are still in pain is suboxone does not treat pain if i were you i would go get another dr the maximum dose of suboxone per day is 24mg i hope im reading this as a typo i think you mean 6mg not 60 ive never heard of a dr giving that much that is why you feel so bad suboxone is used to help with withdrawal symptoms not for pain
