Im Marina Im 24 years old and a mother of 2 beautiul little boys. From the years 2006-2007 i was heavily addicted to Oxy 80 and eventually started doing herion. I got help in sep.2007 at a methadone clinic, it worked for as long as i was on the methadone i had NO relapse's. In June 2009 i was completly off of the methadone that first day that i was on 0Mgs I went through extreme withdrawls i went through things that i would never wish upon my worst enemy! i stayed that way for a day and a half and decided to go to a suboxone doctor. He put me on 32 mgs a day which i thought was pretty high of a dose but he explained to me that methadone withdrawls was worst then any other withdrawls. so i trusted him. Now when i go to see him every month i pretty much beg for him to start the weining process and start lowering me and he pretty much refuses. After months of being on 32mgs a day he finally started tapering me down slowly, i never really thought any thing of it till now but i realized he's keeping me on the suboxne for as long as posible so that he can get my $200.00 a month. all he is, is a legal drug dealer bc now im highly addicted to the suboxone. I recently had to go a few days with out my suboxone bc i didnt have the money to see him and i went through hell. i thought methadone withdrawl was bad OMG there is no comparison. i wanted to either use which i havent done in years or rip my face off lol its funny now but it definatley wasnt funny a few days ago while i was feeling that way! So i spoke to a good friend whos going through the same thing and he told me that they just came out with a new pill to get you off suboxone. I just want to know if that's true. I tryed googleing it but i cant find any thing. If you have heard of this new pill please respond or if you even have a good way to get off soboxone as painless and posible... thanx

Please help me with how to get off suboxone with no withdrawals please I am a single mother of a very active 7 year old. Plus I have college work and my daughters sports. I just want to be finished with this all and have a normal life again so my husband will come back home and so I can be who I was 5 years ago

Start weaning!! Cut dose by 25% every 2 weeks. Even then you will need restless leg meds and sleeping med. Contact your doctor because you will need their support with medication to help. When you jump you will need someone to help with childcare. You can do this. Quicker you start quicker its over. I took 6 weeks after I jumped off from very low dose but I also wasn't on sleeping med which was a big mistake.

Brendan and anyone else that has ask. The key is TAPER. You've seen it a million times. It's the only way you can do it. I tapered down to 1/8 of a strip for about 3 weeks, then I got off. It's not a easy road, in fact it is very uncomfortable but if I can do this anyone can do it. You must keep yourself busy, no laying around feeling sorry for yourself. My dr. gave me clonodine, which helped the most. I'm still not sleeping well. But I am determined to beat this crap. I've spent so much money on these, it makes me sick. Just remember if you want off, you have to work for it, it does not come easy.

Cookie, wow that is still a high dose to jump from. What mg film was it. I cut my 8 mg films into like 40 or 50 little pieces. I had to use razor blade and tweezers to cut and hold them. Even then when I finally jumped from a tiny sliver a day I still went through sleep deprivation for 6 weeks. I however was super sensitive to dosage and think Most people probably are not. Sooooooo glad its over. I have been off for 7 1\2 months.

Hi I have been taking sub for a few years I'm down to about a half to a qurt a day but when I stop I feel so depressed and can't get out of bed then feel wd am I able to get off ? Or am I going to have todo this for life

Suboxone was awful trying to get off of. I ended up in a 7 day detox
They stepped me down in a week. I will never go back on them.

I've been on subs for 6 years now have tried multiple times to get off. I've been using the strips and I've cut down to a 1/8 of a strip in morning and another around lunch. My doc let me pass over 6 drug panels for marijuana before he decided to kick me out the program. Leaving me cold in the wind with nothing. So I had to start getting subs by other means. I would love to know there's doctors out there helping people with this problem but like I read earlier it's all about the money for them. I feel like I will never get off this stuff the way things are going and it scares the crap out of me. I don't have two weeks to get off work and recover. And not only getting over the physical part it's the mental part that is the hardest to get over from what I hear it can last too a month. What do I dooooo?

