How To Get Off Suboxone (Page 11) (Top voted first)
UpdatedIm Marina Im 24 years old and a mother of 2 beautiul little boys. From the years 2006-2007 i was heavily addicted to Oxy 80 and eventually started doing herion. I got help in sep.2007 at a methadone clinic, it worked for as long as i was on the methadone i had NO relapse's. In June 2009 i was completly off of the methadone that first day that i was on 0Mgs I went through extreme withdrawls i went through things that i would never wish upon my worst enemy! i stayed that way for a day and a half and decided to go to a suboxone doctor. He put me on 32 mgs a day which i thought was pretty high of a dose but he explained to me that methadone withdrawls was worst then any other withdrawls. so i trusted him. Now when i go to see him every month i pretty much beg for him to start the weining process and start lowering me and he pretty much refuses. After months of being on 32mgs a day he finally started tapering me down slowly, i never really thought any thing of it till now but i realized he's keeping me on the suboxne for as long as posible so that he can get my $200.00 a month. all he is, is a legal drug dealer bc now im highly addicted to the suboxone. I recently had to go a few days with out my suboxone bc i didnt have the money to see him and i went through hell. i thought methadone withdrawl was bad OMG there is no comparison. i wanted to either use which i havent done in years or rip my face off lol its funny now but it definatley wasnt funny a few days ago while i was feeling that way! So i spoke to a good friend whos going through the same thing and he told me that they just came out with a new pill to get you off suboxone. I just want to know if that's true. I tryed googleing it but i cant find any thing. If you have heard of this new pill please respond or if you even have a good way to get off soboxone as painless and posible... thanx
Hello JR
I hope you read this post. I am on .025 of sub and I take lithuim for bipolar along with klonopin as needed and trazadone as need. I also have tramadol, flexural and requip. can you give me specific regiment that you took to get off suboxone,
I really appreciate all your help and God Bless
Patient
i apologize, I scrolled down and later saw you wrote a detailed post about how you used Kratom to help you get off suboxone. What you said does shed light for many who do not know about things like Kratom, and how truly helpful it can be. one thing also, at least for me after being on sub for five years, and being off for a year now, is that you have to be in the right mentality psychologically and physically to truly gain the benefits of using Kratom. I know some who yet do not understand they just aren't ready to get off. Know matter how much you or I can inform those suffering that literally say they want off suboxone, we can only be advocates through our words and people like us are emphathetic in wanting to help others. With time, hopefully more awareness about long term suboxone and the potential dangers that it could lead to being on it long term will be exposed. I apologize again for the hasty remark I originally posted. You seem like a good dude.
Hi Douglas
Many thanks for your thoughts. This is my plan an please let me know what you think. I was going to skip .025 sub one day then take a .025 then skip two days and take another .025 sub then skip three days take sub then four days take sub. Inbetween I thought I would take klonopin, requip, tramadol only as needed. Please let me know your thoughts.
THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH

kratom powder. get it online, not at smoke shops. There ARE and IS good vendors that have the real powder form. that is best used for getting off suboxone as it takes the suboxone's antagonistic and agonistic properties on various pain receptors(unlike what pharm who invented suboxone says, it actually hits and effects other pain recpetors hence Kratom washes away the sub on those too!) tbsn(1-2 x daily first week) try to continue to at most one month. Minor WD's you will suffer, nothing compared to suboxone. Sorry you had issues with the Kratom you sued. the powder is the key.
Hi Leslie
Well its day two and I dont feel horrible getting off sub yet. This is what I take first thing in the morning I take my 2 300mg lithium 3 600mg neurontin and 2 .5 klonopin and at night I have been taking 2 300mg lithium 4 600mg neurontin 2 .5 klonopin and 2 150mg trazadone. I feel lethargy and that is the worst so far. Hopefully I will not go through hell but if I do I am going to do what it takes to be done with suboxone, Also I ordered Kratom which should be here Wednesday and I purchased imodium as well but have not had to use as of yet. I am going to the bathroom for the first time in years without a laxative so I will wait until that part gets out of hand to start imodium. Anyway thank you so much for your encouraging words and I hope that we chat again. I can use all the help I can get.

