1 REPLY Updatedits guaifenesin and phenylephrine Guaifenesin is an expectorant. It helps loosen congestion in your chest and throat, making it easier to cough out through your mouth. Phenylephrine is a decongestant that shrinks... no reason to be alarmed! ## I actually tried to look this particular pill up online, but couldn't find anything posted about it anywhere. So thanks for taking a moment to share your finding on that. It's definitely a big help when there's no other way to identify something like that. If anyone else ever comes across a similar pill, I did find that most round tablets starting with a "44 xxx" number sequence are generally common over-the-counter drugs here in the US. Would you also happen to know who manufactures this pill?
1 REPLY UpdatedHi. Need help identifying a small white pill. Imprint is LM over the score line and 25 under the score line. ## Hi Kassius, Does your pill also happen to have an "X" on the opposite side? I haven't been able to verify my findings, but from what I could gather, a round white pill with those markings is supposed to be an over-the-counter expectorant and bronchodialator by the name of Vasopro. It contains the active ingredients Ephederine (25mg) + Guaifenesin (200mg). Please post back if you think this could be a match!
1 REPLY UpdatedFound this pill in my sons room. should I be concerned. and what is it. ## If you found a pill in your son's room and do not know what it is, yes you should be very, very, very concerned. There should not be any pills in your son's room, including over-the-counter and supplements. You need to control all pills in your residence, know what everything is, what it is used for, dosage, time(s) of dosing, and who is supposed to be taking it. No one should be taking anything without parental knowledge, consent, and supervision, to include supplements and over-the-counter. Sometimes, kids/teens start abusing by taking/experimenting with whatever is in the house, and eventually they can end up trading with friends or dealers or selling. This is an emergency... your son's life and/or...
4 REPLIES UpdatedUrologist put me on this in 1984. It now has become illegal in Wisconsin to get guaifenesin PSE in Wisconsin. This is the only thing that controls my bladder. Is there any way I could still get this as a prescription?? I do not want Mucinex D. If not what is the best generic overactive bladder medicine? Thank you so much. ## Hello, Pubby2! How are you? I am not familiar with the specific laws there, but your pharmacist should be able to let you know if you can still get it via prescription, or not. What other medications have you tried?
1 REPLY UpdatedWhat is it used for? ## Hello, Sally! How are you? 1 REPLY UpdatedCan I take mucinex dm and similasan mucus relief together? I have a severe head cold with lots of mucus. ## Hi Shelly, I'd like to be able to provide you with the correct information, but unfortunately there are no drug interaction checkers that compare pharmaceutical preparations and natural or homeopathic formulas (such as Similasan). In many cases, natural alternatives like this are used as an adjunctive therapy to other medications for additional relief. From my own personal experience I'd feel comfortable using the two together. However, I know medications can effect each individual differently, so you may just want to get a second opinion from your doctor first if you have any reservations regarding its use. I hope this helps!

1 REPLY Updatedfound this on my floor and do not know what kind of pill it is. ## I can't find a listing for a pill with this marking. The reason for this is that the AZ marking is used by Astra-Zeneca Pharmaceuticals on their over the counter medications and, as such, the markings on not required to be logged like those on prescription medications. They are sold in many different stores throughout the U.S. Does anyone recognize this tablet? ## Pill with AZ 286 on it and the pill is round and white ## AZ 286 - Large, White Round Tablet Sinus Relief (Generic) Acetominophen 325 mg Guaifenesin 200 mg Phenylephrin HCL 10 mg ## Yup, that's right. It's sold in single doses in travel size packages in convenience store, gas stations, etc. For allergy aymptom relief. Works pretty well actually. ## ...
5 REPLIES UpdatedHonestly these pills suck they are suppose to be for runny nose and cough but it is no help what so ever! They honestly do not help at all and there is nothing for you guys to say to change my mind ## I'm sorry you feel that way about this medication. In my opinion, a higher dose of Guaifenesin and Phenylephrine is probably in order. The one you have is only 200mg/5mg (a dose more suitable for kids). However I'm also finding it at much higher dosages of 600mg/20mg or 1200mg/25mg combinations. That's 4 to 6 times as potent as the dose you're currently taking. So you could end up changing your mind once you try a higher dosage, that's all I'm saying. I hope this helps! :)