No lolo I'm great . I think you should forget about a rehab center ,they don't really help. A really compassionate Md / GP etc will help you with the gabipinton and tramdol . Google them . Well it took me about a total miserable 7, to 8 months to do the taper . Then I jumped off completely about 3/1/2 months ago. It was a b..ch .
the restless leg thing and the anxiety the worst . Gabipinton for the restless leg thing. Tramdol for lingering pains and get a anti depression if you need it . Plus ,I went into my doctors office with my own list which he trusted me enough to kinda let me take the lead. One because I took a year studying Sub and getting off,and two because he didn't hardly know a thing about getting off it. I've also been extremely pro active when concerning my health needs . I am always when I go to the office . With anything . I always study up on whatever ills me before hand . Which leaves him much more time to really help you. Trust me though ,I get allot of lead way simply because . I've been going to his office for years and he trusts me. I have zip issues now . No PAWS etc no na/aa meetings ,no bible and God ? none of that stuff . Just believe in yourself . Lots of sub issues I'm starting to believe . It mess's with your brain receptors and your kinda always in a perpetual state of fog. Also the doctors giving you the subs. Most are rip offs and have no idea how to get you off . Why should they at $150 a crack. Ten minutes in their office and your gone. I asked the one who had me on the Subs. So many times till I got pissed and said you don't have a exit plan do you. He said no. I was done with his smart ass. Started my own studies ,by googling . And like I said went to my long standing GP's office . Rest is history . My wife is actually on suboxone ,,I have no issues with it being in our place . Doesn't bother me in the least . When im done with something ? I'm done ! Plus she doesn't think she can ever get off seeing what I Went through. Also want to add my doctor, GP? He didn't think I should get off either . Statics show ,95% can not do it . Plus it's hell . But you can ,be the 5% . I have faith in human beings! have faith in yourself and find a good human being first,that just so happens is a GP as well.

That's all he gave you was Cloludine? That doctors a cop out. High blood pressure med. Most don't know s*** about Suboxone, let alone an exit plan on getting off. It's a lousy 8 hour class room course that I think they can even do it online as well.

He is on way too high of a dose. He is having the effects of taking way to much. It's kinda the same effect that opiates or pain pills can give you if you take too much as well. Get him help in a rehab and don't let him stay on suboxone for long it is a horrible drug for many reasons. The most important is honestly from a former opiate addict myself it is easier to taper yourself off the pain meds then it is to get off suboxone. See suboxone goes in your bone marrow and stays there for many many months after you stop taking it which makes the withdrawals horrible for a long period of time. He really should go to rehab and get the help he needs most.

If you are not sick and have gotten over that, just get an anti-depressant. Any doctor can give you a script for that and stay on them for awhile until all the sub is out of your body. The body will heal and this too will pass.

I have been on suboxone for years at 16mgs and am doing a 50 day detox. Going all the way down to .13 mgs. Its my 8th day and i feel ok. I know.i have a ways to go but I'm optimistic about this. If anyone has any advice or anything could you please let me know.

I'm sorry that is not the truth! Sub withdrawal is the worst thing I've ever been through in my life. Lasted 44 days and I lost my will to live. It's was constant suffering , trips to the ER for fluids, endless nights with no sleep at all!

I am very interested on how to get off them subboxen, I first was on 2 a day threw matnince program, I walked off cold turkey now I finding it very very difficult to just stop and I am literally on half a day maybe sometimes a whole one a day half a night half in the AM .... I WANT OFF!!!! I do not know where to even start? I cannot go away to detox because of unfortunately my history! Smh! Please please reply and help me to get off them all together??

Clonidine, baclofen, and low doses of either at Ivan or xanax. I am coming off of 32mgs for the last 2 years. Opiate junkie for 15 years. I'm on day 7. I also eat a lot of cannabis edibles. That is what I think saved me the most. I mix wax (dab oil) with a low heat coconut oil. Mix the two, do not cook them. Let them mix together. Put in fridge. Let oil harden, swallow small doses. It will be hard to tell your dose at first, so be easy. But it will help you eat, relax, laugh. Turn on the music real loud. I've eroded a lot of times in my life. I've never felt anything like the suboxone detox. I went to the ER on day 3 and just told them the truth. I was given a lil relief. But I'm a single mom who stays home with 3 of my 5 kids. 2 teenage boys a 3 yr old girl. My life is crazy. To say the least. I have had to remove myself from the house for at least this first week. Any sort of stress or aggitation makes it so much worse, and I'm off crying in a ball on the floor cause I feel like such a piece of s***. Lol. I'm not tho. I'm almost done. And that's amazing. But f*** subs. Clonidine is what they gave me in rehab years ago, it's a blood pressure med. Helps immensely. And I had no issue getting it from the er. I have been tapering down for 3 months. Last Sunday was the last bit of sub dust I had. I still can't sleep, I'm antsy, and just need to be left alone. And I've been made to feel bad for wanting/needing those things. But this is MY DETOX and ONLY I can do it. So don't be afraid to tell people who are overwhelming you to step away for a few weeks. If they love u and care about you, they'll get it. But you need to come first right now. I know as moms, we feel like we can't take the time to stop. But sometimes we HAVE to!!!