Patient
Please let me know your secret, I am down to 8, 8mg pills, cannot afford to buy anymore and just sick of it all, I don't want to be a slave to anything anymore. I have managed to get myself down to 2mg a day but can't seem to go any lower without feeling like s***. I have to work and am alone with 2 teenagers who depend on me
I'm in the same boat. After 16 days of the runs, rls, cramps, ill etc, things aren't getting better. Before subutex, was on methadone, opana and fentynl for 12 years. I thought the methadone wd's were bad!! Nothing compared to this!!
Am going to subutex Dr. Tomorrow to report all the failures and issues I am having trying to "taper" off this evil drug. I am curious to see his next mode of action if any will be. will post.
Look at my previous posts about a bridge that will ease you into he withdrawls. It's not easy getting off but it's worth it.. It really takes 30 days to get off. Meantime helped me as a bridge. Let me know if anyone has questions.
Thank u, am researching and trying to get Kratom too. I was told by a top methadone clinic in Fl, how these drugs rob u of nutrients. They give vitamins and supplements via IV as they say the body doesn't absorb them through the stomach. Makes sense. Will look into the book. Thank u. U say after 30 days, u felt better?
Well, just got back from my pain / addiction Doc. As I explained all the issues trying to get off Subutex, his first response was, "I told you how dangerous and bad that stuff can be!!" Then the next sentence he tells me, "wow!!, you're brain must really be messed up / addiction damaged from the decades of Narcotics!" As I thought to myself, Duh!! Why am I seeing you? The next sentence was, "do you want to try Tramadol?" I explained that 15 years ago was addicted to that, has seizures etc, the Doc then told me to continue taking trying to reduce as much as I can. Duh? I then asked him about Kratom. He said he never heard of it. Oh well, wish me luck.
This girl I'm dating is on Suboxone and every time she takes it at night/afternoon, it is so obvious. She slurrs her words and is visibly messed up. Its best if she can take it in the morning so it is in her system throughout the day, but if it starts to leave her system in the middle of the night, she'll get super restless and toss and turn, sweating, until she takes another little sliver. Its a total bummer and we are both pretty nervous about what will happen when she quits all together.
Well, all I can suggest is make the slivers smaller when taking so it doesn't make you high, but will need to take when Restless Leg Symptoms get bad. Neurontin is supposed to help this. I wish your girl the best of luck as I still can't kick this evil drug! I never get high from it, been taking Narcotics so long / brain so messed up just don't. That may be a good sign...I found that breaking a 2 mg pill in half, then 1/3's with pill cutter. I read a post that if you break up an 8 mg pill, it usually crushes. The suggestion I liked was to {edited for safety reasons}. Good luck!!! I am with you! I wish these drug companies would post all this bad crap!
Marina I'm so sorry but why did you come off methadone in the first place?!? There's NO reason to detox from methadone, none. A person can use it to get through life as the human they once were before heroin. Why unplug yourself from it? Oh well, could it be outside pressure, i.e. "Are you still on that stuff?" Look, the next time someone says methadone is just one exchange of a drug for another I'll agree and patiently explain the benefit of exchanging the death drug for the life-returning one. Simple. We're chemically-based humans, we have endorphin balances that NEVER come back after an opiate addiction, never. Methadone returns that level we ALL need of seratonin, dopamine, neuros, all we need to make sure a gust of wind doesn't feel like pieces of glass ripping our skin off. You lose this balance when you use heroin instead of your natural opiates. Methadone returns them to you, synthetically, so why the heck would anyone stop taking it? Sure, youc an try to detox and see if you can live, even get on subs, but in my 40 years on methadone hydrochloride I've NEVER met ONE SOUL who successfully kicked heroin and never slipped back. I'm the only one I know who did that, and it's in part because of the chemical modality of all the treatment options I used, like therapy and supporting people. You left methadone, you got on something worse, and it's not even your fault - the information is misguided, just as it once was about methadone (dolophine) but frankly, dear, all I see for you as a viable answer is GET BACK ON METHADONE AND STAY THERE.
The claim that our Chemical/Hormonal makeup won't ever return to balance/normal is one of the biggest fallacies being passed on from Doctor to Patient..Patient to Patient..and now integrated throughout the Opiate dependent/medical community.. that statement alone makes a slave of everyone that believes it and dependent. Most people are built with an innate desire to have control of their lives have pride deep down inside that will eventually kick in that being a slave to anything is not natural..
The fatalist statement that you're forever opiate dependent is false and and a major travesty.. Such a travesty because Opiates are hard enough to kick with all of the support and desire in the world (which is rare). Take a more normal situation with varying support, a body/mind that is scared to death of life without the "medicine" and add to it an Empirical fact that your hormonal system will never recover and you will be addicted dependent for life until you die... No matter what. This person is now robbed of hope, robbed of having faith of a better life. Faith/Hope is solely a religious principle but the principle of action and power in all intelligent beings. Removing hope/faith in these individuals is a key factor in their course to go in the direction of harder/illegal dirt/drugs that ruin millions of lives and eventually kills many of them.
The Great news is that your system can and will get back to normal. Your synapses can be retrained. Your hormones stabilized and balanced with Nutrition, Diet, exercise,, consulting, and the major factor (and most difficult/painful)...TIME being clean letting your body fix itself.
Our body's through years and years of improvement is the most amazing machine conceivable, divinely originated and still very misunderstood.. A great example is for the last 100 years it was a known fact brain cells could regenerate and once you killed them by drugs, etc they will never regrow... It's now proven that brain cells can and do regenerate!!!!!
This is not an attempt to motivate everyone to get off opiates right away. Everybody does respond differently to recovery and the time that it takes for it to be back to "normal" be it 6 months, 12 months,.. years.. Everyone is at a different stage in their dependency and if you aren't truly ready (in so many ways) trying to quit can throw you in a much worse direction.
Basically the moral of this drawn out story is that Our bodies, at a cellular/hormonal level can and will recuperate with time and there is light at the end of the tunnel which is a hope of regular and normal drug free life.
Btw.. I personally over came years of Fentynol Which then was on suboxone for 5 years. Suboxone was a miracle drug for me at the time.. But eventually there grew a desire,a need, a penchant, a desperation and then a full battle to get off.. The catalyst to me getting off was when my doctor told me that my nervous system wouldn't go back to normal and that it wasn't possible to get off suboxone.. He then said actually I haven't had one patient get off suboxone... I of course new deep inside he was wrong and it was possible... to anyone doubting it is possible.. I've done it, I have friends that I now know have got back to normal and many many more i'm getting to know..
subsukurpotential i believe fully what you ARE saying. that iz the main reason i didnt want to.stop but deep inside something was telling me otherwise. as a Christian who knows that God is thd creator and can regenerate as well as create youd think i wouldnt give into the lies. but i did. how did you stop? im so desperate to stop.cuz for.6 years now i havent been able to have communion with the Holy SPirit cause the subs block me completely. im greatful for your post. it came just when i needed it. God bless you
Hi I just wanted to let you know that I have tried the withdrawal ease and it did nothing.I payed a hundred bucks for it because u was so desperate. I hope you haven't bought it yet! It's definitely a wast of money .im down to 1 mg of sub and have been doing this a week and tomm I'm going to go down to .25. I'm probably going to buy kratom powder use gabapenti
N and tramadol for my with drawls . Good luck to you and may god help all of us addicts be set free!!!! :)))
Les Nicole, I heard the withdrawal ease was no good. You said you were taking 2 mg a day. I'm assuming 1/2 twice a day. Going to 1/4 a day seems too fast. For me, the bad withdrawals came after breaking in half, then 1/3's. Anything less than that was bad for me. Also, be very careful with the powder. I took 1 tsp. before bed and had the next 3 days of feeling horrible. I believe I should have stopped the Subutex for at least 24 hr first. The kratom seemed to limit the withdrawals, but gave me bad headaches, body aches, etc. I figured I will get lower on my Subutex dose, wait 24 hrs, then try it again. The Kratom powder I bought was Bali. Ps. Keep in mind we are all different and the powder did somewhat seem to work. This alone gives me more hope. Best of luck! Z. Remember go slow and we will beat this drug.
